    Hybrid System Using Two Panel Parallel Solar Cells 110 WP and PLN Power Source

    The limited availability of electricity and its continued use need to was sought for savings by providing alternative energy. New renewable energy sourced from sunlight can be an energy solution for electrical energy needs. Savings can be done using hybrid techniques from two sources to supply the load. This research makes hybrid plants utilizing sunlight using two panels of 110 wp capacity solar cells installed parallel to get a large output current. In this hybrid system used a deep cycle 12v / 100 Ah battery to supply 100-250 watts of light for three to four hours. The test results show that battery charging is very dependent on solar radiation and is needed for seven hours to reach 88% capacity and the inverter supplies a load of 213.5 watts on average for 45 minutes requiring 20% of battery capacity

    Beberapa hal yang perlu mendapat perhatian dalam merancang jaringan komputer adalah collision domain dan broadcast domain, sehingga ketika diimplementasikan tidak muncul permasalahan di kemudian hari. Colision domain perlu diatasi dengan pemakaian perangkat seperti switch sehingga hanya memiliki satu collision domain saja. Jaringan komputer yang hanya mengandalkan sejumlah switch untuk jaringan yang besar sangat berdampak pada broadcast domain, untuk itu perlu sejumlah router untuk memisahkan broadcast domainnya, seperti penggunaan routing statis dalam perancangan jaringan komputer yang tidak kompleks. Kinerja jaringan komputer dapat dipantau dengan penganalisis jaringan seperti wireshark. Wireshark adalah penganalisa paket yang digunakan untuk pemecahan masalah, analisis, dan pengembangan protokol komunikasi. Rancangan jaringan dengan server DNS dibuat dengan routing statis, membuat tabel routing dan mengkonfigurasi router. Menguji koneksi ke DNS dan proses pemantauan jaringan. Pemantauan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan Wireshark menunjukkan jaringan komputer bekerja dengan baik

    Peralatan elektronik seperti di kantor sering tidak efisien karena beberapa perangkat masih berfungsi walaupun tidak ada aktivitas. Pengontrol peralatan dengan pengatur waktu adalah salah satu untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Tetapi mode seperti itu memiliki masalah ketika tepatnya peralatan dibutuhkan saat masih digunakan. Desain ini adalah model untuk mengendalikan peralatan elektronik, seperti di kantor yang dapat dikelola secara terpusat oleh operator. Teknik yang digunakan adalah membuat pengontrol dengan teknologi mux-demux. Teknik ini mengatur setiap perangkat hanya dengan mengaktifkan atau menonaktifkan peralatan yang akan dikontrol melalui pusat kontrol. Sistem ini memiliki tiga bagian: bagian mux-demux, bagian kontrol, dan bagian driver peralatan. Dari hasil penelitian melalui uji laboratorium dan simulasi diperoleh bahwa sistem kontrol ini dapat mengontrol peralatan elektronik per unit peralatan atau keseluruhan peralatan secara bersamaan.     Design of E-KTM Based On Contactless Smartcard for Access Electro Department Parking Service State Polytechnic of Semarang

    E-KTM is an electronic student identification (card ID) card which function besides to student identity, it can be used to access several services at State Polytechnic of Semarang such as to access parking service. In this research, E-KTM has used contactless smart card technology will be used to access facilities parking at electro department area parking. The gate of parking area will be installed two barrier gate to entrance and exit. To access this parking facility, E-KTM must be attached to RFID reader near the entrance gate, and then the barrier gate could open. The system controlled with microcontroller arduino Mega 2560 and will automatically take and save the data of the card ID in database system, and then the infrared sensor would detected the object and a few minutes the barrier gate closed. The system also works for the exit. While the performance to determine average service time with results 2.927 open time and 2.913 close time 2.95 seconds for entrance gate and 2.792 open time and 2.789 close time for exit gate.Index Terms””E-KTM card ID, Parking service, database syste

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     The Utilization of Air Conditioning Heat Waste as Cloth Drying Energy Source

    Air Conditioning (AC) as an air conditioner has been used on one side only as a room cooling. The cooling process with Air Conditioning produces heat as a result of the work of the condenser component in the AC. This heat can be used as an alternative energy source. This study aims to utilize hot air discharging Air Conditioning as an energy source for drying clothes. This development is based on the Thosiba AC specification. The specification data is used to get the coefficient of performance (COP) and heating effect. Development is also carried out for studies in the form of experiments. The results of the study indicate that the application of AC exhaust heat has the potential to be developed as an alternative energy in the process of drying clothes

    Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
