The Playing Techniques of Balo-Balo in Kampung Tirang, Tegal Barat Subdistrict, Tegal City
This study aims to describe the playing techniques of the traditional performing art Balo-Balo, which has developed in Kampung Tirang, Tegal Barat District, Tegal City, as well as to explore the educational values embedded within it. The research adopts an ethnomusicological approach based on Alan P. Merriam’s theory, which views music as an integrated system comprising sound, musical behavior, and cultural concepts. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving local performers and community members. The findings reveal that Balo-Balo playing techniques involve role specialization for each musical instrument, such as Terbang Induk, Kempling, Kempyang, and Konteng, all of which are played collectively without the use of standardized musical notation. The learning process is carried out through oral tradition and direct practice, reflecting a cultural transmission model rooted in kinesthetic and non-written forms. Social values such as mutual cooperation, discipline, collaboration, and the preservation of local culture are reflected in the performance practice. These findings indicate that Balo-Balo’s playing techniques not only hold musical significance but also possess strong potential as a medium for culturally rooted arts education, character development, and the reinforcement of cultural identity within both formal and non-formal educational settings
ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA REPRESENTASI PEREMPUAN DALAM NOVEL OUT KARYA NATSUO KIRINO
ABSTRAK
Novel Out adalah salah satu hasil karya Natsuo Kirino, seorang penulis yang kerap mengangkat tema feminisme ke dalam novel-novel hasil karyanya. Tema feminisme yang diangkat Natsuo Kirino dalam karyanya yang berjudul Out, mampu memberikan penggambaran konsep kekuatan perempuan melalui karakter dari tokoh-tokoh yang ada di dalam novel ini. Novel ini berhasil menggambarkan kekuatan perempuan lewat cerita-cerita sederhana yang dibungkus dalam genre kriminal yang gelap. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap bagaimana perempuan direpresentasikan dalam novel Out. Metode kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode semiotika. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Pertama, dengan mengelompokan data yang berkaitan dengan perspektif novel dalam memposisikan nilai-nilai representasi perempuan lewat bahasa tulisannya kemudian menganalisis makna tanda-tanda dalam novel melalui uraian yang bersifat penjelas untuk mengetahui mengapa muncul representasi tersebut. Kedua, merumuskan analisis yang dilakukan pada tahap pertama. Teks yang akan dipilih dalam analisis nantinya yaitu melalui tahap pemilihan potongan-potongan cerita dalam novel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, representasi perempuan yang terwujud melalui: Pertama, representasi perempuan dalam kepemimpinan, yang menggambarkan bahwa perempuan pun mampu mengatur dan mengambil keputusan sebagai pemimpin. Kedua, representasi perempuan dalam keluarga, yang menggambarkan bahwa perempuan mampu diandalkan dalam menjalankan perannya di rumah tangga, baik sebagai pencari nafkah maupun sebagai pengurus rumah. Ketiga, representasi perempuan sebagai objek kekerasan yang menggambarkan posisi perempuan yang selalu lebih rendah dari laki-laki membuatnya sering menjadi korban kekerasan. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat diketahui ideologi yang dianut pengarang yaitu ideologi feminisme. Pengarang ingin mengajak pembaca untuk mengetahui makna hidup berdampingan antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Laki-laki dan perempuan adalah manusia, akan lebih baik jika saling menghargai tanpa harus membedakannya.
ABSTRACT
Novel Out is one of the works of Natsuo Kirino, a writer who is often the theme of feminism in the novels of his work. Natsuo Kirino’s feminism theme raised in his work entitled Out, capable of providing the power of women through the depiction of the concept of the character of the existing characters in this novel. This novel successfully illustrates the power of women through simple stories that are wrapped in a dark crime genre. The purpose of this study is to reveal how women are represented in the novel Out. Qualitative methods were used in this study is the semiotic method. In this study conducted in two phases. First, by classifying the data associated with a novel perspective to position the values of his representation of women through language then analyze the meaning of the signs in the novel through the descriptions that are explanatory to know why such representations appear. Second, formulate the analysis conducted in the first phase. Text to be selected in the later analysis through the selection stage pieces the story in the novel. These results indicate the existence of women's representation materialized through: First, the representation of women in leadership, which illustrates that women are able to manage and make decisions as a leader. Secondly, the representation of women in the family, which illustrates that women can rely on in their role in the household, as well as the breadwinner and housekeeper. Third, the representation of women in violence against women, which describes the position of women is always lower than men's making are often victims of violence. From these points, it is known that the author of the ideology espoused ideology of feminism. The author would like to invite the readers to know the meaning of coexistence between men and women. Men and women are human beings, it would be better if the mutual respect without having to set it apart
Implementasi kegiatan shalat dhuha siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Gedog di Kota Blitar

Sholat dhuha adalah shalat sunnah yang dikerjakan ketika matahari baru naik. Jumlah rakaatnya minimal 2 maksimal 12. Sebagai realisasinya di MIN Gedog Kota Blitar terdapat kegiatan sholat dhuha sebelum jam pelajaran dimulai, sehingga memiliki karakter yang berbeda dari madrasah yang lain. Berangkatdari latar belakang seperti itulah penulis kemudian ingin membahasnya dalam skripsi dengan mengambil judul “implementasi kegiatan sholat dhuha siswa kelas V MIN Gedog Kota Blitar.”
Yang menjadi persoalaannya adalah apakah lembaga pendidikan telah mengimplementasikan kegiatan sholat dhuha secara maksimal? Dan yang menjadi fokus dalam penelitian adalah:(1) Bagaimana Implementasi kegiatan Sholat Dhuha Siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Gedog di Kota Blitar?; (2) Apa faktor pendukung dan penghambat Implementasi kegiatan Sholat Dhuha Siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Gedogdi Kota Blitar?
Maka dari itu jenis penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif. Dalam perjalanan mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan metode dokumentasi, observasi, interview. Sedangkan untuk analisisnya, peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu mendeskripsikan dan mengintrepetasi data-data yang telah didapat, sehingga akan menggambarkan realitas yang sebenarnya sesuai dengan yang terjadi di lapangan.
Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kegiatan shalat dhuha terimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran bagi siswa MIN Gedog,didalam pelaksanaan sholat dhuha dilaksanakan pada saat pembelajaran belum di mulai yakni pukul 06.30 WIB.Dimana semua guru di MIN Gedog berkumpul untuk mengatur dan mengumpulkan seluruh siswa untuk melaksanakan kegiatan sholat dhuha. Disamping itu kegiatan shalat dhuha yang di bimbing langsung oleh guru pembimbing shalat dhuha dalam pelaksanaannya secara berjamaah di masjid Namun, Implementasi kegiatan ibadah sholat dhuha masih perlu ditingkatkan dan disempurnakan. (2) Faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat Implementasi kegiatan ibadah sholat dhuha siswa kelas V MIN Gedog di Kota Blitar; faktor pendukungnya, yaitu adanya pengadaan buku-buku tentang kegiatan shalat dhuha, adanya guru pembimbing shalat dhuhadan adanya sarana masjid untuk melakukan kegiatan sholat dhuha; faktor penghambatnya, yaitu minimnya pendanaan. Pendanaan yang minim ini dapat mempengaruhi ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran, khususnya pembelajaran kegiatan sholat dhuha,kurangnya kemauan siswa untuk melaksanakan kegiatan sholat dhuha, banyak siswa terlambat karena di musim penghujan, serta kurangnya dukungan dari orang tua.
Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan tambahan pengetahuan dan masukan bagi pengelola lembaga pendidikan yang beorientasi terhadap kegiatan sholat dhuha.

Departing from such a background that the author then want to discuss in this paper by taking the title of "implementation of Duha prayer grade V MIN Gedog Blitar."
The persoalaannya is whether the institution has implemented activities to the fullest Duha prayer? And that became the focus of the study were: (1) how implementation activities Duha prayer Islamic Elementary School fifth grade students Gedog City State Blitar?, (2) What are the factors supporting and inhibiting the implementation of activities Prayer Duha Islamic Elementary School fifth grade students Gedogdi Blitar State?
Thus the types of research that are used by authors is a kind of qualitative research. In the course of collecting data, the researchers used a method of documentation, observation, interview. Being right for the analysis, the researchers used a qualitative descriptive analysis technique, which is described and mengintrepetasi data has been obtained, so that it will represent reality according to what happens on the field.
From the results of this study indicate that: (1)terimplementasikan Duha prayer activities in the learning process for students MIN Gedog, in the implementation of Duha prayer done at the time of the study has not been started at 6:30 pm. Where all the teachers at MIN Gedog gathered to organize and gather all the students to carry out activities Duha prayer. Besides the Duha prayer activities guided directly by the tutor in the implementation Duha prayer in congregation in the mosque, however, implementation of Duha prayer worship activities still need to be improved and perfected. (2) factors that support and hinder the implementation of activities of daily prayers Duha fifth grade students in the City MIN Gedog Blitar supporting factors, namely the provision of books about the activities of Duha prayer, the guidance counselor and the Duha prayer mosque means to conduct Duha prayer; inhibiting factors, the lack of funding. This lack of funding could affect the availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning, especially learning activities Duha prayer, the lack of willingness of students to carry out activities of Duha prayer, many students are late because in the rainy season, and the lack of support from parents.
The results of this research can be used as additional knowledge and input to management- oriented educational institutions for Duha prayer activities
