Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
INFRASTRUKTUR DAN KEBIJAKAN FISKAL DI INDONESIA
This article aims at analyzing (!) the condition of Indonesia infrastructure compared to ASEAN countries: Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand which have the same GDP per capita as Indonesia that is lower middle income countries, (2) the financial sources (expenditures and revenues) which are used to develop and to improve quality of infrastructure from GDP and APBN (National Revenues and Expenditures Budget). Data used in the study were derived from a variety of sources: Finance Department of RI, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and others. Toe data were analyzed by using descriptive method. The result revealed that the Indonesia infrastructures are left behind compared to three ASEAN countries (Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand). To improve the quality of Indonesia infrastructures, two ways should be done: a) reducing (or taking off) the subsidiary of fuel oil for private cars, b) increasing tax ratio because it is lower than the tax ration in the three ASEAN countries
Job Performance and Government Banks: Evidence from Indonesia
This study aims to investigate whether Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and Work Engagement (WA) are mediating between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Job Performance (JP).This study methodology uses a survey tool and data is collected in this study from 205 respondents who are government bank employees in Jakarta. Data is analyzed with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results are that OCB is mediating between POS and JP, while WA is not mediating between POS and JP, and POS has a significant correlation to JP. The government banks in Indonesia must pay more attention to improve the indicators of WA. Never conducted research on OCB and WA as mediators of POS and JP on Indonesian government banks

The data collection is done by using questionnaires in September 2016 through the company's Human Resources. Data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) software for data processing while using SMART Partial Least Square (PLS) ver2.0. The results of the study concluded that compensation has positively significant influence on motivation. Motivation does not have a significant influence on the performance and motivation does not mediate the relationship between compensation and performance
Exploring the Link between Supply Chain Agility, Supply Chain Cost, Supply Chain Responsiveness, Global supply Chain Risk Management, and Contribution in Global Manufacturing: An Indonesian Perspective
During last decade, supply chain management has emerged as a key for sustainable completive advantages. Increasing globalization has given birth to new philosophies and businessman has started focusing on the new ways of occupying market share. However, the share of Indonesia in global production has decreased from 31.953% in the start of this year to 20% in 2017. Which shows a gradual decrease of 11% in 16 years. To address this issue, the ultimate objective of this study is to develop a framework to boost global manufacturing through supply chain activities. This objective was achieved by examining the effect of supply chain agility, effective supply chain cost, supply chain responsiveness and risk management practices. Survey questionnaires was used to collect the data and PLS SEM used to analyze the data. It is found that supply chain agility, effective supply chain cost and supply chain responsiveness has significant positive effect on global manufacturing. Moreover, risk management practices as a moderating variable strengthen this effect and enhances the global manufacturing activities
