    Get PDF
The objective of the project is to analyse the pipe network using linear theory method. The analysis is obtained when the flows satisfy both the continuity equation at each junction and conservation of energy equation in each pipe. Unlike the Hardy Cross method and the Newton-Raphson method. Linear theory method is not suitable for hand calculation because it used a high order matrix to solve the problem. Therefore, it is recommended to use computer and consequently the main objective of the project is to develope a software to analyse the pipe network using linear theory method

Productivity is an important indicator of economic growth and social health. It is vital in identifying key factors that are described to workers’ health in their workplace and life. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMDs) are becoming prevalence among the administrative workers around the world due to increase work-related stress instigated by structured and routine workloads which put extreme pressures on their physical and emotional states. This occurrence instigates stress to upsurge, making workers vulnerable to WRMDs. In a highly demanding working environment, the problem of WRMDs is getting more serious as compared to previous days. This phenomenon brings significant negative effect on the productivity of the employees. More recently, psychosocial factors in the work environment have been considered; however, findings across these studies have not been consistent. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the factors that contribute to the prevalence of WRMDs such as psychosocial factors and stress, and to examine the influence of WRMDs on employees’ productivity i.e. absenteeism as well as presenteeism. This study also aims at investigating the moderating role of coping styles on the relationship between stress and WRMDs among administrative workers. Analyzing a total of 368 responses collected from respondents, the findings specify that the prevalence of WRMDs among administrative workers that includes neck (67.1%), shoulders (73.4%) and upper-back disorders (70.1%) was very high. Furthermore, using logistics regression and multiple regression analyses, the present study empirically establishes that personal risk factors are the most important predictor that contributes to the prevalence of WRMDs. The findings also indicate that stress has significant association with seven regions of WRMDs. Besides, WRMDs have significant association with productivity i.e. absenteeism and presenteeism. In this study, personal risk factors are the most influential predictor between psychosocial, WRMDs and productivity. The results of the study also reveal that nine of musculoskeletal regions partially mediate the relationship between stress and absenteeism and presenteeism. On the other hand, this study revealed that there is only significant relationship between stress and emotional coping styles. These findings pose several implications to the managers, among others, managers have to be constantly aware of the psychosocial factors of their subordinates so that appropriate actions can be taken to avoid prolonged effects especially on their productivity i.e. absenteeism and presenteeism. Managers also should be constantly aware on the stress level of their subordinates to avoid from burnout and contribute to WRMDs and as well as work productivity

Why we need water level alarm? Water is some important thing which is useful for especially human in the world. Some of country has less water supply give their citizens problem. They may get some disease like cholera because some of them don’t have better and clean water supply. It is so different with us, live in the country which have rich of clean water supply and save for us to use. Because of that we must be thankful to our God because we was given the special gift and it is valuable. But it is so sad to us because there still have some that don’t care about water and they always waste water on the useless way. Some water is wasted under our estimate. The common way the water waste, by the leaking of supplying pipe, and sometimes water is wasted where there have some problem in whatever types of water tank like failure of the tank’s buoy can make the water flow up extremely the and water in the tank will flow out. Some of the water tank was put in outside or the place which seldom the house owner passed by some water tank by especially in flat house, the tank is high at top of the buildings roof. If something happened with their tank they don’t realized it until they see it their own self. We don’t know how much water was wasted before the house owner realized his water was over flowing. Because of this we got an idea in creating this water tank a safety alarm, why not we use in our houses water tank, Water Tank Safety Alarm. Water Tank Safety alarm is the circuits that can detect the overflowing water level in our water tank. The water alarm will detect the over flowing water; the siren and flashing lamp will be work on. The flashing lamp circuit and the siren is the fast way to us for detecting the overflow of water because here we use the sound sense and light (eye). The speaker or buzzer and the lamp, we can put it at the place where easier for us to hear the speaker or buzzer’s sound and see the light flashing

Awakening: The Abdullah Badawi Years in Malaysia

    No full text
Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi served as Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2003 to 2009. Better known as Pak Lah, he came in office with a huge mandate. In the 2004 General Elections, the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) won its best performance since 1969. Five years later in the 2008 GE, the BN won only 140 of 222 seats, a net loss of 58 seats. More importantly it meant the BN lost its customary two-thirds majority in parliament. More than thirty authors, Malaysians and non-Malaysians, give an assessment of the one-term Abdullah administration. The central theme of the book is the question: how did Tun Abdullah change the Malaysian political landscape? This volume offers a comprehensive glimpse of the Abdullah administration from both inside and outside the administration. “He assumed office as PM on a vast sea of optimism and he could have accomplished more. Indeed his motto when assuming office was “work with him, not for him”. He should have taken the opportunities of making sweeping changes in the cabinet, the civil service, judiciary and other organs of power and governance." -Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah- Contributors: Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi; Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah; Dato’ Seri Abdul Azim Zabidi; Datuk Zaid Ibrahim; Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khir Bin Toyo; Datuk Denison Jayasooria; Datuk Ramesh Chander; YB Liew Chin Tong; Edmund T.
