COMBINATION OF DEPOT MEDROXY PROGESTERONE ACETATE AND JAVANESE LONG PEPPER EXTRACT ON BODY WEIGHT, HEMATOLOGY, AND BLOOD BIOCHEMISTRY AS A SAFE CONTRACEPTION MODEL
Get PDFThe development of male hormonal contraception is based on a decrease in sperm concentration without affecting libido and sexual potency. The combination of depot medroxy progesterone acetate (DMPA) + extract of Javanese long pepper (JLP) with dosages of 0.94 mg and 1.88 mg decreases the concentration of spermatozoa. However, it remains unknown whether the combination influences body weight, hematology, and blood biochemistry. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the effect of DMPA + JLP extracts on the body weight, hematology, and blood biochemistry of male rats (Rattusnorvegicus L.) using Sprague-Dawley strains. The research uses a completely randomized design (CRD); one group control and two treatment groups. In the first group, the castrated rats were given oral administration extracts of JLP (CJ) with doses of 0, 0.94, 1.88, 2.82, and 3.76 mg. In the second group, the rats were injected with 1.25 mg DMPA and given an oral administration extract of JLP. Injection was given in week-0 and 12. Administration was conducted every day from week 7-18. Analysis of the normality and homogeneity of data is done before the ANOVA test. Data that is abnormal and not homogeneous are tested with non-parametric statistical Kruskal-Wallis. This study shows that the combination of minimal doses of DMPA and administration variousdoses of extracts of JLP does not affect body weight and hematology (erythrocyte, hemoglobin, hematocrite), and the blood biochemistry of rats, such as the values of SGPT, SGOT, HDL, and triglycerides (p \u3c 0.05), but rather the total cholesterol and LDL (p \u3c 0.05). Furthermore, it is concluded that the combination of the minimal dosage of DMPA and weaned various dosages of JLP extracts affect the total value and LDL cholesterol but do not influence body weight, nor hematology and blood biochemistry. Such combinations can be drawn on for asafe male contraceptive model t by taking into account the value of the total cholesterol and LDL during its use

<p><em><span>In carrying out activities as a social creature, it is necessary and can cause language variations.<span> </span>Language variations that have different forms but have forms that resemble language in general.<span> </span>Language variants do not arise as a result of different speakers, but may exist as a result of the emergence of social interactions carried out in various ways.<span> </span>In this research, we examine language variations in terms of formality in the speech of salesmen and buyers in several points in the East Jakarta area with the problem of 1) How do the variations in language used by PT Karyatama salesmen advance successfully to buyers, and 2) What are the results of utilizing the language variations used?<span> </span>by the salesman of PT Karyatama Maju Berjaya to buyers as teaching material for class<span> </span>The theory used is the theory of Martin Joos and Abdul Chaer and Agustina (2010) which relates to language variations in terms of formality.<span> </span>The method used by the author is a descriptive qualitative method and the approach used is a sociolinguistic approach.<span> </span>Based on the research results, it can be concluded as follows: 1) 97 data were found, of which 15 data were in the form of casual variety, 42 data were in the form of familiar variety, and 40 data were in the form of business variety.<span> </span>Meanwhile, for the frozen variety and formal variety, the author did not find this data, and 2) the form of use was in the form of teaching materials in the form of handouts for negotiation text material for class X SMA.</span></em></p>

In this study, we made the MINARI Film as the main object in the research by considering the storyline and impression messages contained in the film which is dominated by cultural and other values This research is focused on To study intercultural communication in the film "Minari" Semiotics is a science or method of analysis to study signs. Signs are devices used in trying to find a way in this world, among humans and with humans.The author uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis. . In general, Semiotics is the study of signs in human life. Semiotics can be classified into two, namely structural semiotics and pragmatic semiotics (Hoed, 2011: 28). In Peirce's semiotics, icons, indices and symbols are key to his analysis (Fiske, 2012: 80). The author uses this method to represent intercultural communication. Research data through qualitative methods and processed descriptively. Researchers use film as an instrument to find out more valid data. This research was conducted to increase and expand the knowledge of readers about intercultural communication in a film. Based on the results of research that the author did on the film "Minari" using Charles Sanders Preice semiotica analysis. We can see that the film uses various signs to communicate cultural differences and challenges faced by Korean immigrant families. This Minari film uses various signs such as sequences, scenes, dialogues and shots to analyze the meaning in the film. The author concludes that the results of the signs used in the film reveal the tolerance and intermingling of the two cultures due to long-term communication which is intercultural communication.Keywords: Representation, Intercultural, Minari FilmAbstrak
Penelitian ini membahas tentang intercultural communication dalam Film minari yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengumpulkan tanda yang berhubungan dengan Intercultural Communication dalam film “MINARI”. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menjadikan Film MINARI sebagai objek utama dalam penelitian dengan mempertimbangkan jalan cerita dan pesan kesan yang terkandung dalam film tersebut yang di dominasi nilai-nilai budaya dan lainnya Penelitian ini di fokuskan pada Untuk mempelajari intercultural communication dalam film “Minari” Semiotika adalah suatu ilmu atau metode analisis untuk mengkaji tanda. Tanda-tanda adalah perangkat yang dipakai dalam upaya berusaha mencari jalan di dunia ini, di tengah-tengah manusia dan bersama-sama manusia.penulis menggunakan analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Secara umum, Semiotika adalah ilmu yang mempelajari tanda (sign) dalam kehidupan manusia. Semiotika dapat digolongkan menjadi dua yakni semiotik struktural dan semiotik pragmatis (Hoed, 2011:28). Dalam semiotika peirce, ikon, indeks dan symbol adalalah kunci dari analisisnya (Fiske, 2012:80). Penulis menggunakan metode ini untuk merepresentasikan intercultural communication. Penelitian ini di lakukan untuk menambah dan memperluas pengetahuan para membaca tentang intercultural communication dalam sebuah film. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan pada film “ Minari” menggunakan analisis semiotica Charles Sanders Preice. Kita dapat melihat bahwa film ini menggunakan berbagai tanda ( sign ) untuk mengkomunikasikan perbedaan budaya dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh keluarga imigran korea. Film Minari ini menggunakan berbagai tanda seperti sequence, scene, dialog and shot untuk menganalisis makna dalam film. Penulis menyimpulkan hasil daripada tanda-tanda yang digunakan dalam film mengungkap sikap toleransi dan pembauran dua budaya yang disebabkan komunikasi jangka panjang yang merupakan intercultural communication.
