Synthesis of Organic–Inorganic Nanohybrids-Based Polymeric Nanocomposites
Organic–inorganic nanohybrids-based polymer nanocomposites are made up of two different components, and these hybrids attained great attention over last decades due to their diversified framework and fascinating features. These nanohybrids possess synergistic characteristics of both organic and inorganic substances. Different synthetic routes are used to synthesize these materials with enhanced morphology, tunable features, and fine nanostructures. This chapter focuses on various synthetic routes for fabrication of organic–inorganic-based nanopolymeric composites. Synthetic strategies and protocols of different routes have been described in details. Behaviour of electrical conductivity in CsI–Al2O3 and CsI–TiO2 systems
AbstractThis paper reports the effect of heterogeneously doped alumina and titania on the ionic conductivity of CsI. Composite materials (1−x)CsI–xAl2O3 and (1−x)CsI–xTiO2, x=0–0.7 have been prepared and studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and impedance spectroscopy. The results confirmed the formation of a composite in which the interface layer plays an important role in controlling the bulk properties of the material. Enhancement of electrical conductivity is noticed with the increase in the mole percent (mol%) of dispersoid and the maximum enhancement is observed at x=0.3 in case of alumina as well as titania. Arrhenius equation is used to study the effect of temperature on conductivity and activation energy. As the electrical conductivity increased, the activation energy was found to be decreased. The activation energy for CsI–xAl2O3 and CsI–xTiO2 systems was 0.713 and 0.677eV, respectively
Human Security and Central Asian States
Since independence, Central Asian states are facing problems of security in one form or another including civil wars, ethnic and interstate conflicts, border issues as well as terrorism and extremism. Having a look at the 21st century security threats to the region, human security challenges become prominent. There are growing activities of drug and human traffickers, child labor, corruption, growing poverty, ecological issues and climatic changes along with growing radicals and extremist elements in the states of Central Asia. Security of Central Asian states depends significantly on the human security. Lasting security and development cannot be obtained unless and until various dimensions of human security become priority of the governments in the region. The improvement in this arena requires three level strategies: national, regional and international.</jats:p

Access and use of the Internet in the libraries of Lahore, Pakistan
This study is to find out the level of the Internet access in libraries, its uses by library staff and the problems regarding access and use of Internet in libraries of Lahore, Pakistan. The research is based on primary data. A structured questionnaire survey was conducted by (n=75) 48 academic libraries (university and college), 21 special libraries, five public libraries and one school library in the city of Lahore. Findings of the study may be useful for policy makers to understand the status of the Internet access and its need as well as for library schools to revise the curriculum to improve the Internet skills of future librarians

Opinnäytetyössäni kerron Pinokkio-nuken rakennuksesta Kaarinan Nuorisoteatterin näytelmään. Kirjoitan Pinokkion henkilöhahmon historiasta, sekä kirjailija Carlo Collodista. Kerron tekemistäni taiteellisista ja teknisistä ratkaisuista sekä siitä, miten ne liittyvät alkuperäisen tarinan hahmoon ja miten rakentamani nuken hahmo kehittyi työskentelyni aikana.In my thesis I write about constructing Pinocchio-puppet for Kaarina Youth Theatre. I write about the history and story of Pinocchio and also about the author, Carlo Collodi. I tell about the artistic and technical solutions which led to these conclusions. I explain how the history and fame of Pinocchio affected and supported these processes
