Bai Shouyi'Research on Zhu Zi Yu Lei During the Republic of China Period——Comparing with Hu Shi'the History of Zhu Zi Yu Lei
As a historian,Bai Shouyi had already studied on Zhuzi's theory and deeply discussed on Zhu Zi Yu Lei since 1930.His study on the formation process of Zhu Zi Yu Lei and innovation on it was as well as Hu Shi'the history of Zhu Zi Yu Lei which had a tremendous influence later. He put forward many original ideas about the analysis of the shortage of Zhu Zi Yu Lei and the adaption of it.These opinions have many academic values which can provide many inspirations to today'research on Zhu Zi Yu Lei.教育部哲学社会科学重大课题攻关项目“百年朱子学研究精华集成”(12JZD007
The structure and regularity of admissible BV solutions to hyperbolic conservation laws in one space dimension
This thesis is devoted to the study of the qualitative properties of admissible BV solutions to the strictly hyperbolic conservation laws in one space dimension by using wave-front tracking approximation. This thesis consists of two parts:
• SBV-like regularity of vanishing viscosity BV solutions to strict hyperbolic systems of conservation laws.
• Global structure of admissible BV solutions to strict hyperbolic conservation laws
Structure of entropy solutions to general scalar conservation laws in one space dimension
In this paper, we show that the entropy solution of a scalar conservation law is
\begin{itemize}
\item continuous outside a -rectifiable set ,
\item up to a negligible set, for each point there exists two regions where is left/right continuous in .
\end{itemize}
We provide examples showing that these estimates are nearly optimal.
In order to achieve these regularity results, we extend the wave representation of the wavefront approximate solutions to entropy solution. This representation can the interpreted as some sort of Lagrangian representation of the solution to the nonlinear scalar PDE, and implies a fine structure on the level sets of the entropy solution
Global Structure of Admissible BV Solutions to Piecewise Genuinely Nonlinear, Strictly Hyperbolic Conservation Laws in One Space Dimension
The paper describes the qualitative structure of an admissible BV solution to a strictly hyperbolic system of conservation laws whose characteristic families are piecewise genuinely nonlinear. More precisely, we prove that there are a countable set of points Θ and a countable family of Lipschitz curves T{script} such that outside T{script} ∪ Θ the solution is continuous, and for all points in T{script}{set minus}Θ the solution has left and right limit. This extends the corresponding structural result in [7] for genuinely nonlinear systems. An application of this result is the stability of the wave structure of solution w.r.t. -convergence. The proof is based on the introduction of subdiscontinuities of a shock, whose behavior is qualitatively analogous to the discontinuities of the solution to genuinely nonlinear systems
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
An analysis of primary school children’s drawings based on Wilsons’ Seven Principles / Yu Lei Tao
Issues about low perception and limited information on children’s drawings in
Malaysia has led to the need of analysis of children’s drawings. This study studied and
analyzed drawings of a group of Malaysian primary school children of six age groups
based on Wilson and Wilson (2009) seven graphic principles. A quantitative research
design was adopted. A total of 335 children’s drawings were analyzed to identify the
most common used Wilsons’ graphic principle and determine the use of the principles
according to their age groups by using descriptive statistic method. In order to
determine the relationships between children’s used of Wilsons’ graphic principles and
their stage of pictorial development, inferential testing by using Chi-Square was
conducted. The findings of this study show that; conservation/multiple application
principle was the most common Wilsons’ graphic principle that children used in their
drawing, and there were similarities and differences in the use of principles for each
children’s age groups. In addition, the Chi-Square test indicated significant association
between children’s used of every principles and their stage of pictorial development
with all p values ≤ .05. Thus, it can be concluded that children’s artistic development
can be established using the Wilson and Wilson seven graphic principles. A continued
need exists for further research to be conducted to make comparisons between gender
and between cultures
