Balancing the Scales: Using GANs and Class Balance for Superior Malware Detection
Ensuring the security of a network infrastructure necessitates the
precise detection and categorization of malware. While existing
methodologies have demonstrated higher accuracy, their effective-
ness has predominantly been validated on a limited subset of mal-
ware families or samples. These analyses often focus on malware
families with a higher number of samples, potentially leading to bi-
ased and unrepresentative classification results. To address this gap,
our study aims to enhance the accuracy and robustness of malware
detection and categorization systems by investigating the impact
of dataset size, class balance, and data augmentation techniques
on classifier performance. We demonstrate the efficacy of our ap-
proach on a comparatively larger dataset titled Blue Hexagon Open
Dataset for Malware AnalysiS, comprising of 134k samples. Our
analysis, exploiting 85 malware families with at least 50 samples
each, results in the highest accuracy of 92.28% using Random Forest
as the classifier on the original imbalanced dataset. However, by
employing Generative Adversarial Networks to generate synthetic
samples and achieve balanced class distributions (resulted in bal-
anced datasets), our approach demonstrates the improvement in
the classifier’s accuracy to 99.35%
Hadith Hermeneutic of Ali Mustafa Yaqub
Hermeneutic hadith is disputed by academics; some refuse, others develop the theory (as long as it does not conflict with the source of Islamic teachings when the theory is used in the text of the hadith). The hermeneutics of hadith are from the West used in the Bible. The research method used is the library research with hermeneutical interpretation approach and produce several things, such as: First, in terminology, hadith according to Ali Mustafa Yaqub is a source of Islamic teachings both derived from the words, deeds and the characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad. The characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad are part of the sunnah. Secondly, in understanding the text of the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad is not only taken from the literary meaning, but must look for other meanings so that the text of hadith can be fully understood. Comprehensive understanding of hadith can be done by looking at the background of the emergence of Hadith (asbâb al-Wurûd), local and temporal (zamāni wa makâni), sentence causality ('illat al-kalam) and socio-cultural (taqâlid). Hermeneutic Gadamer states that the application of the hadith understanding can be understood as part of the hermeneutical process of hadith, although Ali Mustafa Yaqub does not explicitly explain the hermeneutic theory used in the understanding of a hadith text
Malware Detection using Anomaly Detection Algorithms
Malware, a diverse category of software specifically engineered to compromise devices, poses a serious threat to the security of computer systems and networks. Traditional malware detection methods, such as signature-based or behavior-based, rely on predefined patterns or manual analysis of mal ware characteristics or behaviors. However, these methods are ineffective against new or unknown malware, as they cannot recognize malware that does not match the existing patterns or profiles. Machine learning (ML) methods, on the other hand, can learn from data to detect malware based on complex patterns, without requiring prior knowledge or human intervention. In this paper, we propose and apply an anomaly detection approach on Programmable Executable files to detect and prevent malware installation. We evaluated our approach on a publicly available dataset, namely, Blue Hexagon Qpen Dataset for Malware AnalysiS (BODMAS) dataset using three classifiers, KNearest Neighbor, Support Vector Machine, and Random Forest to identify anomalies in the PE files. RF outperformed its counterparts and yielded highest accuracy of 99.73% with zero False Positive Rate
The Complete Muhammad Ali
Including material and photographs not included in most of the 100 other books about the champion, Ishmael Reed's The Complete Muhammad Ali is more than just a biography-it is a fascinating portrait of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. An honest, balanced portrayal of Ali, the book includes voices that have been omitted from other books. It charts Ali's evolution from Black Nationalism to a universalism, but does not discount the Nation of Islam and Black Nationalism's important influence on his intellectual development. Filipino American author Emil Guillermo speaks about how "The Thrilla' In Manila" brought the Philippines into the 20th century. Fans of Muhammad Ali, boxing fans, and those interested in modern African American history and the Nation of Islam will be fascinated by this biography by an accomplished American author.Intro -- DEDICATION -- INTRODUCTION -- The Curious History of an Icon -- CHAPTER 1 -- CHAPTER 2 -- CHAPTER 3 -- CHAPTER 4 -- CHAPTER 5 -- CHAPTER 6 -- CHAPTER 7 -- Did the Secret Government Fear a U.S. Muslim/Overseas Muslim Alliance? -- CHAPTER 8 -- CHAPTER 9 -- The Break Between the Prophet and his Disciple -- CHAPTER 10 -- CHAPTER 11 -- CHAPTER 12 -- The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time): Ali or Louis? -- CHAPTER 13 -- The Nation of Islam, the Mob, Showdowns in Canada and Sonny Liston -- CHAPTER 14 -- CHAPTER 15 -- The Taunts: Marketing or Racism? -- CHAPTER 16 -- CHAPTER 17 -- CHAPTER 18 -- CHAPTER 19 -- Boxing and the Brain -- CHAPTER 20 -- Ali's Feet -- CHAPTER 21 -- Mr. Dick -- CHAPTER 22 -- CHAPTER 23 -- The Opening Ceremonies, November 2005 -- CHAPTER 24 -- December 2005, Las Vegas -- CHAPTER 25 -- CHAPTER 26 -- June 16, 2004 -- CHAPTER 27 -- CHAPTER 28 -- CHAPTER 29 -- Aix-en-Provence -- CHAPTER 30 -- Ali as a Black Nationalist -- San Francisco, January 2004 Black Liberation Book Fair -- CHAPTER 31 -- January 31, 2004 -- CHAPTER 32 -- October 2005, Chicago -- CHAPTER 33 -- Why Ali remained with Elijah instead of following Malcolm -- CHAPTER 34 -- CHAPTER 35 -- February 4, 2006, Oakland, California -- CHAPTER 36 -- Like Zeus Descending from Mount Olympus -- CHAPTER 37 -- CHAPTER 38 -- Tuesday, February 28, 2006, New York -- CHAPTER 39 -- Bigger Than Boxing -- CHAPTER 40 -- Tribes Gallery, New York, April 2006 -- CHAPTER 41 -- June 2006, Louisville, Kentucky -- CHAPTER 42 -- CHAPTER 43 -- CHAPTER 45 -- Bad Company -- CHAPTER 46 -- Coxson, A Very Charming Rogue -- CHAPTER 47 -- Ali and the largest embezzlement scheme in Wells Fargo history -- CHAPTER 48 -- CHAPTER 49 -- "Lonnie is a stabilizing force."-Harry Belafonte -- October 29, 2006 -- CHAPTER 50 -- Abdul Rahman -- CHAPTER 51 -- CHAPTER 52 -- CHAPTER 53How Will Ali Be Remembered? F-OSFA: A Fog Level Generalizable Solution for Zero-Day DDOS Attacks Detection
The globalization and digitization of society have caused a surge in network traffic, making reliable online services essential for user trust and system functionality. However, these services face ever-increasing threats, particularly complex and well-developed Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. Zero-day DDoS attacks, a type of DDoS attack, are especially challenging because their new and unseen nature and lack of training data render traditional Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) ineffective. To tackle this, we propose the Fog-based One Solution For All (F-OSFA) system - a model with three specialized components. The first component uses a hybrid machine learning and deep learning framework that combines convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and decision trees to detect traditional DDoS attacks. The second component employs a few-shot learning module with a contractive autoencoder for zero-day attack detection. The third component is a signature-based resource usage analyzer to counter attacks mimicking normal traffic. We demonstrate the efficacy of F-OSFA on publicly available datasets and prove the scheme is generalizable and effective. F-OSFA achieves an accuracy of 99.72% on CICDDoS2019 and 99.96% on CICIDS2017. In addition, it demonstrates its efficacy in the zero-day scenario as well by achieving a 96.77% on CICDDoS2019 and 95.98% on CICIDS2017. These evaluations testify to F-OSFA as a reliable and versatile solution against ever-evolving DDoS threats

This research aims to identify the character education values contained in the book Washaya al-Aba' li al-Abna Muhammad Syakir and the role of his opinion on the richness of character education values. It is hoped that this research can be used as a source or reference in efforts to develop education and character as a whole, especially character education according to Islam. It can also be used as a reference to facilitate understanding of character education and as a reference for relevant research in the future. This research method is qualitative and uses a narrative biography method. By using a descriptive presentation approach, this autobiography of the character's thoughts combines the ideas of character education from his work. Library research, or library research, is a research method that involves books, articles, notes and electronic media. with primary sources from the book Washaya al Aba Li al-Abna and secondary sources from study books. In this research, data collection was carried out through the documentation method, which includes searching for data through variables such as notes, books, and articles, among others. The author used a content analysis study to analyze the data; they analyzed the data textually based on the contents of the book. The research results show that the book Washaya al Aba Li al-Abna contains 17 educational character values, divided into two categories: 10 character values fall into the moral category and 7 character values fall into the performance category. Faith and piety, love and obedience to the Messenger of Allah, respect for parents, respect for teachers, truth or honesty, nobility or self-respect, patience, sincerity and a simple life are moral characters. Performance characteristics also include trust, discipline, hard work, never giving up, love of the country, interest in reading or literacy knowledge, and concern for the environment
A comparative study of artificial neural network models for the prediction of Cd removal efficiency of polymer inclusion membranes
In this study, three different artificial neural network (ANN) including feed forward back-propagation (FFBPNN), recurrent neural network (RNN), and generalized regression neural network (GRNN) were proposed to estimate Cd removal efficiency through polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs). A multiple linear regression (MLR) statistical technique was also applied to evaluate PIMs efficiency. The proposed ANN models and MLR results were compared regarding statistical performance criteria such as root-mean-squared error, mean absolute error and coefficient of determination (R-2). In the modeling, time, film thickness, extractant type and amount, plasticizer type and amount and polymer molecular weight were considered as inputs while Cd removal efficiency was output. Furthermore, sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the effect of each input parameter on the output regarding magnitude. According to performance criteria of models, FFBPNN and RNN have the best prediction capability as compared with GRNN and MLR. Sensitivity analysis results demonstrated that extractant amount, plasticizer type and plasticizer amount are more influential operating parameters than time, extractant type, film thickness, and polymer molecular weight. The results of FFBPNN and RNN models are superior and reliable in the prediction of PIMs Cd removal efficiency due to the nonlinearity of data set
