Green Office is an environmental management system for offices. With its help, workplaces are able to reduce their burden on the environment, achieve savings and slow down climate change. Nowadays, companies have another reason to go green. New research has found that companies that adopt eco-friendly green practices have employees that are more productive than those that do not. The objective of this research was to identify the awareness on green office practices among employees in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Agency Yong Peng. This research also conducted to examine the relationship between green office practices and employee's job satisfaction among employees in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Agency Yong Peng. A questionnaire was used as the main instrument and the data was analysed using SPSS version 21.0. The questionnaire was distributed personally to the respondents in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Agency Yong Peng. Besides that, the respondents were assisted by the researcher and research assistant in choosing the degree of agreement on each of the statement. It was found that the employees in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Agency Yong Peng has a high level of awareness of green office practices towards 3R practices and energy use in their organization. From the findings, it shows that majority respondent has awareness towards 3R practices (recycle, reuse, reduce) in the organization is average with (M=3.96, SD=0.694). While the level awareness of green office practices towards energy use is (M=4.248, STD=0.524). In addition, from the result it indicated there is a strong relationship between the awareness of green office practices and employee' s job satisfaction in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Agency Yong Peng. The Pearson Correlation (r) for mean level of awareness towards 3R practices and employee job satisfaction is (r= .624** , n=76, p<.05, s=.001). Then, for mean level of awareness towards energy use and employees job satisfaction is(r= . 750* *, n=76, p<.05, s=.001). So, it indicated that Hypothesis !(There is a relationship between the level of awareness towards 3R practices and employee job satisfaction in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd Agency Yong Peng) and Hypothesis 2 (There is a relationship between the level of awareness toward energy usage and employee job satisfaction in SAJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd Agency Yong Peng.) is accepted in this research

Reverberation time of Masjid Jamek Yong Peng and Masjid Kampung Rimba Terjun, Johor

Reverberation Time study has been conducted at Masjid Jamek Pekan Yong Peng, Batu Pahat, Johor and Masjid Jamek Kampung Rimba Terjun, Pontian, Johor. The main aim of the study was to investigate the effect of concrete ventilated block toward the measured and predicted RT60. This concrete ventilated block is a form of perforated wall. This is rather unique wall as it only applicable in country like Malaysia where the weather is reasonably same throughout the year. The mosques are rather unique as almost 165 m 2 and 75 m 2 of its wall panel is made up from geometric pattern concrete ventilated block. The use of geometric pattern concrete ventilated block is gaining its popularity, as the ventilated block is able to allow sound to pass through to the other side of the panel rather easily. The ability of sound to pass through the ventilated block panel is envisaged that the block is able to act as sound absorber material. At this stage, it is pertinent to understand the contribution of sound absorption coefficient of concrete ventilated block toward the RT60 measured inside these mosques. This is considering RT60 is one of the acoustic quality indicators of an enclosed room such as mosques

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Road Accident Analysis: A Case Study of Federal Route FT024 Yong Peng- Parit Sulong

Traffic accidents are considered as an unplanned and unfortunate event which is a serious concern to the community as well as the authority. An accident-counter measure can reduce the rate of road accidents by initially identifying critical locations. The total of road accidents along FT 024 between 2009 and 2012 is 907 cases. Road accidents during the same period range between 24 % and 26 % each year. These accidents killed 34 people and injuring another 101 people. This research aims to identify factors that may contribute to the cause of accidents and to study the effects of speed, volume and road geometry on road accidents. In this study, the locations labelled as km 1, km 2, km 4, km 8, km 5 and km 14 of Federal Route FT 024 Yong Peng – Parit Sulong were selected as the study-case sections based on Accident Point Weightage of ranking, in which each location has different road characteristics. Speed study was carried out at selected road sections to evaluate the influence of speed upon road accidents; and traffic volume count was conducted at the same selected road sections to determine the existing condition of the route. Besides, road geometry observations and measurements were also conducted at selected sections, they were also studied to evaluate influence of road designs upon road accidents. The extracted data were analyzed by using regression analysis on different variables to evaluate the relationship between accident Weightage point and other dependent variables that were considered to have considerable effects upon road accidents such as mean speed, volume, shoulder width, lane width and access point. P value below 0.05 was considered as statistically significant. After conducting data analysis, this study showed that the number of road accidents increases with the increment of speed and access point. On the other hand, volume has no strong relationship to road accidents which means that it may not have an effect on accidents. Moreover, based on the assumptions made by the researchers and project supervisors, road safety index development is important for the selected road sections along FT 024 to improve the road conditions in terms of safety and also to propose improvements at the selected locations in order to reduce accident rate
