Educators are expected to have a significant influence on the formation of human resources in the cognitive, affective and skills, both in terms of physical, mental and spiritual. This obviously requires a good quality of education as well as professional educators, so the quality of education can be truly optimal role in people's lives. For that educators are required to always improve, to develop themselves in the education building. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of quality of worklife, and teachers performance, also testing the effect of quality of worklife on teachers performance at Islamic High School in Jombang. The sampling technique in this study using Proportionate Random Sampling. These results indicate that good quality of work life it can encourege teachers to good performanc

ABSTRACT   The objective of this study is to examine the effect of kualitas kehidupan kerja on organizational commitment, also testing the effect of quality of worklife on competence and the effect of kualitas kehidupan kerja on competence with the effect of kualitas kehidupan kerja on organizational commitment organizational commitment as mediating. The population and sample in this study were all vocational high school teachers about 208 teachers in Kendal Indonesia using Proportionate Random Sampling. The data analysis in this study is Stuctural Equation Modelling (SEM) using software AMOS 26.0 with the result kualitas kehidupan kerja spirituality have a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. These results indicate that good kualitas kehidupan kerja teachers as theirs commitment and kualitas kehidupan kerja can encourege teachers to good performance. It is necessary to improve teacher performance by periodically assessing teaching performance through evaluation indicators in accordance with Indonesian Law No. 14 of 2005, so that teachers, in carrying out the learning programs, do not go in the wrong direction, always base their work on the basic competence syllabus, and provide learning facilities/media so that teachers can use learning media as support for classroom teaching and learning activities to enhance students' motivation and academic achievement. Key words: kualitas kehidupan kerja, Commitment, Competenc

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

The nurse is one of the main components in providing health care to the patient , the presence of nurses providing more value than a treatment , so that patients do not just get the health care that are holistic . The purpose of this study is to examine and determine the direct effect of leadership style on performance, to test and determine indirect influence of leadership style on performance through job satisfaction , and to examine and determine the direct effect of job satisfaction on performance. The hypothesis of this study leadership style through job satisfaction of nurses affect the performance , leadership style directly affects the performance of nurses , and job satisfaction directly influence the performance . Respondents for this study as many as 180 people , because the population is already known, the method of data collection using census methods and to answer this hypothesis , a number of analytical tools have been used by the analysis tool that analyzes the path . The author uses the path analysis. From the results of the analysis carried out can be concluded that the first hypothesis that the style of leadership through job satisfaction has positive influence on employee performance is proven, the second hypothesis leadership style direct positive effect on the performance of nurses proved, to the satisfaction of three direct positive effect on the performance of nurse

Human resources are seen as having an increasingly large role for the success of an organization, although at this time the rapid development of technology also affects the progress and success of a company (Anwar, 2021). OCB is a term used to identify employee behavior. The achievement of job satisfaction and OCB in employees are two aspects that are highly expected by the organization. Organizations that are able to make their employees have job satisfaction will produce employees who show a positive attitude towards their work. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) can arise from various factors in the organization, one of which is the existence of high organizational commitment from employees. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of Organizational Culture on Performance Through Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior as Intervening Variables (Case Study of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. Unit V). Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to employees of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. Unit V, either directly or indirectly. The population used is 115 employees consisting of four age groups, namely under 25 years, 25 years to 37 years, 38 years to 50 years, and above 50 years. Data analysis in this study used inferential data analysis, measurement model (outer model), structural model (inner model), descriptive statistical analysis model, path analysis method, hypothesis testing, mediation testing, and Sobel test. The results of this study indicate that organizational culture has a significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk., Organizational culture is able to increase the organizational commitment of employees of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk., organizational culture has an influence on OCB, organizational commitment is not able to improve the performance of employees of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk., OCB acts as a partial mediation on employee performance, and organizational commitment does not act as a mediation on employee performance at PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. Units V

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
