    Ramli Abdul Wahid and His Thought on Islamic Education. This paper discusses the biography of Ramli Abdul Wahid, a North Sumatra scholar who has multidisciplinary thinking. He is a Hadith expert, but discusses various disciplines and one of them is Islamic education. This research is a qualitative research with a character study approach. From the research conducted, the author concludes that Ramli Abdul Wahid's Islamic education thinking is motivated by his educational history and his position as chairman of the fatwa commission at the Indonesian Ulama Council of North Sumatra (MUI SU) and Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah Medan. Therefore, the orientation of Islamic education according to him is that it must be in accordance with Islamic values based on the Qur'an and Hadith

    Factors influencing students' interest in learning Mathematics among Year 4 pupils in SK Matu Baru, Kuching / Salwani Ramli

    Objectives of this research are to identify the factors that influence students’ interest in learning mathematic. Besides, this research also identify whether students ' achievement are influenced by their interest in mathematics. Research respondents are $6 students from 4 different class of year 4 at SK Matu Baru, Petra Jaya, Kuching, Sarawak. Samples are chosen according to Krejcie and Morgan table. This research used questionnaire that contains 28 items. For significant test, author use Descriptive Statistic and Descriptive T-test examination with SPSS software version 21.0.The results shows that interest in mathematic does not have significant relationship meanwhile parents influence have significant relationship in students interest in mathematics. The results also shows that interest in mathematic does not influence students achievement. As conclusion, the results prove that parents role and concerns are important in improving students interest in mathematic. So, knowing the parents role in improving students’ interest are important and need to be stress. Besides, teachers also must play their role at school with creative and innovative teaching and learning plan prepared so that students would not get bored and be more interested in learning mathematic

    Corrosion may be broadly defined as the degradation of a material by its environment. The definition would properly include metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites; however, classical corrosion studies deal with the dissolution of metals. All metallic corrosion processes have their basis, electrochemical reactions. Some corrosion mechanisms are primarily electrochemical, whereas other requires the interaction of electrochemical and mechanical forces. There is practically no material, which is corrosion resistant to any corrosive agent. The only question is how much is chosen material] is stable for particular material-corrosive agent combustion. Most of the practically important corrosion processes (95% or more) occurred in the combination material-ion containing corrosive agent with water and some other dipole solvent. In such circumstances the processes are electrochemical, i.e., they involve the action of charged particles-ions and electrons. The other 5% of corrosion processes occurring in the presence of an aggressive gaseous phase, most often at higher temperatures, and their problems a discussed in this paper. For the theory of corrosion will be describe in the next topic in this report. In this project, author objective is to determine the type of corrosion that occurs in the mechanical workshop located at UiTM Arau. The determination of corrosion is done by using human eye and the condition of the surface of equipment or material. The surface difference is important in determining the type of corrosion. For the prevention of this project it is quit easy because it can applicable in all kinds of corrosion

    The Impact of Game Addiction on Cognition and Emotions in Adolescents

    Purpose Game addiction has emerged as a significant mental health concern among adolescents. This study assessed the severity of gaming addiction among junior and senior high school students and examined its perceived effects on emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and social functioning, with the goal of informing prevention and intervention strategies. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 918 students aged 10 to 23 years. The Young Internet Addiction Test (IAT) was used to measure the severity of gaming addiction. For exploratory analysis, the 20 IAT items were categorized into four domains: emotional disturbances, learning impairments, sleep disturbances, and disruptions in daily activities. The chi-square test was employed to assess associations between addiction severity and demographic variables (gender, age group), as well as differences in the impact on each domain. Results Male students exhibited significantly higher levels of gaming addiction than female students (P<0.001), and students aged 12 to 15 were more likely to experience severe addiction than those aged ≥16 years (P=0.030). Game addiction was associated with negative outcomes, particularly emotional disturbances, sleep problems, and disruptions in daily routines. Male students were significantly more affected. However, age-related differences across domains were not statistically significant. Conclusion Gaming addiction in adolescents is influenced by gender and age and is linked to various emotional, cognitive, and behavioral difficulties. A coordinated response involving parents, schools, and communities is required. Evidence-based strategies—including digital literacy education, emotional resilience training, and accessible mental health support—should be integrated into school-based and community-level interventions to promote healthier digital habits

    Therapeutic potential of hUC-MSC secretome preconditioned with IFN-γ and/or TNF-α: An in vitro study on Alzheimer’s neuronal cell models

    Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that is characterized by toxic Amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs). Treatment options include the use of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell (hUC-MSC)-based therapy. Its secretome contains healing substances such as neprilysin (CD10), which breaks down Aβ42; anti-inflammatory cytokines, which lower inflammation; and growth factors, which promote neuronal regeneration. The aim of this study was to produce hUC-MSC secretomes preconditioned with tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and/or interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) to enhance the secretion of these healing substances. hUC-MSCs were sub-cultured in T-25 flasks at a seeding density of 5×10³ cells/cm² in 10 mL xeno-free medium. hUC-MSCs were preconditioned with TNF-α only, IFN-γ only, and a combination of TNF-α and IFN-γ. This study used 10 ng/mL TNF-α and 20 ng/mL IFN-γ. The secretome was harvested after 48 hours of preconditioning and then filtered through a 0.22 µm filter. In vitro tests were conducted to assess the effects of the secretome on neuronal survival using the neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cell line. These cells were differentiated with retinoic acid (RA) and then exposed to Aβ42 to mimic Alzheimer's disease neurons. Secretome therapy was applied at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 20% to evaluate neuroprotective effects. Four types of secretome were tested: unpreconditioned, TNF-α preconditioned, IFN-γ preconditioned, and a combination of TNF-α and IFN-γ. High levels of CD10 (neprilysin) expression were observed in hUC-MSCs treated with IFN-γ and TNF-α, although they did not release sufficient soluble neprilysin (sNEP). Viability results indicated that secretomes preconditioned with IFN-γ at 10% and 20% concentrations provided the highest increase in cell viability after 72 hours post-therapy. The combination of TNF-α and IFN-γ preconditioned secretome exhibited synergistic effects, particularly at 5% and 10% doses at 24- and 72-hours post-therapy. In conclusion, preconditioned hUC-MSC secretome represents a promising therapeutic approach for Alzheimer's disease, as it enhances neuronal cell viability and promotes neuronal regeneration. However, further studies are required to optimize sNEP release and maximize therapeutic efficacy in in vivo models
