This study focuses on the challenges of digital money providers in Myanmar and mainly emphasis on M-Pitesan, Wave Money and OK Dollar. Objectives for this research are to identify the service procedures of digital money providers and to analyze the challenges of the digital money providers. This research objectives were chosen to obtain the data which are specific. The respondents during the data collection were the companies’ staffs of M-Pitesan, Wave Money and OK Dollar in Yangon district and agents of those companies. This research found out that there are significant challenges affecting market penetration and expansion of mobile money. The users do not know the benefits of digital money exactly and they do not have enough knowledge on the way to use it. Sometime, the users cannot keep as a confidential of the PIN or password of their transaction and they even share it with others due to lack of awareness. As per the research findings users’ requirement in anytime is the challenge for providers to fulfill and make settle in time for them. The call center of the providers take much time and ask so many questions to users and need to wait at least 24 hours to be settled but sometime it takes more than 3 days. Moreover, the network connectivity is unavailable or unstable in some places and sometime it has down during the transaction and users have to worry for losing their money at that time so the trust of them is losing for providers. In addition, this study found out that the agents are not everywhere and unavailable 24/7 services then some agents are not aware of their services certainly and are not well trained by the companies side so the users get the stuck when they go and get the services from such kind of agents. Ensuring widespread availability of agents in both rural and urban areas, stability of network, regular supply of electricity, training and information to users and agents are necessary measures to increase usage, penetration and expansion of mobile phone money services

    No full text
The objectives of the study are to analyze the determinants on saving behavior of MBF students and to examine the mediation effect of financial attitude on the relationship between financial literacy and saving behavior of them. Both primary and secondary data are applied to meet the objectives. The primary data has got from survey by using simple random sample method. Sample size represents 79% of the total MBF students who are currently study in YUE from 2018 to 2022. Secondary data are collected thesis from library, journals, research papers from internet and related information resources. The descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis methods are used. There are six independent variables namely family factor, peer factor, self-dominance, saving motive, trust in banks and financial literacy are determinants on saving behavior. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis which found that saving motive, trust in banks and financial literacy, family factor and peer factor have positively significant on saving behavior. In addition, among the six independent variables, saving motive is the greatest contribution to increase saving behavior of MBF students in YUE. Furthermore, the study reveals that financial attitude has no mediation effect on the relationship between financial literacy and saving behavior. Nowadays, the banking industries are facing a rapidly changing market, new technologies, economic uncertainties, increasing competition. As a consequence, policy makers should develop several strategies to influence whether and how individual sound saving decisions

This study aims to investigate the relationship between brand experience, customer satisfaction and brand loyalty in electronic products. There are two objectives in this study: to identify the impact of brand experience on customer satisfaction; and to analyze the effect of brand experience and customer satisfaction on brand loyalty. The quantitative research approach was applied in this study. The required data was collected from 105 academic and administrative staff who are working in Yangon University of Economics as the case study. Data analysis for this study was conducted using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software. The analysis used descriptive statistics (mean, percentage and frequency) as well as inferential statistics (correlation and regression analysis) to facilitate the meaningful analysis. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between brand experience, customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. As the results, customer satisfaction has a stronger influence than brand experience in building brand loyalty. Therefore, this study suggests that as the companies, they have to build strong brand experience to be able to guarantee customer satisfaction and ,";," I followed by brand loyalty to their products

This study aims to analyze the role of teacher motivation for participation and to examine the factors that motivate teachers to participate in training activities at private high schools in South Dagon Township, Yangon. The research focuses on variables such as job security, training and learning opportunities, freedom in teaching, compensation and benefits, and work environment. Using the descriptive method with primary data was collected by 59 respondents through interviews and questionnaires from four private high schools, and Secondary data were sources from journals, reports, school records, research papers, and relevant online sources. The statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS. The findings indicate that motivated teachers are more likely to engage in training and professional development, which enhances teaching effectiveness. The study also highlights the critical role of school management in supporting teacher motivation. Based on the results, it is suggested that school administrators offer competitive compensation, promote professional development, create a supportive and autonomous work environment, and adopt participative leadership to improve teacher engagement in training programs at private high schools

Influence of Data Length on the Determination of Data Adjustment Parameters in Conceptual Hydrological Modeling: A Case Study Using the Xinanjiang Model

    No full text
Minimum data length is vital to guarantee accuracy in hydrological analysis. In practice, it is sometimes determined by the experiences of hydrologists, leading the selection of the acceptable minimum data length to an arguable issue among hydrologists. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of data length on parameter estimation and hydrological model performance, especially for data-scarce regions. Using four primary datasets from river basins in Japan and USA, subsets were generated from a 28-year dataset and used to estimate data adjustment parameters based on the aridity index approach to improve the parameter estimation. The influence of their length on hydrological analysis is evaluated using the Xinanjiang (XAJ) model; also, the effectiveness of outlier removal on the parameter estimation is checked using regression analysis. Here, we present the estimation of the most acceptable minimum data length in parameter estimation for assessing the XAJ model and the effectiveness of parameter adjustment by removing the outliers in observed datasets. The results show that between 10-year to 13-year datasets are generally sufficient for the robust estimate of the most acceptable minimum data length in the XAJ model. Moreover, removing outliers can improve parameter estimation in all study basins

This paper investigates based on Raspberry PI based home appliances control system using microcontroller system. The paper proposes to control home appliances remotely using smart phone. In this paper, Raspberry Pi is used as a sever for connecting to Arduino microcontroller by sending string signal character from user. When Raspberry Pi received string data that sending via web control page and then transmit that string data to Arduino passes through logic level converter. Logic level converter is used as converting high voltage level of Arduino and low voltage level of Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi has already included Wifi hotspot router and the android mobile phone is used as a router in this paper. This home appliances control system uses in reality and very low cost in automation system field.
