Optimal beaconing control for epidemic routing in delay tolerant networks
Owing to the uncertainty of transmission opportunities between mobile nodes, the routing in delay-tolerant networks (DTNs) exploits the mechanism of opportunistic forwarding. Energy-efficient algorithms and policies for DTN are crucial to maximizing the message delivery probability while reducing the delivery cost. In this contribution, we investigate the problem of energy-efficient optimal beaconing control in a DTN. We model the message dissemination under variable beaconing rate with a continuous-time Markov model. Based on this model, we then formulate the optimization problem of the optimal beaconing control for epidemic routing and obtain the optimal threshold policy from the solution of this optimization problem. Furthermore, through extensive numerical results, we demonstrate that the proposed optimal threshold policy significantly outperforms the static policy with constant beaconing rate in terms of system energy consumption savings
Analysis of Fu Caiyun's “dissolute beauty” and Zeng Pu's “struggle between two minds” :a study based on Bakhtin's polyphony in perspective
Fu Caiyun, the Reckless Beauty ””, is the most complex artistic character created by Zeng Pu in Sinful Sea F l owers, which has received mixed reviews from academics. The reason for the controversy is the obvious polyphony of Sinful Sea Flowers. Zeng Pu does not narrate Fu Caiyun's story with the absolute authority of the author, Fu Caiyun has a subjective position in the novel , and she expresses her own voice and forms a double subject dialogue with the author Zeng Pu's voice. Thus Fu Caiyun becomes a Reckless beauty with polyphonic characteristics in Sinful Sea Flowers. The polyphony of Reckless Beauty is the result of Zeng Pu's two minds struggle with the historical and cultural context in which he lives . The blending of new and old identities, the cultural dialogue between Chinese and Western influences are internal conflicts that impacted Zeng Pu' s rewriting of Fu Caiyun, rendering her character with a polyphonic nature of multiple voices. The text is filled with dialogues between Zeng Pu's self ””' and the other Fu Caiyun. Essentially, this represents a double voiced polyphony of Zeng Pu's consci o us and unconscious minds, embodying the struggle between two minds within his internal subjective world

The population of this survey study is customers who use the service of the shop with unknown absolute population. The study will be collected data from two groups of customers, which are 110 people from regular customers and irregular customer, collected by 110 by accidental sampling. This survey study was used questionnaire as a tool for data collection from the sample group. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (t - test, F - test (one - way ANOVA) and Pearson Correlation). The result showed that; (1) The overall of service quality of the store was high level and every aspect of service quality was high level as well; (2) The different personal factor such as sex, age, occupation and salary are not different in term of the opinion of service quality of Tae Zeng Li not different; (3) The marketing mix was correlation with the service quality of Tae Zeng Li in the same direction. Product, Price, People, Physical and Process was at high level of relationship with service quality. Place and Promotion was a moderate level of relationship with service quality

q-Differential equations for q-classical polynomials and q-Jacobi-Stirling numbers
We introduce, characterise and provide a combinatorial interpretation for the so-called q-Jacobi–Stirling numbers.
This study is motivated by their key role in the (reciprocal) expansion of any power of a second order
q-differential operator having the q-classical polynomials as eigenfunctions in terms of other even order operators,
which we explicitly construct in this work. The results here obtained can be viewed as the q-version of
those given by Everitt et al. and by the first author, whilst the combinatorics of this new set of numbers is a
q-version of the Jacobi–Stirling numbers given by Gelineau and the second author
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

FT-Raman studies on the transformation of G-actin to F-actin, the binding of cisplatin and transplatin to F-actin and the effects of the conformation of F-actin
The conformation change of G-actin to F-actin and the binding modes of cisplatin and transplatin to F-actin have been studied by FT-Raman spectroscopy. The studies show that the process of polymerization is related to the vibration of C-S Gauche mode (similar to 650 cm(-1)), which indicates that the methionine (Met) contributes to the polymerization of actin. The relative intensity of I(925)/I(803), reflecting the conformation of actin secondary structure, does not change during the polymerization process. The effect of cisplatin and transplatin on F-actin is dependent on the species and their concentrations. Cisplatin, at high concentrations, affects the conformation of F-actin mainly by binding with the sulphur of methionine. Transplatin, even at low concentrations, obviously affects the F-actin's conformation due to it's multiple binding sites, on N-containing sites in addition to S-methionine sites. These results relate to the differences in pharmacology and toxicology effects of the complexes. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.Biochemistry & Molecular BiologySCI(E)0ARTICLE2107-1132
