The influence of the Napoleonic Code on the systematization of Polish legal terminology
Full text linkThe article examines influence of a XIX century translation of the Napoleonic Code on the systematization of contemporary Polish legal terminology. The French codification of legislation was of paramount importance for legislations all over the world and laid the foundations for a modern state. The authors present influence of French codification over the Polish law terminology which was being formed in the XIX century. Thanks to the translations of the Napoleonic Code, the systematization of terminology in the field of law was introduced, i.e. assigning names to legal notions, precise determination of their semantics, organizing terms in superior-subordinate relations. In the translations consistency in translational was also proposed. In this way the translations of the Napoleonic Code brought the Polish legal language closer to modernity. Artykuł traktuje o wpływie XIX-wiecznych przekładów Kodeksu Napoleona na systematyzację ówczesnej polskiej terminologii prawnej. Francuska kodyfikacja miała przełomowe znaczenie dla prawodawstw całego świata, uznawana jest za podstawę nowoczesnego państwa. Autorki prezentują oddziaływanie tego zbioru praw na tworzącą się w XIX w. polską terminologię prawną. Dzięki przekładom Kodeksu Napoleona rozpoczęto systematyzację nomenklatury prawa, tzn. przyporządkowywanie nazwy do pojęcia prawnego, precyzyjne określanie semantyki terminu, porządkowanie terminów w relacjach nadrzędno-podrzędnych. W przekładach postulowano również konsekwencję w wyborach tłumaczeniowych. W tym sensie translacje Kodeksu Napoleona przybliżyły polski język prawny do stanu obowiązującego we współczesnej legislacji.
Love in Italian-Polish linguistic confrontation on the basis of equivalent proverbs
No full textThe article takes on the subject of linguistic picture of the world concerning the love and equivalent proverbs in Italian and Polish languages. The analysis of lexicographical materials demonstrates identical perception of this feeling, confluences within syntax of equivalents (despite the affiliation to different groups of languages) and, several times, common origin of proverbs in either language. This provenance oscillates around Latin. Terminologia prawa rodzinnego w dwóch przekładach Kodeksu Napoleona z 1 poł. XIX wieku
Full text linkDysertacja wpisuje się w badania diachroniczne, w których podjęto kwestię wpływu francuskiej kodyfikacji na polską terminologię z zakresu prawa rodzinnego. W rozprawie doktorskiej uwzględniono aspekt historycznojęzykowy, zastosowano ujęcie porównawcze (polsko-francuskie), a także odwoływano się do zagadnień nauki prawa, co wynika z interdyscyplinarnego charakteru pracy. Podjęta tematyka wpisuje się w nurt badań juryslingwistycznych. Celem dysertacji jest przedstawienie formowania się polskiej terminologii prawnej na początku XIX wieku z uwzględnieniem wpływu Kodeksu Napoleona. Czas ten jest istotny, biorąc pod uwagę zmiany w zakresie prawa uwarunkowane wprowadzeniem pierwszej nowoczesnej w dziejach polskiego prawodawstwa kodyfikacji. Kształtowanie polskiego języka prawnego dokonywało się przy adaptacji tekstu francuskiego. Bazę materiałową stanowi pierwsza część francuskiego ustawodawstwa. Badaniem objęto przekłady Kodeksu Napoleona autorstwa dwóch tłumaczy. Wersja Franciszka Ksawerego Szaniawskiego Kodex Napoleona. Code Napoléon. Codex Napoleonis pochodzi z 1813 roku i jest wydaniem trójjęzycznym polsko-francusko-łacińskim. Drugi przekład Kodeks Napoleona Księstwu Warszawskiemu (...) za prawo cywilne podany (...) jest autorstwa Franciszka Ksawerego Michała Bohusza i pochodzi z 1810 roku. Dodatkowo wykorzystane zostało wcześniejsze tłumaczenie Franciszka Ksawerego Szaniawskiego z 1808 roku, które zawiera przypisy — Kodex Napoleona z przypisami. Tom I. W analizie wzięto również pod uwagę dziewiętnastowieczne teksty prawnicze, mające na celu wyjaśnienie kwestii ujętych w francuskiej kodyfikacji. Ponadto uwzględniono historycznojęzykowe i współczesne, a także specjalistyczne, opracowania leksykograficzne, oraz teksty wcześniejszego i aktualnie obowiązującego prawa. Dysertacja składa się z sześciu rozdziałów analitycznych. Dotyczą one terminologii związanej z relacjami rodzinnymi, małżeństwem, rozwodem, opieką, przysposobieniem oraz dokumentami

After early studies with Étienne Decroux and working collaborations with Jerzy Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, and Yves Lebreton, Lindh founded the first laboratory theatre in Sweden in 1971, the Institutet för Scenkonst. His practice of collective improvisation is viewed in light of postdramatic concerns such as its resistance to fixed scores, directorial montage, and choreography as an organizing principle

No full textThe article includes words that appear in expressions such as family council, council of family, as well as in the one-word form council, which were noted in 19th-century translations of the Napoleonic Code into Polish. The subject of the description is therefore the closest expressive environment in which the three analyzed expressions appear. The studied formulations indicate the function and rank of the family body, which was the family council. The materials were excerpted from two translations of French legislation by two translators: Franciszek Ksawery Szaniawski and Franciszek Ksawery Michał Bohusz. The analysis emphasizes primarily the communal dimension of the family council’s activities, its decision-making and controlling function within the family. Furthermore, it points to its influence both from a local perspective, smaller community, and a global perspective, larger group, i.e., users of one language.W artykule uwzględniono wyrazy pojawiające się przy wyrażeniach rada familijna, rada familii, a także przy jednowyrazowym ujęciu rada, które odnotowano w XIX-wiecznych przekładach Kodeksu Napoleona na język polski. Przedmiotem opisu jest zatem najbliższe otoczenie wyrazowe, w jakim występują trzy rozpatrywane wyrażenia. Badane sformułowania wskazują na funkcję i rangę rodzinnego gremium, jakim była rada familijna. Materiały zostały wyekscerpowane z dwóch tłumaczeń francuskiego ustawodawstwa autorstwa dwóch tłumaczy: Franciszka Ksawerego Szaniawskiego oraz Franciszka Ksawerego Michała Bohusza. Analiza ukazuje przede wszystkim wspólnotowy wymiar działalności rady familijnej, jej decyzyjną i kontrolującą funkcję w rodzinie. Poza tym wskazano na wpływ rady zarówno w perspektywie lokalnej, mniejszej społeczności, jak i globalnej, większej grupy, tzn. użytkowników jednego języka

Full text linkThe article’s focus is on the creation of the notion of divorce in online legal discourse. The study material comes from an Internet forum discussing legal issues. The analysis shows that divorce is generally presented as a conscious decision of an individual; one that requires preparation and often time and effort as well. Moreover, it is a crucial point in life at which the divorcees solve their current problems. The term is also associated with new opportunities and is often a chance to talk about human experience. The article distincts the most frequently-used words accompanying divorce: child, alimony, money and flat. It is worth noting that the studied material uses only one meaning of the word divorce, introduced by the Napoleonic Code and understood as ‚a dissolution of legally-valid marriage’.The article’s focus is on the creation of the notion of divorce in online legal discourse. Conversion and Artistic Creation of Magdalena V.
No full textThis Bachelor thesis Conversion and Artistic Creation of Magdalena V. deals with the change of artistic expression of the Czech graphic artist Magdalena V., in a close connection to her religious conversion to the Catholic faith. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge of the psychology of religion. It introduces basic definitions and concepts of religion in relation to a religious conversion. In the second part, the author deals with the psychological analysis of Magdalena V.'s typical work through her life, which is supported by numerous photographs. Using the approach of rožnovská school, the author attempts to interpret this artwork on a hypothetical level, focusing on the M.V.'s life and artistic paralel before and after her conversion. The author draws on Magdalena V.'s testimonies about her life which bring light on the intention and context in her art. Related to the author's identification with Magdalena V.'s work, which later became apparent, this paper evolved further into identifying these moments and thus the potential risks inherent in author's own therapeutic work
