No full textThe problem of suplying the population with the main food products is
one of the major concerns of the Romanian Gouvernment,especially after the
1rst of January 2007,when our country was admitted in UE.
Starting from this point, the author, wants to prezent ,based on a case
study at "Avicola"S.A., wich will be the supplying posibilities with poultry
products (poultry meat and eggs) of Oradea`s County population, at the
beginning of the year 2010.
In order to establish wich will be the neccesay supplying ammount for
the poultry meat and eggs, we took the anual consumption per inhabitant
realised in Oradea County between the years 2001-2006, at meat-the total,
after wich the entire ammount of poultry meant was calculated, starting with
the percentage ocupied by the poultry meat in the total amount of the meat
consumption.
At the Oradea County level, the poultry meat consumption has
registered a mediun anual comsumption of 18.00kg, and the total
consumption fot the Oradea`s 206000 inhabitants ,is of 3708 tons. For the
total egg consumption the potential market in Oradea is going to be of
46,556 milion.
The main supplier of poultry products is "Avicola"S.A. Oradea, wich
is able to ensure 59,2% egg consumption and arround 20,0% of poultry
meat

No full textThis book gives an overview of cutting theories. It starts with a generic model, which is valid for all types of soil (sand, clay and rock) after which the specifics of dry sand, water saturated sand, clay, rock and hyperbaric rock are covered. For each soil type small blade angles and large blade angles, resulting in a wedge in front of the blade, are discussed. The failure mechanism of sand, dry and water saturated, is the so called Shear Type. The failure mechanism of clay is the so called Flow Type, but under certain circumstances also the Curling Type and the Tear Type are possible. Rock will usually fail in a brittle way. This can be brittle tensile failure, the Tear Type, for small blade angles, but it can also be brittle shear failure, which is of the Shear Type of failure mechanism for larger blade angles. Under hyperbaric conditions rock may also fail in a more ductile way according to the Flow Type of failure mechanism. For each case considered, the equations/model for the cutting forces, power and specific energy are given. Orangutan diet: lessons from and for the wild
No full textIn this thesis, I examine several aspects and determinants of orangutan diet at individual and species levels. Up to now, most orangutan studies on diet have focused on broad diet categories at the population level. As such, this study presents results at a new level of detail, which is a necessary step to better understand orangutan behavior and predict how (reintroduced) orangutans can survive and adapt to habitat changes (and to their release in unfamiliar forest). I started this study in 2007 on the island of Sumatra, with this thesis containing the main findings of 2.5 years of field and experimental work
