    Permasalahan ini didapati dari hasil observasi penulis terhadap siswa kelas 4 SD Negeri 123 Pekanbaru bahwa saat pembelajaran matematika, siswa masih kurang aktif saat menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan dan Hasil belajar yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan partisipasi dan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pendekatan Active Learning. Model penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan (Action Research). Adapun pengumpulan data pada penelitian disini menggunakan metode observasi dan tes. Data diolah dengan menggunakan data kualitatif dan statistika sederhana. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dalam pembelajaran matematika perlunya membangun suasana yang menggembirakan dan dapat menarik minat belajar siswa sehingga siswa dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembelajarannya. Proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara berkelompok mampu meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Adapun dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yaitu dengan cara memberikan pertanyaan mengenai materi yang akan disampaikan. Siswa kemudian dapat menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan sesuai dengan pendapatnya masing-masing. Maka dengan demikian siswa akan lebih mudah untuk memahami hubungan antar materi yang akan disampaikan

    Anthropological theory of the didactic: A new research perspective on didactic mathematics in Indonesia

    Théorie Anthropologique du Didactique/Anthropological Theory of the Didactic (ATD) is a new theory on didactic mathematics that was introduced by a French mathematician, Chevellard, in 1991. The ATD is an epistemological model of mathematical knowledge that can be applied to investigate human mathematical activities. Chevallard (1992) identified two aspects of a human mathematical activity that are a practical block and a knowledge block. Both are the main component of praxeologies. The practical block consists of a type of task (T) and a technique (τ). The type of task (T) is a task given to pupils, and they need a technique (τ) to solve it. Meanwhile, the theoretical block consists of a technology (θ) to explain the practical block, and a theory (Θ) is used to justify the technology (θ). The four elements (T, τ, θ, Θ) are connected. In this paper, we try to describe two cases based on ATD especially praxeologies. The first case is a research by Putra (2016) about elementary teachers’ knowledge in designing contextual problems related to the multiplication of fractions. This study focused on the analysis of didactical praxeologies because it gave more attention to the mathematical didactics of teachers’ representations from abstract to contextual problems. The second case is a study done by Wijayanti (2015). She analysed how ratio and proportion present on Indonesian mathematical textbooks. She tried to describe mathematical praxeologies of ratio and proportion of arithmetic and geometry. The implication of both studies is that the ATD especially praxeologies can be a model to analyse both mathematical and didactical knowledge. Therefore, we suggest researchers apply this model as an alternative method to study teachers’ knowledge and analysis mathematical textbooks

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Keterkaitan antara matematika dan budaya dikenal dengan etnomatematika dan merupakan suatu topik yang menarik untuk dikaji. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konten matematika dan budaya, khususnya budaya Melayu, dalam buku bergambar matematika (BBM) berjudul “gelang comel buatan kite”. BBM ini merupakan karya 3 mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar di sebuah institusi pendidikan di Pekanbaru, Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis BBM tersebut yaitu konten analisis, khususnya lagi praxeology yang terdiri dari praxis atau komponen praktis dan logos atau komponen teori. Hasil peneliti ini menunjukkan bahwa soal yang disajikan dalam BBM ini yaitu terkait dengan FPB dengan 2 teknik penyelesaian yaitu secara informal dan formal menggunakan pohon faktor. Sementara itu, unsur budaya tertuang dalam bahasa, pakaian, dan aktivitas membuat gelang. Sementara itu keterkaitan antara matematika dan budaya tertuang melalui aktivitas membuat gelang dengan menggunakan konsep FPB

    This study aims to analyze the efforts of school personnel in realizing child-friendly schools at the 110 Pekanbaru State Elementary School. This type of research is qualitative research. This approach uses an approach that is holding data collection or the reality of the problem based on any research that has been explored or by the respondent. The data collected is in the form of written or spoken words from the people being observed. The results of the research on various plans that have been prepared later in alternative policies in which there are guidelines for developing programs and activities for the protection and education of children in the SRA. Thus, the formulation of the problem regarding the efforts of school personnel in realizing the 110 Pekanbaru public elementary school has been in accordance with the planning stages and has met the standard operating procedures for the Sekolah Ramah Anak program

    Hubungan Motivasi Berprestasi Matematika Dan Kemampuan Spasial Siswa Sekolah Dasar: Indonesia

    This study aims to determine the relationship between achievement motivation and spatial abilities of elementary school (SD) students. This type of research is a quantitative study with a correlation research method. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 004 Rokan with a population of 219 people and a sample of 97 people. This sample was taken from classes IV, V, and VI. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale and test questions. The results showed that the achievement motivation of elementary school students can be categorized as moderate with a percentage of 87.62% or amounting to 85 students out of 97 students. High category with a percentage of 7.21% or amounting to 7 students from 97 students. Low category with a percentage of 5.15% or amounting to 5 students out of 97 students. The level of spatial ability of elementary school students can be categorized as the medium with a percentage of 64.04% or amounting to 66 students out of 97 students. Evidenced by the results of data analysis, the relationship between achievement motivation and students' spatial abilities obtained rHitung equal to 0.22 which indicates that the relationship is in a low category

    PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN MENGGUNAKAN KOMIK MATEMATIKA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 010 TALONTAM BENAI

    Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan komik matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN 010 Talontam Benai. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan model one-group pre and post- test design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, observasi dan tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 siswa kelas IV SDN 010 Talontam Benai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan komik matematika yaitu dari skor pre-test 53,08 menjadi skor posttest 82,69. Berdasarkan hasil uji beda rata-rata diperoleh bahwa thitung(4,679) > ttabel( 2,160), maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan pem-belajaran menngunakan komik matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN 010 Talontam Benai
