No full textIn this research paper, the researcher takes an adventure to shed light on Ghazal through an analysis, comprehensively; keeping in view Zahid Kaleem's Ghazal. It is a living, dynamic of Urdu poetry. In Urdu poetry, Ghazal has the highest, most significant and richest capital. The main reason for the success and popularity of Ghazal is that it has been able to keep up with the emotions and feelings of the people of Urdu in every era. Zahid Kaleem's poetry depicts sorrow, grief, migration, fear, travel, sadness, death, despair, grievances, and instability of the world, self-talk, patriotism, modern conditions, oppressive views of the beloved, claims, and local, national and international references. References to Kashmir as well as landscapes, patriotism, remembrance of victory, literary attitudes after the partition of Kashmir, resistance elements, beauty and love, sincerity, truth, religion, loneliness, life, resistance, optimism , satire and humorous elements, modern sensibility, class consciousness, perception of social issues, perception of civic and social attitudes, political consciousness, ideal of world peace, reference to global attitudes and events, local culture, cultural elements and many other symbols and references. A variety of topics and intellectual and artistic trends appear to emerge. Two methods are used to determine the position and status, one is the thematic study of creation and the other is the technical study. Thematic studies look at whether the creator has incorporated new themes into his work, that is, thematic diversity. These are the basic things that are seen and tested in the thematic study
Coverage of Terrorism Issues in Minorities’ Press of Pakistan
Get PDFThe 9/11 incident changed the world’s situation when US declared the war against terrorism; this incident united the western forces to fight against the terrorism at global level. Pakistan being the neighborhood to the centre point of the Terrorists was involved in this war against terrorism by the United States. Earlier the media as a whole protested against the involvement of Pakistan in the war. The Minorities’ Press also criticized and protested Pakistan’s involvement in the war on terror but with the passage of time media started favoring the state policy as the major cities of the country were targeted by the terrorists. The present study is focused on the role of the Minorities’ Press in Pakistan in covering the terrorism issue from September 2001 to December 2006. The Minorities’ Press includes the newspapers and magazines of Christians, Ahmedi’s (Qadianis), Hindu religion, Parsi religion and Bhai’s religion. The theoretical framework refers to the Agenda Setting Theory as the study intends to gauge the ‘Media Agenda’ of the minorities in Pakistan. The content analysis method was used to analyze the contents of the editorials and articles of the selected Minorities’ Press. The findings showed that overall the Minorities’ Press supported the government’s policy on war against terrorism and the Christian press was seen more active in this regard as compared to the rest of the newspapers and magazines of the minorities. The research would lead to analyze internet use and its effects on youth, either negative or positive. It would also help youngsters to make them aware of its advantages and disadvantages. The researcher has used survey method .Questionnaire (see annexure) was made to collect data and analyze the results, with the help of these analyses researcher also recommended possible solutions. Pashtun<i>Jirgas</i>, Their Potential in Pak-Afghan Reconciliation and National Reconstruction
No full textRelations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have mostly been hostile since 1947. The animosity has grown in complexity from various territorial disputes to frequent allegations of cross-border terrorism in the post-9/11 era. This article first makes a case for involving Jirgas, a traditional dispute resolution mechanism among Pashtuns, for improving peace dialogues between both countries. It presents evidence of the traditional acceptability of Jirgas by Pashtuns on both sides of the border and assesses previous official bilateral attempts of using Jirgas. It then proceeds to propose some new policy recommendations focused on national reconstruction of Afghanistan, which include involvement of the Taliban as an important local stakeholder. The dual key argument then becomes, first, that since Jirgas have long-standing local legitimacy and acceptability both in Afghanistan and Pakistan, using the strength of their social recognition would allow higher-level bilateral negotiations between the neighbours, enhancing the effectiveness of new and locally more credible forms of multi-track diplomacy. Second, reinvigorating the Jirga system would allow the Afghan people themselves to engage in fuller multi-dimensional debates on sustainable modalities for their own future, on terms to be set by them, not outsiders.</jats:p
Digital Social Responsibility towards Corporate Social Responsibility and Strategic Performance of Hi-Tech SMEs: Customer Engagement as a Mediator
No full textDigitalization has opened up new methods to promote socialization in all types of organizations, generally, and businesses specifically. Stakeholders now prefer those businesses which are inclined towards social norms and virtues. In the era of digitalization, digital social responsibility (DSR) has become the strategic decision for all kinds of business organizations. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to highlight the achievement of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and strategic performance (SP) through customer engagement with digital social responsibility (DSR). Customer engagement with DSR is also tested as a mediator between DSR and CSR performance, and DSR and SP. Data were collected from the owners/managers of hi-tech Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). For the purpose of data analysis, various statistical procedures were applied. Results proved that DSR plays an essential role in explaining customer engagement with DSR, SP and CSR performance. Customer engagement with DSR directly affects SP and CSR performance, and also acts as a mediator. This study contributes to both theory and practical management by investigating how DSR helps to achieve SP and CSR performance. This is a unique study of the mechanism to achieve SP and CSR performance through DSR and customer engagement with DSR
