Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. The Phenomenon of Internet Addiction Disorder Online Gambling In Probolinggo
Get PDFInformation and communication technology in the 5.0 era is massive and make changes to people's lives. There are many positive impacts from the internet, but there are also negative impacts causing problematic behavior in society such as online gambling. This study uses a phenomenological type of qualitative approach. The sample used in this purposive sampling study was the active students of Probolinggo Regency. Data collection techniques used by researchers in this study were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Testing the validity of the data in this study using source triangulation techniques. Analyzing the data obtained carried out several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification/drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that online gambling has a negative and positive impact on the lives of Probolinggo students who are already familiar with online gambling. The negative impacts felt by Probolinggo students in their lives such as decreased learning achievement, resulting in addiction, and lack of socializing with family. not only has a negative impact, but also has a positive impact on the lives of its users (students) such as getting big profits. This research is recommended to the public, especially educators and students, to be more aware of the phenomenon of addiction disorder which is quite worrying.

Serta memberikan perubahan terhadap kehidupan masyarakat. banyak dampak positif dari internet, tetapi juga terdapat dampak negative yang menimbulkan prilaku bermasalah di masyarakat seperti judi online. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif tipe fenomonologi. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian purposive sampling adalah mahasiswa aktif Kabupaten Probolinggo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Menguji keabsahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Menganalisis data yang diperoleh melakukan beberapa tahapan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi/penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa judi online membawa dampak negative dan positif dalam kehidupan mahasiswa probolinggo yang sudah mengenal judi online. Dampak negative yang dirasakan mahasiswa probolinggo dalam kehidupannya seperti menurunya prestasi belajar, mengakibatkan ketagihan, serta kurangnya bersosialisasi dengan keluarga. tidak hanya mengakibatkan dampak negatif, namun juga mengakibatkan dampak yang positif bagi kehidupan para penggunannya (mahasiswa) seperti mendapatkan keuntungan yang besar. Penelitian ini direkomendasikan kepada khalayak utamanya pendidik dan peserta didik agar lebih mawas terhadap fenomena addiction disorder yang cukup mengkhawatirkan.

Revitalisasi Nilai-Nilai Kearifan Lokal dalam Tradisi Ludruk melalui Pembelajaran IPS Berbasis Literasi Budaya Pada Siswa SMP
Get PDFAbstract: This study aims to analyze the values of local wisdom in the Ludruk tradition and their application in cultural literacy-based social studies learning. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using source triangulation and reduced for categorization. The results indicate that the values of local wisdom in ludruk include (1) the value of mutual cooperation manifested through group cooperation activities when acting out roles, (2) the value of spirituality reflected in moral messages with religious nuances, (3) the value of tolerance through the depiction of characters from various backgrounds, and (4) the value of peace through kidungan containing humorous verses and songs with a peaceful rhythm. Implementation in social studies learning is carried out through three approaches: learning about ludruk, learning with ludruk as a medium, and learning through ludruk to build character. This research contributes to strengthening cultural literacy and character formation in junior high school students.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam tradisi Ludruk serta penerapannya di dalam pembelajaran IPS berbasis literasi budaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan triangulasi sumber serta direduksi untuk dikategorisasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kearifan lokal dalam ludruk meliputi (1) nilai gotong royong yang dimanifestasikan melalui kegiatan kerjasama kelompok saat memerankan peran, (2) nilai spiritualitas yang tercermin dari pesan moral bernuansa keagamaan, (3) nilai toleransi melalui penggambaran tokoh dari berbagai latar belakang, serta (4) nilai cinta damai melalui kidungan berisi syair jenaka dan tembang berirama kedamaian. Implementasi dalam pembelajaran IPS dilakukan melalui tiga pendekatan: belajar tentang ludruk, belajar dengan ludruk sebagai media, dan belajar melalui ludruk untuk membangun karakter. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
