Bibliographics for the 983 eprints in the live archives of E-LIS : trends and status report up to 7th July 2004, based on author-self-archiving metadata
The priority for ideas and philosophy related to "Network Theory" have been traced back and documented by Braun(2004),and credit goes to Karinthy(1929).The IT has empowered to realise it, as the most practical phenomena and it is no more a humour. The OAI (Open Archives Initiatives)and ACIS (Academic Contributor Information System)are progressive in the direction ,which may lead to realise the "Collective Genius" at global level. Focus of present study is on Author-Self-Archiving (A-S-A)Metadata of the 983 Eprints in the Live Archives of the E-LIS (EPrints of Library and Information Science),which were approved till 7th July 2004.The A-S-A Metadata was used for librametric analysis. Scientometric Portrait of Homi Jehangir Bhabha: The Father of Indian Nuclear Research Programme
Quantitative and qualitative analysis with graphic representation of the publication productivity of a scientist facilitates easy and clear perception about the work of a scientist. Bhabha’s scientific work spanned over more than three decades (1933-1967) during which he published 104 publications, which could be classified into nine fields: Interaction of Radiation with Matter (4), Quantum Electrodynamics (5), Mathematical Physics (2), Cosmic Ray Physics (18), Elementary Particle Physics (14), Field Theory (15), General Physics (2), Nuclear Physics (4) and General (40). The highest number of publications (6) were published in 1941, 1945 and 1964 respectively. The average number of publications published per year was 3.05. His productivity coefficient was 0.05 which is a clear indicates that his publication productivity was quite consistent throughout his scientific career. He was single author in 79 of his publications and the main author in 24 publications indicates that he always preferred to work himself and lead the team as ‘mentor’. Bhabha had 22 collaborators during the period. Team of research collaborators working with a successful scientist documents the sociological aspect of history of science while generating knowledge by a leader in a domain.
Bhabha became a citable author in 1937. Bhabha received 1211 citations to his 30 publications out of 104 publications. Out of 104, 74 publications did not receive any citations. Out of 74 publications, 40 publications dealt subjects mainly of general interest. Bhabha’s 86.66 percent of cited publications received their first citations within four years of their publication indicates that his publications were noticed immediately and had direct impact among the fellow researchers working all over the world. His overall citation rate was 11.64 per cited publication. The highest citations 389 were received to the domain ‘Cosmic ray physics’. The highest number of citations received were 45 in 1938. His self-citations were only 24 (1.98%) and citations by others were 1187 (98.02%). The highest self citations were six in 1946. Bhabha’s mean diachronous self-citation rate was 1.98. The highest citation rate 28.4 was to the domain ‘Quantum electrodynamics. His single authored publications have received the highest number 863 (71.26%) of citations. Bhabha’s five publications have been cited more than 100 times each. His publications have been cited by the authors working in various diverse fields like nuclear physics, mathematical physics, instrumentation, optics, geophysics and geochemistry, condensed matter physics, applied physics, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering etc., indicating a very diverse influence and impact of Bhabha’s publications. Bhabha’s publications have also been cited by the Nobel laureates like V. L. Ginzberg, Wolfgang Pauli, H. A. Bethe, M. Born, W. Bothe, E. P. Wigner, H. Yukawa, P. M. S. Blackett and C. N. Yang which is an indication of his originality of ideas and high quality of publications

Introduction
Consequence of lopsided blood-thinning-drug, lowering blood-viscosity (BV), is bleeding and very frequently asymptomatic-hemorrhage (AH) and the acute-heart-failure (AHF) happen. V.R.S.Kumar et al. (2020) reported that such asymptomatic episodes are due to the internal flow choking in the cardiovascular system (CVS) at a critical blood-pressure-ratio (BPR), which is regulated by biofluid/blood heat capacity ratio (BHCR).
Methods
The closed-form-analytical-methodology is used for correlating BV, BPR, BHCR, vessel geometry and ejection fraction (EF). In vitro method is used for the BHCR estimation of healthy subjects. In silico method is used for demonstrating the Sanal flow choking.
Results
The analytical models reveal that the relatively high and low BV are risk factors of internal flow choking. In vitro study shows that N2, O2, CO2 & Ar gases are predominant in fresh-blood samples of the healthy subjects at a temperature range of 37-400 C (98.6-1040 F), which increases the risk of flow-choking. In silico results demonstrated the Sanal flow choking followed by the shock wave generation and pressure-overshoot in a simulated artery with the divergent/bifurcation region.
Conclusions
An overdose of blood-thinning drug reduces BV and increases Reynolds number causing high-turbulence leading to the Sanal flow choking. Asymptomatic stroke could be diminished by concurrently lessening the BV and flow turbulence by rising thermal tolerance level in terms of BHCR or by decreasing the BPR. In conclusion, BPR must always be lower than 1.8257 as dictated by the lowest BHCR of the evolved gas for prohibiting asymptomatic stroke
Scientometric Dimensions of Innovation Communication Productivity of the Chemistry Division at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre
Scientrometric analysis of 1733 papers published by the teams comprising total of 926 participating scientists at Chemistry Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) during 1970-1999 in the domains: Radiation & Photochemistry and Chemical Dynamics (649), Solid State Studies (558), Inorganic, Structural and Materials Chemistry (460) and Theoretical Chemistry (66) were analysed for yearwise productivity, authorship pattern and collaboration. The highest number of publicationsin a year were 98 and 104 produced in 1989 and 1996 respectively. Average number of publications per year were 57.76. Highest collaboration coefficient 1.0 was in 1977 and 1999.
The authors with most prolific publications were J. P. Mittal (204), R. M. Iyer (190), J. V. Yakhmi (156), V. K. Jain (106), Hari Mohan (96), K. N. Rao (92), I. K. Gopalakrishnan (80), P. N. Moorthy (78), T. Mukherjee (77), and S. K. Kulshreshtha (74).
The core journals preferred for publishing with high number of publications were: Indian Journal of chemistry - A (96), Radiation Physics and Chemistry (92), Chemical Physics Letters (67), Journal of Physical Chemistry (59) and Indian Journal of Chemistry (45). Effects of canopy cover on fruiting intensity and fruit removal of a tropical invasive weed
Lantana camara (hereafter, Lantana) is among the worst invasive alien plants spread extensively across Africa, Australia and Asia at an alarming rate, posing significant challenges to conservation of native biodiversity. While, Lantana invasion is widely recognised to be more pronounced in open-canopy habitats (including deciduous forests, forest edges and gaps), the potential role of variation in seed dispersal across habitats varying in overstory canopy cover is poorly understood. Avian frugivores are among primary seed dispersers of the fleshy-fruited Lantana. We monitored 45 Lantana shrubs across a gradient of overstory canopy cover to determine the relationship between fruiting intensity and canopy cover. We watched 80 Lantana shrubs (240 h) across a canopy cover gradient to determine 1) differences in frugivore assemblage visiting Lantana across open- and closed-canopy habitats, 2) drivers of frugivore visitation on Lantana, and 3) relationship between seed disperser visitation rate and overstory canopy cover. We found that Lantana shrubs under low overstory canopy cover had higher fruit abundance than those in high canopy cover. Frugivore assemblage differed between Lantana shrubs in open- versus closed-canopy cover habitats. Drivers of frugivore visitation on Lantana varied across different frugivore species with a greater probability of occurrence of bulbuls (the primary seed dispersers of Lantana) on shrubs under low overstory canopy cover. Visitation rates of the effective seed dispersers were higher on shrubs under low overstory canopy cover. Thus, there was greater chances of dispersal of seeds in habitats with low overstory canopy cover. The study demonstrates variable fruiting intensity and fruit removal rate as a driver of differences in dispersal of seeds across habitats. It highlights greater vulnerability of open habitats to invasion and the need to prioritise Lantana management efforts in open habitats. Anthropogenic activities that lead to canopy openings (e.g. tree lopping and logging) likely facilitate Lantana invasion through greater fruit production and seed dispersal.The project contains data on variation in fruiting phenology, frugivore composition, and seed disperser visitation on invasive Lantana camara across open and forest habitats in the Western Himalayan region of India. The data was collected by Ms Yukti V.Taneja for her master's dissertation study in Wildlife Institute of India (WII) under the guidance of Dr. Navendu Page and R. Suresh Kumar of WII and Dr. Rohit Naniwadekar of Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF, India). Data were collected from open shrubland-grassland mosaics and Shorea-robusta dominated moist deciduous forest sites in and around the WII campus. The manuscript related to the study has been accepted in Forest Ecology and Management and will be available shortly. Elaeocarpus gadgilii A.M.Maya, V.Suresh & K.M.P.Kumar sp. nov. (Figs. 1, 2) Diagnosis:—the new taxon differs from E. serratus and E. variabilis by the coriaceous leaves with conspicuous venation on adaxial surface, the outer tooth of anthers with very long shining setae, and the wider fruits. Description:—Trees, generally ≥ 12 m (up to 20 m high), with cylindrical trunk; stem grayish-green, with scattered adpressed, white hairs throughout. Branchlets slender, terete, felted, lenticellate. Leaves 1-foliate, alternately arranged and slightly crowded towards the branchlet apices; petiolate, petiole slender, terete, 13–30 × 1.2–2.4 mm, greenish to reddish, sparsely pubescent, with a pair of pegs at the apex. Lamina elliptic to broadly elliptic, 5–10 × 3.3–5.2 cm, thick, coriaceous; base cuneate, obtuse; apex acute or obtuse, shortly acuminate or emarginate; margin revolute, remotely crenate-serrulate; leaf teeth 3–17 mm long; main veins in 3–5 pairs, mid-vein and main veins conspicuous on adaxial side, more prominent on abaxial side, densely adpressed to semi spreading light brown hairs over mid vein and main veins on abaxial side, main vein forks at 8–19mm from mid vein. Domatia at the angle between the mid-vein and the main veins, covered with sparse adpressed brown hairs. Inflorescence axillary or lateral racemes, 8–28 flowered. Peduncles are slender, sub-terete, 35–82 × 1.2–2.1 mm, overtopping or condensed on twig tip, moderately to densely covered by adpressed brown hairs. Flower buds ovoid, with apex acute. Flowers pedicellate, pedicel slender, terete, 3.5–7 × 0.7–1.5 mm, pinkish to reddish-brown, densely covered in light brown hairs; bracts caducous, 2–2.2 mm long, lanceolate, brownish, floccose tomentose on outer surface. Sepals 5, free, 4–8.3 mm long, reddish-brown, lanceolate, with acute apex, base truncate, persistent after petals fall. Outer surface of sepals verrucose, densely covered by short, adpressed brown hairs, Inner surface of sepals margin and midvein are densely covered with adpressed white hairs with light brown tinge at its base. Petals 5, free, obovate, 6–9 × 1.2–4 mm, with 25–37 divisions, each divisions 2.2–4.7mm long with round apex, white colored with pinkish strips at the base of outer surface, both outer and inner surface with sparse white adpressed hairs in lower half and margin with few hairs. Disk lobes 1.0–1.05 × 2–3.5 mm, ovate, with rounded or truncate base, surrounding the ovary and partially covering its base, yellow to pink, densely covered with long, adpressed white hairs; hairs ½ times longer than disk remnants. Stamens 25–38; filaments straight, sometimes slightly curved to sigmoid (sigmoid ones more often in the outer ring of stamens), 0.05–1.70 × 0.04–0.17 mm; anthers 0.65–3.24 × 0.2–0.4 mm, basifixed, moderately hairy during anthesis, with the outer tooth longer than the inner, both with rounded apex, outer tooth apex having 3–6 long setae; setae 0.15–1.88 mm long, up to ½– ¾ times longer than anthers. Ovary 1.2–3 mm long and 0.9–1 mm in diameter, greenish, felted with long, adpressed white hairs, ½ times longer than ovary; locules three, each locule with 2 inversely comma-shaped ovules, fertile locule one, with only one functional ovule developing into 1 functional seed; style 1.6–4.4 × 0.14–0.4 mm. Fruits ellipsoid, 30–50 × 15–25 mm, with apex round and shortly acuminate, base acute to round, surface smooth or slightly knobby, greenish to reddish, with white small spots or patches, sparsely pubescent; mesocarp creamy white, suffused with reddish towards the inner side; endocarp 0.3–0.4 cm, surface with ovoid stone like hard projections and sparse, short, light brown, adpressed hairs. Impacts of Watershed Development Programmes: Experiences and Evidences from Tamil Nadu
The overall performance of watershed development programmes has been examined in the state of Tamil Nadu. The impacts of major watershed development programmes have been outlined in terms of biophysical impacts, environmental impacts, socio-economic impacts and overall economic impacts. It is pointed out that the watershed development activities have made significant positive impacts on various biophysical aspects such as soil and water conservation, soil fertility, soil and water erosion in cropped area, changes in cropping pattern, cropping intensity, production and productivity of crops. Watershed development activities have shown significant positive impacts on water table, perenniality of water in wells, water availability for cattle and other domestic uses, etc. The overall economic impacts have been evaluated in terms of NPV, IRR and BCR. The peoples’ participation in watershed development activities has been found satisfactory but the optimal level is yet to be achieved. Training of farmers has been found effective in disseminating technical knowledge. According to the study, the future strategy should be the movement towards a balanced approach of matching the supply-driven menu with a set of demand-driven activities. Peoples’ participation, involvement of Panchayati Raj Institutions, local user groups and NGOs along side institutional support from different levels, viz. the Union Government, the state, the district and block levels should be ensured to make the programme more participatory, interactive and cost-effective. Convergence of various rural development programmes around the watershed could be ensured to promote holistic development of watersheds. For its continued success, the programme, should be economically efficient, financially viable, technically feasible and socially acceptable while ensuring equity. For, sustainable development, regular and routine monitoring of environmental parameters is important as environmental enhancement increases the credibility and acceptability of the programme.Agricultural and Food Policy,
