Una Aproximación a la liberación del mercado de los biocombustibles en Colombia
Get PDFResumen: La producción mundial de biocombustibles se ha venido incrementando en los últimos años, dado que diferentes países alrededor del mundo han venido explorando alternativas para remplazar parte de su demanda de combustibles fósiles. Esto se debe a los altos precios del petróleo y alta volatilidad producida por una alta dependencia de este. Los biocombustibles traen también beneficios ambientales, ya que su cadena de suministro emite menos CO2 que los combustibles fósiles y beneficios sociales ya que para obtener las materias primas se generan empleos. Para esta investigación se hace uso de un modelo de dinámica de sistemas con el fin analizar las políticas actuales de la producción de biocombustibles en Colombia, y se estudia como ha crecido la producción de estos. Se analizan posibles escenarios de la posibilidad de quitar los subsidios (dejando la posibilidad de liberar el mercado) y una reducción parcial de los incentivos. Effect on security of supply of renewable energy penetration in an electricity market: risks, opportunities, and challenges
Get PDFAs the electricity industry is changing worldwide with the advent of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, so the major concerns of policy makers are now security of supply and electricity prices to consumers. The new industry conditions of intermittency, seasonality, global-climate - variation and their effect on security of supply increase problem complexity, making difficult the task of pursuing three conflicting goals in the power industry: security of supply, competitive prices and environmental protection. In this context, and given the multiple uncertainties in power supply, most notably the technology transformation, this study uses modelling-based scenario analysis to investigate different, extreme, though plausible futures. System dynamics has been considered for the analysis of policy aimed at increasing the enetration of renewables and to explore how these energy sources may affect system reliability. Our study concludes that for the Colombian case, the large hydroelectric component has led to high olatility, thereby increasing the risk to capacity investment. Though not intuitive at first glance, renewable energies will stabilise the system in the medium-term by reducing price volatility (except when there is a very high level of installed renewables), and increasing security of supply, given their energy complementarityResumen: Con el cambio de la industria de electricidad y el aumento de las energías renovables, como solar y eólica, una de las mayores preocupaciones de los reguladores es garantizar la seguridad de suministro y precios asequibles para los consumidores finales. Las nuevas condiciones de intermitencia, estacionalidad, variación climática global y su efecto en la seguridad de suministro aumentan la complejidad del problema, haciendo difícil la labor de conseguir estas tres metas las cuales parecen ser conflictivas en la industria de electricidad. No full text37 páginasRESUMEN: El anteproyecto propone desarrollar un prototipo de aplicación móvil para prevenir el delirio en adultos mayores. El delirio es un trastorno neurológico agudo que afecta gravemente la salud y calidad de vida de esta población. La aplicación monitorizará regularmente las actividades de los pacientes y promoverá su independencia del hospital.
La justificación se basa en la importancia de prevenir el delirio en adultos mayores debido a su vulnerabilidad a complicaciones médicas. Dado que existen pocos programas efectivos, esta aplicación busca detectar signos tempranos de delirio y tomar medidas preventivas.
Los objetivos del proyecto son: identificar actividades preventivas para pacientes geriátricos en riesgo de deterioro cognitivo, desarrollar el prototipo de la aplicación y probar su funcionamiento. Estos objetivos se alcanzarán tras la entrega del producto final, recolectando la retroalimentación del personal del hospital para asegurar su satisfacción y confirmar que el producto cumple con los requisitos definidos.
El marco de referencia incluye antecedentes de estudios sobre intervenciones no farmacológicas para prevenir el delirio, destacando su efectividad e incluso algunos programas que se han implementado con este objetivo alrededor del mundo. También se abordan aspectos teóricos sobre el delirio, identificación de pacientes en riesgo, intervenciones no farmacológicas, uso racional de medicamentos y tratamiento de enfermedades médicas.
El procedimiento del proyecto contempla reuniones con el personal del Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe, definición del alcance y duración del proyecto, uso de metodologías ágiles, planteamiento de requisitos del software y desarrollo del prototipo.
En resumen, el anteproyecto busca desarrollar un prototipo de aplicación móvil para prevenir el delirio en adultos mayores mediante el monitoreo de actividades y medidas preventivas, con el objetivo de reducir complicaciones médicas y mejorar la calidad de vida. Get PDFE Call You S.A.S. es una empresa dedicada a dar soluciones como centro de contactos y BPO (Bussiness process outsourcing), que busca mejorar las capacidades que ofrece a sus principales usuarios en el sector salud, dentro de los que se encuentran: clínicas, IPS (Institución prestadora de servicios) y centros de salud en su modelo de atención a negocios, teniendo en cuenta al consumidor fi nal, en este caso los pacientes de citas médicas, que requieren un trato humano, amable y ágil para solucionar sus necesidades relacionadas con la salud.
Con el fin de contribuir al desarrollo de labores en el modelo de negocio de E Call You, se pretende obtener un modelo de analítica óptimo y e ciente, para lograrlo se utilizan herramientas de la analítica de datos, que permiten realizar una segmentación adecuada de los grupos de pacientes recurrentes de los centros médicos y a su vez, desarrollar un modelo predictivo que refleje el comportamiento de asignación de citas médicas acorde con el per fil del paciente y las necesidades de este.
En el desarrollo del proyecto se tiene en cuenta la captura y gestión de información en un entorno de bodega de datos, junto a herramientas para el análisis de estos datos que le permitan a la compañía mostrarse como líder del agendamiento en el sector salud. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
