    Redesign Terminal Terpadu Pinang Baris

    No full text
The project chosen by the author is a terminal facility which is located at Pinang Baris Terminal. The Pinang Baris Terminal serves public transport vehicles with a route west to the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) Region. The problems found were unified vehicle circulation, less strategic departure and arrival areas, and a lack of a number of standard facilities not found at the Pinang Baris Bus Terminal, such as the absence of a health post, bus maintenance and washing areas and the absence of barriers between vehicle traffic and passengers. Other facilities required by the regulations are available, although not all of them function properly, many of the facilities are damaged or unused, such as waiting rooms which are rarely used by passengers while waiting for the bus. On this project which is the scope of the design consists of designing the terminal in accordance with the regulations, laws and provisions of the Government, redesigning the Pinang Baris Terminal according to the predetermined land area, and expanding the terminal. In designing this project, the authors apply and follow the laws and regulations regarding terminals in design, so that the Pinang Baris Integrated Terminal can become a terminal that complies with terminal standards. With this application to the project, it is hoped that the author will be able to produce design solutions that can provide comfort for users and make the Pinang Baris Integrated Terminal a standard-compliant terminal108 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

This study was conducted to determine how the condition Pinang Baris Terminal currently associated with the characteristics of parking. This study uses a field survey by direct observation in Terminal Pinang Baris by spreading surveyor at certain points in order to facilitate the recording of data in order to obtain a valid observation. Direct observation is done by manually recording the arrival time data and exit the bus, license plate number, and the name of the bus company. Research analysis using Microsoft Exel. Results of identification and field research has been on the analysis shows a maximum level of parking characteristics in Pinang Baris Terminal and it is known that there are three issues that must be resolved. First, the buildup of bus parking AKDP manifold small and MPU bus that we can see on the pictures and the documentation of the calculation in the Parking Index. Secondly, the vehicle bus parking AKDP which do not in place and this can be seen in the image documentation. Third, when the AKAP bus will maneuver to get into the parking lot AKAP bus, it takes quite a long time and could hinder other transport to pass. In this thesis, the author has provided solutions to three problems are found, because it must be found a solution that does not affect the operational performance in the future Pinang Baris Terminal

Effects of Upper Eyelid Surgery on the Ocular Surface and Corneal Topography

Objectives:To evaluate the effect of upper eyelid surgery on ocular surface and corneal topography.Materials and Methods:Patients who underwent upper eyelid blepharoplasty and/or blepharoptosis repair were evaluated prospectively. Tear film break-up time (TBUT), Schirmer tests, corneal staining pattern, Ocular Surface Disease Index questionnaire, corneal topography, and autorefractor parameters were measured preoperatively and at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months postoperatively.Results:Thirty-two eyes of 20 patients (9 male, 11 female) were included in the study. The mean age was 44.8±18.9 years (range: 8-74). Patients were divided into the following 3 groups according to the type of surgery performed: upper eyelid blepharoplasty (group 1), upper eyelid blepharoplasty and levator advancement ptosis surgery (group 2), and levator advancement ptosis surgery (group 3). There was a significant decrease in Schirmer test results at 6 months in groups 1 and 2 but no change in group 3. TBUT values were decreased at 1 week in group 3 (p=0.028) and returned to baseline at 1 month. Corneal punctate staining was detected at 1 day and 1 week in all groups. On corneal topography, group 3 showed a significant change in K2 values (0.3 diopters) at 1 month (p=0.006). There was no statistically significant change in autorefractor measurements postoperatively compared to preoperative values (p>0.05).Conclusion:Depending on the type of surgical procedure performed, blepharoptosis repair and upper eyelid blepharoplasty can lead to dry eye of varying severity that may persist at postoperative 6 months

Corneal Topography Changes in Cases with Duane Retraction Syndrome in Different Gaze Positions

Objective: To evaluate the corneal topographic changes in patients with Duane retraction syndrome in different gaze positions and to investigate the effect of eyelids on corneal topography. Material and Methods: Thirty-three cases with Duane retraction syndrome and 19 control patients were included in the study. Corneal topographies of the cases with Duane retraction syndrome were first measured during their preferred gaze and then during primary gaze position. Topographies of the cases in control group were measured in their right eye during primary gaze position and when the eye was on adduction. Results: Mean horizontal sim K value of the cases with Duane retraction syndrome with preferred gaze position was 41.4 +/- 2.3 D, while vertical sim K value was 42.7 +/- 1.9 D, and with their primary gaze position, mean horizontal sim K value was 40.5 +/- 1.8 D, and vertical sim K value was 42.7 +/- 1.8 D. Statistically significant horizontal flattening was noted in primary gaze position (p=0.009). No statistically significant difference was found between the measurements of horizontal and vertical sim K values of control patients in different gaze positions. Conclusion: Duane retraction syndrome is a rare congenital ocular motility disorder. Although the pathogenesis is not clear, abnormal innervation of the extraocular muscles is mostly blamed. Most of the patients with Duane retraction syndrome develope a face turn position to achieve binocular vision. In our study, we concluded that eyelid position and the changes in corneal topography might affect the development of face turn position

Regression of conjunctival tumor during dietary treatment of celiac disease

    No full text
A 3-year-old girl presented with a hemorrhagic conjunctival lesion in the right eye. The medical history revealed premature cessation of breast feeding, intolerance to the ingestion of baby foods, anorexia, and abdominal distention. Prior to her referral, endoscopic small intestinal biopsy had been carried out under general anesthesia with a possible diagnosis of Celiac Disease (CD). Her parents did not want their child to undergo general anesthesia for the second time for the excisional biopsy. We decided to follow the patient until all systemic investigations were concluded. In evaluation, the case was diagnosed with CD and the conjunctival tumor showed complete regression during gluten-free dietary treatment. The clinical fleshy appearance of the lesion with spider-like vascular extensions and subconjunctival hemorrhagic spots, possible association with an acquired immune system dysfunction due to CD, and spontaneous regression by a gluten-free diet led us to make a presumed diagnosis of conjunctival Kaposi sarcoma
