Полученные данные свидетельствуют об их широкой экологической толерантности и способности к расселению на большие расстояния, а также дают ключевую информацию о биоразнообразии и биогеографии полярных регионов.Five species of bipolar lichen native to both the Antarctic Peninsula and Northern Russia were studied. The obtained data indicate their broad ecological tolerance and ability to disperse over long distance and also provide key information on the biodiversity and biogeography of polar regions
