Abstract:
Geographers believe that the earth landscape is formed by interaction between human being and the Earth. The river preservation movement in Wucheng Community reflects the development of relationship between human and the Earth facing rapid changes between people living in the mountain and the humanistic environment. This paper attempts to use multimethod and explanation of community development to study the operation system and impacts of community environmental preservation. Lastly, SWOT analysis will be used to analyze the Wucheng Community’s environmental protection actions in promoting community developments: internal strengths and weaknesses, and external opportunities and threats. The paper will offer strategic suggestions.
The external environment affects resource management of river preservation movement of Wucheng Community on one hand. For instance: reconstruction policy of 921 disaster areas, tourism development trend in Nantou County. On the other hand, it is also affected by the awareness of the villagers. For instance: a need to transform the agricultural industry in the community as it faces a bottleneck, deterioration of local river conditions. During the process, the originator makes use of the closely-knitted community network and the need to carry out community preservation to assemble local residents in forming the Nantou County Lotus Lake River Preservation Association. The goal of the association is to seize opportunities for more external support and influence the concept of environmental protection through beautifying the environment and interaction with local residents.
The internal strengths of Wucheng Community in terms of river preservation include: still coordination between organizations in the community, clear goal of the association, enthusiastic leaders in promoting the movement, close societal relationship, rich natural and humanistic resources, gradual development which reduces the risk of damage. Internal weaknesses include: lack of surveys on humanistic and ecological resources, correct environmental protection concepts have yet to be implemented, residents did not reach a consensus on the execution of ecological preservation efforts, the community still depends on subsidies from the government, weak participation of community residents, incomplete recreation facilities and specialized industries, applications of slopes. External opportunities include: encourage the public to participate in policies and trends, ecological or community information are easily obtained, cooperation from socioeconomic environment in Taiwan, ideal geographical location connected with popular tourist spots such as Checheng and Sun Moon Lake. External threats include: disturbance from inappropriate government public construction projects, threats from natural disasters, competition from ecotourism community.
To allow the continuous development of resource management in Wucheng community, this research offers a few suggestions: enhance the community environment and public education, utilize the economic conditions and cultural elements appropriately, nurture administrative talents and successors, and strike a balance between community development and environmental preservation.

No full text碩士教育研究所[[abstract]]本研究目的旨在瞭解苗栗縣兼任行政職務國中教師工作滿意度與工作壓力之現況，並瞭解不同個人背景因素在工作滿意度與工作壓力的差異情形，再進而探討工作滿意度與工作壓力之間的相關情形。研究以文獻分析探討兼任行政職務教師的工作內涵、工作滿意度與工作壓力之相關理論與研究；並以自編之「國中兼任行政職務教師工作滿意度與工作壓力調查問卷」針對206位苗栗縣兼任行政職務國中教師進行調查；並採描述性統計分析、因素分析、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、Pearson積差相關等統計方法進行資料分析。
研究結果顯示苗栗縣兼任行政職務國中教師感受到中等程度的工作滿意度與工作壓力。工作滿意度各分層面以「人際關係」的滿意程度最高，「薪資福利」的滿意程度最低；工作壓力各分層面以「行政工作負荷」的壓力感受程度最大，「人際溝通」的工作壓力感受程度最小。再者，不同背景變項的苗栗縣兼任行政職務國中教師之工作滿意度與工作壓力部分達顯著差異。此外，苗栗縣兼任行政職務國中教師工作滿意度與工作壓力在整體上呈現中度負相關；在各層面上亦呈現低至中度負相關。根據研究結果提出建議，以供教育主管單位、校長、兼任行政職務教師、未來研究者作為參考。在研究對象、研究方法、研究架構等方面提出未來研究之參考。[[abstract]]Title: A Study on the Job Satisfaction and Work Stress of Junior High School Teachers Participating in Administrative Duties in Miaoli Country

Abstract
The purposes of the present study were to investigate the relationship between the job satisfaction and the work stress of junior high school teachers participating in administrative affairs in Miaoli County. The circumstance of teachers’ job satisfaction and work stress has been explored and whether teachers with various backgrounds have different feeling in the job satisfaction and work stress have been examined. In addition, the present study investigates the correlation between the job satisfaction and work stress. Subjects were 206 teachers participating in administrative affairs in Miaoli County. Utilizing various statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation to analyze data. The results indicated that the job satisfaction and work stress of junior high school teachers participating in administrative affairs in Miaoli County was intermediary. Among the facets of job satisfaction, the degree of “interpersonal relation” was the highest and “salary and benefit” was the lowest. Among the facets of work stress, the degree of “administrative job burden” was the highest and the “interpersonal communication” was the lowest. Moreover, teachers with various backgrounds have partially different feeling in the job satisfaction and work stress. Additionally, there was significantly negative relationship between job satisfaction and work stress with moderate magnitude. Among facets, there were significantly negative relationships with moderate to low magnitude. The suggestions of the findings are made for the educational administrative bureaus, school principals, teachers participating in administrative affairs, and further researchers
Creating the Role of Crissy in Hair

It is a detailed account of author Yu Miao’s artistic process in creating the role of Crissy in the Minnesota State University, Mankato’s production of Hair in the Fall of 2020. The thesis follows the actor’s process beginning with the early production analysis in chapter one. The actor then researched its historical background followed by a detailed journal of the rehearsal process in chapters two and three. Chapter four is the post-production analysis, and the fifth chapter gives an overall review of Miao’s growth and process through her time at Minnesota State Mankato. Appendices and works cited are also included following chapter five at the end of the thesis
Rendering Reality in the novel The Seventh Day by Yu Hua
No full textThis bachelor thesis focuses on the novel The Seventh Day (2013) written by contemporary Chinese author Yu Hua (* 1960). The novel imaginatively reflects the situation in contemporary Chinese society and draws attention to many problems of today's China. In the novel Yu Hua uses an innovative way of narration: the narrator and the main protagonist of the story is Yang Fei, who after his death travels around the Land of the Unburied for seven days. Although the author uses some experimental techniques to depict reality, the novel also shows several similarities with traditional Chinese novels of the late Qing dynasty. The novel is thoroughly analysed and introduced in literary historical context. Focus of the analysis is on rendering reality of this novel and on other meaning-making elements, which decisively determine the nature of the literary image of contemporary China, such as the religious motifs of the work, the use of supernatural elements or the motifs of grotesque and farce

This thesis also evaluates how much the English experience is really a global experience. Post-1970s China serves as a contrasting example in the fourth chapter, which briefly discusses how China may learn from the global experience and improve the Chinese industrialization process in its final period. Abstract
This is a research on the relationship between extra-curricular reading and the Basic Competency Test of Junior High School Students in Tao Yuan County. Questionnaire survey was conducted and cluster sampling was applied to target group. 1100 out of 1290 are valid questionnaires. Statistic analysis software package SPSS Windows 12.0 was adopted and data analyses, such as frequency, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Chi-square and Pearson correlation analysis, were done.
Besides analyzing extra-curricular reading situation of junior high school students in Tao Yuan County, the differentiation among extra-curricular reading motivation, extra-curricular reading attitudes, extra-curricular reading habits, extra-curricular reading interest, home literacy environment, school reading environment and community reading environment of junior high school students with different backgrounds are also analyzed. The relationship and differentiation among different backgrounds, extra-curricular reading circumstance and the Basic Competency Test of Junior High School Students were also analyzed.
The main findings of the study are as follows:
1. Gender, parent’s education level and school location reveal significant difference and influence on the Basic Competency Test achievement.
2. There is no significant correlation between reading motivation and achievement of the Basic Competency Test.
3. There is a significant correlation between reading attitude and the achievement of the Basic Competency Test, including content areas such as Chinese, English and overall performance.
4. There is a significant correlation between home literacy environment and the achievement of the Basic Competency Test, including Chinese, English and overall performance.
5. There is a negative significant correlation between school reading environment and achievement of the Basic Competency Test, including mathematics, science, social study and overall performance.
6. There is a significant correlation between community reading environment and social study achievement of the Basic Competency Test.
Suggestions were made for further research and for schools, teachers, parents, students, education-policy makers and school libraries to improve the reading programs and environments.

2. Creating and improving reading environments.
3. Making the school library attractive to students.
4. Achieving extra-curricular reading policy goals

我國啟聰學校職業選修課程之改進研究

我國啟聰學校目前已設置的職業選修課程及未來可能增設之職業選修課程的看法，
期以尋求職業選修課程改進之途，協助我國啟聰學校教育的發展。
本研究採用問卷調查法，共選用樣本人數三 ）人，收回二五二份問卷，獲致之結
論如下：
一、啟聰學校目前的職業選修課程中現代工業部分所佔比例偏低，有關就業市場的
資訊提供尚感不足，職業選修課程教學時間不夠充分。
二、對於啟聰學校國中部現有職業選修選修課程，認為適當之比率高低依序為：縫
紉、應用美術、木工、家事、藤工、製鞋、理髮、烘焙、塑膠與製圖；高中部課程
其順序為木石雕刻、應用美術、印刷、縫紉、家事、打字、製圖、攝影、烘焙、塑
膠、製鞋與理髮。
三、有督目前社會某些行業工作，三組人士填答情形頗見歧異，其贊同率高低序為
：美工、家具製作、手工編織、塗裝、木模、泥水工、齒模製作、建築木工、板金
、鉗工、鑄造、焊接、車床、水（電）配管。
