Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDFThis research explores vocational curriculum management for student entrepreneurship at SMKS Ulumuddin, Lhokseumawe, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The study delves into curriculum planning, organization, and implementation for student entrepreneurship. Findings reveal the formulation of the school's vision, mission, objectives, tailored implementation plans, and the establishment of a curriculum development team and competence assessment team. The vocational curriculum focuses on meeting students' skill development needs, utilizing practical activities, teaching factory methods, and scheduled work experiences. Evaluation occurs at micro and macro-levels, assessing students' competence with input from stakeholders and external assessors. The head of the school is supported by senior teachers in continuous curriculum development evaluation. The study also highlights the formation of students' entrepreneurial character, achieved through integrating productive subjects, creative entrepreneurial products, PSG implementation, and student immersion in designated areas. Additionally, the research identifies obstacles and supporting factors impacting the vocational curriculum's success, including human resources, teaching methods, facilities, and understanding of industry and entrepreneurship. Overall, the study provides valuable insights into vocational curriculum management, offering guidance on how to foster entrepreneurial skills among students effectively
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Pelayanan yang diberikan oleh kantor Desa Sipungguk membuat masyarakat kesulitan untuk mengurus surat menyurat apalagi pada masa pandemi saat ini. Pelayanan yang dilakukan tersebut dengan adanya kelalaian dari aparatur desa seperti aparatur desa tidak cepat tanggap dalam memproses pelayanan terutama surat menyurat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kinerja perangkat desa Sipungguk dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat yang berfokus pada pelayanan administrasi penduduk yaitu pembuatan surat menyurat seperti pengantar KTP, KK, Surat Pindah, Surat Keterangan Tidak Mampu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara langsung dengan perangkat aparatur desa dan masyarakat desa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Kinerja aparatur Desa Sipungguk dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat masih kurang baik terlihat dari berbagai macam masalah dan wawancara yang ditemukan, aparatur desa masih kurang tanggap terhadap keluhan masyarakat sehingga masih belum optimalnya kinerja aparatur desa tersebut. Kualitas kinerja sudah baik namun ketelitian yang dilakukan masih ada kekurangan, tangggung jawab yang cukup baik, berinisiatif melakukan pekerjaan namun tidak seluruhnya melaksanakan dengan tupoksi masing-masing, dan sarana prasarana yang kurang. Faktor yang menghambat yang timbul dalam kinerja perangkat desa yaitu masih kurangnya pegawai, sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai, dan rendahnya tingkat komunikasi antar perangkat desa.

Abstrak
Media pembelajaran yang tidak menetap membutuhkan motivasi ataupun keinginan yang kuat bagi siswa untuk belajar. Keinginan atau intensi dalam perilaku belajar akan terbentuk apabila siswa memiliki sikap yang positif, norma subjektif yang kuat, dan juga perceived behavioral control yang kuat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara sikap, norma subjektif, dan perceived behavioral control dengan intensi perilaku belajar pada siswa SMAN 2 Rengat Barat. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 172 siswa SMAN 2 Rengat Barat. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menghimpun sampel yaitu nonprobability sampling dengan jenis accidental sampling. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala intensi perilaku belajar, sikap, norma subjektif, dan perceived behavioral control yang peneliti susun sendiri. Berdasarkan analisis yang sudah dilakukan didapati hasil bahwa sikap, norma subjektif, dan perceived behavioral control memiliki hubungan dengan intensi perilaku belajar.
