How to improve online customer acquisition by using key performance indicator (KPI) analysis? : Case AJ-Johansson Photography
The purpose of this study is to determine the relevant key performance indicators in customer acquisition for AJ Photography Tmi. AJ Photography Tmi is an entrepreneur which sells photography related services to events, individuals and media publications. The entrepreneur believes that the usage of online analytics tools can deliver business insights and actionable outcomes for his business, however; the methodology of using these tools has been previously non-existent
AJ Eardley 1935 Diary
Geology Prof. Armand Eardley (1901-1972) accompanied Frederica De Laguna on the archaeological expedition to Alaska in the summer of 1935. At that time, he was a professor at University of Michigan, before finishing his career at University of Utah (my institution), where he was also a dean. This was a documented archaeological expedition of the Lower Yukon led by Frederica De Laguna. The trip also included ethnologist Norman Reynolds. This album relates to the published article "An archaeological reconnaissance of the middle and lower Yukon Valley, Alaska" by Frederica De Laguna, American Antiquity v. 2 no. 1, p. 6-12. Dr. De Laguna was influential for her work on Alaska Native American Art, and some of her interests are clearly noted in the diary. After his photos were developed from the trip, he laid out the sequential photos and cruise ship memorabilia, interspersed with the appropriate sections from his daily diary. Being a scientist, Eardley gave a fascinating and detailed account of his trip, and recounts the natural history (with some sketches) as well as stories and interactions with the natives
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
On the AJ Conjecture for Knots
We confirm the AJ conjecture [Ga2] that relates the A-polynomial and the colored Jones polynomial for hyperbolic knots satisfying certain conditions. In particular, we show that the conjecture holds true for some classes of two-bridge knots and pretzel knots. This extends the result of the first author in [Le2], who established the AJ conjecture for a large class of two-bridge knots, including all twist knots. Along the way, we explicitly calculate the universal SL₂(C)-character ring of the knot group of the (−2, 3, 2n + 1)-pretzel knot, and show it is reduced for all integers n
Nuevos datos sobre Aj Ch’aaj Naah, Aj K’uhuun de Toniná
The figure of Aj Ch’aaj Naah is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding in the history of the Aj K’uhuun officials of Tonina. Despite being a politico-religious figure very well identified in the academic literature about this city, there was very little known about him. However, thanks to the recent recovery of two new monuments, we can now enrich previously unknown aspects not only about the life of Aj Ch’aaj Naah but also about the complexity and particularities of the Aj K’uhuun office in Tonina

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
