Pengelolaan Ekosistem Mangrove Berbasis Masyarakat Secara Berkelanjutan: Studi Kasus Desa Blanakan, Subang, Jawa Barat
Mangrove merupakan ekosistem pantai yang terletak di antara laut lepas dan daratan. Ekosistem ini terdiri atas berbagai tanaman bakau yang hidup pada habitat lumpur. Hutan mangrove memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat pantai. Indonesia dengan jumlah kepulauan berkisar 17.000 pulau, menurut Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) memiliki panjang garis pantai mencapai 99.093 km2. Dari panjang garis pantai tersebut, bentangan hutan mangrove di sepanjang pesisir mencapai 95.000 km2. Jumlah tersebut telah mendudukkan Indonesia pada urutan pertama negara yang memiliki hutan mangrove terbesar dari luas mangrove dunia, yaitu 22,6% atau 3,113 juta ha (Giri et al. dalam Basyuni, Bimantara, Siagian, & Leidonald, 2017; Rudra et al., 2014). Conducting biological science practicum at UT involves a series of activities, ranging from registration, implementation, practicum learning support, and evaluation of student learning. Some important factors to consider in conducting science practicum at a distance include location, student conditions, and availability of the needed resources. UT science practicum involves the use of resources of partner universities, so the practicum is conducted during the semester break of the partner institution. In order to be financially viable, practicum is conducted when there are a minimum of 8 participating students, otherwise students will have to meet the minimum quota of the practicum cost
Traditional Mangrove Management in Langensari Village, Subang, West Java: A Study on the Practice of Integrating Mangroves into Polyculture Ponds
This study aimed to explore the integration of mangroves into a polyculture system involving various fish species, including milkfish (Chanos chanos), tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus), and tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) in Langensari, Subang, West Java and assess water quality and analyze heavy metal content in mangrove root sediments. Observations were conducted at two observation stations, namely: Station1, in a residential pond (ST-1) and Station-2 in the estuary area (ST-2). Water quality and heavy metal content taken from root sediments were measured using AA-7000, Shimadzu® atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS). At Station-1 (ST-1), three dominant mangrove species were found, namely R. stylosa, A. marina, and B. gymnorhiza. While in ST-2, A. marina and S. caseolaris were found. Water quality parameters, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), pH, and heavy metals Cu, Cd, and Pb were conducted to assess the effectiveness of the roots’ ability to precipitate pollutants. Water quality test results showed that A. marina roots were more effective at precipitating heavy metals than R. stylosa roots in both locations. A. marina showed higher levels of Cu, Cd, and Pb than R. stylosa
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. PEMETAAN JASA EKOSISTEM MANGROVE DI KAWASAN HUTAN LINDUNG PULAU RIMAU, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Ekosistem mangrove memberikan fungsi-fungsi penting bagi manusia dan lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis dan memetakan jasa ekosistem mangrove bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Lokasi penelitian adalah ekosistem mangrove di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Pulau Rimau, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Data primer berupa data ekologi dan sosial. Data ekologi meliputi keragaman abiotik, keanekaragaman jenis mangrove, struktur vegetasi pohon mangrove, keragaman fauna, pH substrat mangrove, dan pH air; sedangkan data sosial adalah persepsi masyarakat tentang ekosistem mangrove. Data sekunder mencakup berbagai informasi penunjang yang diperlukan, yaitu penggunaan lahan, pemetaan lahan mangrove, dan data-data lain terkait jasa ekosistem. Untuk pengambilan data sosial, populasi penelitian adalah warga Kecamatan Pulau Rimau dan Tanjung Lago yang memanfaatkan jasa ekosistem mangrove, sedangkan sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 orang, ditentukan secara random sampling. Data primer yang diperoleh dari survei lapangan disajikan dalam bentuk tabulasi, grafik, dan uraian. Analisis jasa ekosistem menggunakan Matriks Permintaaan-Penawaran jasa ekosistem bagi masyarakat, dengan menilai kapasitas ekosistem, permintaan jasa ekosistem, dan keseimbangan jasa ekosistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas ekosistem mempunyai relevansi sedang sampai tinggi, dan mempunyai nilai jasa yang berlebih dibandingkan dengan permintaan, artinya ekosistem dalam kondisi baik
