    The present work about waste circuits of the textile industry generated in General San Martin Party by companies based there and registered in the Provincial Organism for Sustainable Development OPDS aims to fill the gap that exists in the characterization of the behaviors of textile industries on the management of their waste, based on territorial, material and business aspects and knowledge and innovation flows.\nThis thesis, framed in the Oriented Research Project (PIO) "Atlas of industrial solid waste of the General San Martín district" UNSAM, focuses on waste from the textile industry in order to identify possible policies or measures that contribute to link actors, materials and data in a given physical and political context, with the goal of zero textile industrial waste and the generation of products that contribute to improving the quality of life of the population. The general approach is linked to the theories of sustainability in its economic, social, environmental and governance dimensions, with the goal of remediation of current environmental damage.\nFrom the survey of the party's actors, it is concluded that it has, on the one hand, a varied and deeply rooted textile industry in a high degree of disconnection with the installed capacity in the area of research and technology institutions. These institutions are characterized by having, as a whole, both instruments for testing and human resources in charge of developing innovative products based on the incorporation of different types of waste and with the will to work in the territory supporting local social and productive development. It is argued that the challenge for the development of a sustainable connection is to achieve the development of instruments of connection between all the actors where each one visualizes the advantages of the interaction above their fears and preconceptions.\nRegarding the local government presence in the San Martin district, it was observed that the territorial presence is of a very high density and that it has an organization chart oriented towards production and economic and social development.\nAs a result of the analysis of the information collected in interviews, surveys and the route of the territory, flows of waste and money were observed in different directions, resulting in six different management models that include final disposal and recycling in equal amounts in their reinsertion versions productive as zero residue combining formality with informality. The challenge for all stakeholders would be to achieve a model that eliminates all cases of final disposal, taking advantage of the ability to link the textile industry with the construction industry.Fil: Yajnes, Marta Edith. El enfoque general está vinculado con las teorías de la sustentabilidad en sus dimensiones económica, social, ambiental y de gobernanza, con meta en la remediación del daño ambiental actual.\nDel relevamiento de los actores del partido se concluye que este posee por un lado una variada y arraigada industrial textil en alto grado de desconexión con la capacidad instalada en el área de las instituciones de investigación y tecnología. Estas instituciones se caracterizan por tener en su conjunto tanto instrumental para ensayos como recursos humanos a cargo ya de desarrollo de productos innovadores a partir de incorporación de diferentes tipos de residuos y con la voluntad de trabajar en territorio apoyando el desarrollo social y productivo local. Se sostiene que el desafió para el desarrollo de una conexión sustentable es lograr el desarrollo de instrumentos de vinculación entre todos los actores donde cada uno visualice las ventajas de la interacción por encima de sus temores y preconceptos\nEn lo relacionado a la presencia gubernamental local en el partido de San Martin, se observó que la presencia territorial es de una densidad muy alta y que posee un organigrama orientado hacia la producción y el desarrollo económico y social.\nComo resultado del análisis de la información recogida en entrevistas, encuestas y del recorrido del territorio se observaron flujos de residuos y dinero en diferentes direcciones que dan como resultado seis diferentes Modelos de gestión que incluyen en igual cantidad disposición final y reciclado en sus versiones de reinserción productiva como de residuo cero combinando formalidad con informalidad.     The purpose of this research is to contribute to the utilization of construction and demolition waste (CDW), while reducing the use of cement and the environmental impact produced by the traditional manufacturing of blocks, bricks and cladding, making construction materials out of elements usually discarded in landfill such as the paper bags of cement, lime, adhesives and additives plus expanded polystyrene from discarded packaging and recycled wood that will be used for molds. It points to the manufacture of durable, affordable, lightweight and with good thermal insulation construction materials. These materials will be applied to the rehabilitation of a single-family housing in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, through criteria of sustainable design, as part of the case study within the research project named Mixtures with low proportion of cement or other binders applicable to materials and construction techniques using recycled paper and natural fibers in its composition, which is directed by the authors. The building to rehabilitate dates from 1920 with constructive type of bearing walls in common bricks. Its architectural typology is called "Casa Chorizo". Through expansion carried out in 1957 it was added a second floor with independent concrete structure and common bricks enclosing walls. Due to the expansion of a neighboring house, problems of reduction in solar lighting and moisture filtrations took place. The building presents ceilings and walls with humidities plus fissures, and damaged interior and exterior plasters. It is planned the making of ceiling tiles, walls cladding, furnishing and green wall modules made out of papercrete and natural fibers. It is expected that the use of papercrete in ceilings and walls contribute to regulate rooms moisture, improving theirs acoustic and thermal insulation properties. Materials and molds will be manufactured in situ, made to measure, without causing either garbage or surpluses, this will allow to avoid also the expenses in charters, fuel and emissions due to the transportation of finished materials. The rehabilitation site is intended to be a factory and a school simultaneously, qualifying the workers in a technology that is simple, replicable and environmentally friendly at the same time.El propósito de esta investigación es contribuir al aprovechamiento de los Residuos de Construcción y Demolición (RCD), a la reducción del uso de cemento y a la reducción del impacto ambiental producido por la fabricación tradicional de bloques, ladrillos y revestimientos, fabricando materiales constructivos con residuos que generalmente se desechan en vertedero tales como el papel de bolsas de cemento, cal, adhesivos y aditivos, sumando el poliestireno expandido de embalajes y la madera reciclada para moldes. Se apunta a la fabricación de materiales constructivos durables, económicos, livianos y con buena aislación térmica. Se espera que los revestimientos de papel cemento en cielorrasos y muros contribuyan a regular la humedad de los ambientes, mejorando además la acústica y la aislación térmica de los mismos. Los materiales y sus moldes se fabricarán in situ, elaborándolos a medida, sin originar desperdicios ni sobrantes, esto permitirá también evitar el gasto en fletes, combustible y emisiones debidos al transporte de materiales terminados.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Exploring eco-industrial development in the global south: recognizing informal waste-picking as urban-industrial symbiosis?

    Industrial ecology (IE) is discussed as a suitable approach to resolve three widespread socio-ecological problems in the so-called global south: waste accumulation, unemployment, and lack of adequate housing. As the IE framework was developed mainly in the global north, its applicability in the global south is uncertain. The issue is discussed along the use of municipal waste as building materials as a concrete application of circular economy (CE) and IE principles, which could contribute to the alleviation of the aforementioned social-ecological problems. The study focuses on San Martin, a district in the Buenos Aires metropolitan areawhich suffers from these problems dispite its industrial capacities. A SWOT analysis that includes all PESTLE dimensions was applied to identify risks for the success of an IE-based strategy, including the main actors and stakeholders of local waste management. Key issues include the informality and low agency of non-profit organizations, fluctuations in the national economy, inefficiencies in waste collection and recovery, and a lack of awareness and policies on waste separation. One major challenge is the undervaluation of the relevance, expertise and efficiency of waste sorting and processing by informal waste pickers and non-profit organizations. These practices should be recognized as a symbiosis of the urban with the industrial metabolism. This way, the epistemic basis for the eco-industrial development (EID) framework can be layed to make it capable to empower them rather than further displace the people involved. In this way, urban EID could become a useful strategy to channel different scientific disciplines, knowledge and actors, knowledge and actors towards sustainable development.Fil: Tröger, Danny.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
