GELOLAAN LIMBAH MEDIS YANG BERKELANJUTAN: KONTRIBUSI POSITIF UNTUK LINGKUNGAN DAN KESEHATAN PUBLIK
Pengelolaan limbah medis menjadi tantangan kritis dalam konteks pertumbuhan sektor kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berjudul "Pengelolaan Limbah Medis yang Berkelanjutan: Kontribusi Positif untuk Lingkungan dan Kesehatan Publik" diselenggarakan pada 4 Januari 2024 melalui aplikasi Zoom. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, pemahaman, dan keterampilan peserta terkait praktik-praktik pengelolaan limbah medis yang berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pemaparan materi oleh pakar, diskusi kelompok, simulasi, workshop praktis, dan sesi tanya jawab. Peserta, yang berjumlah 36 orang dari berbagai kalangan, terlibat aktif dalam studi kasus dan permainan peran, menciptakan kolaborasi lintas sektor. Hasilnya mencakup peningkatan kesadaran peserta, pemahaman mendalam tentang isu-isu terkait, dan pengembangan solusi berkelanjutan. Saran untuk kegiatan selanjutnya mencakup perluasan workshop praktis dan evaluasi menyeluruh. Ucapan terima kasih disampaikan kepada semua pihak yang mendukung kegiatan ini
PENGARUH AKSES TERHADAP PELAYANAN KESEHATAN PRIMER TERHADAP TINGKAT KESEHATAN DAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT PEDESAAN
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh akses terhadap pelayanan kesehatan primer terhadap tingkat kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat pedesaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, yang melibatkan pengumpulan, analisis, dan sintesis informasi dari berbagai sumber yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akses geografis, ekonomi, dan sosial merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kemampuan masyarakat pedesaan untuk memanfaatkan pelayanan kesehatan primer. Kendala geografis seperti jarak yang jauh dan infrastruktur transportasi yang buruk menyebabkan masyarakat kesulitan untuk mengakses fasilitas kesehatan. Faktor ekonomi, termasuk biaya perawatan yang tinggi, menghambat masyarakat dengan pendapatan rendah untuk mendapatkan layanan kesehatan yang diperlukan. Selain itu, rendahnya tingkat edukasi dan kesadaran kesehatan di kalangan masyarakat pedesaan turut berkontribusi pada buruknya kondisi kesehatan mereka. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan akses dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan primer di daerah pedesaan dapat membawa dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Disarankan untuk meningkatkan infrastruktur transportasi, menyediakan tenaga medis yang memadai, memberikan subsidi biaya kesehatan, serta memperkuat program edukasi kesehatan yang berkelanjutan
EVALUASI EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM IMUNISASI ANAK DI DAERAH PERKOTAAN DAN PEDESAAN
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program imunisasi anak di daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Dengan pendekatan studi literatur, penelitian ini menelusuri kompleksitas faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi dan keberhasilan implementasi program imunisasi. Hasil analisis literatur menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan aksesibilitas, aspek ekonomi, dan faktor budaya memainkan peran kunci dalam menentukan efektivitas program imunisasi di kedua jenis daerah tersebut. Di daerah perkotaan, tingkat pendidikan dan akses terhadap fasilitas kesehatan memfasilitasi partisipasi yang lebih baik, sementara di pedesaan, tantangan geografis dan keterbatasan infrastruktur kesehatan dapat menjadi hambatan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penyesuaian kebijakan dan strategi implementasi berbasis konteks lokal. Penguatan peran tenaga kesehatan dalam menyebarkan informasi dan edukasi masyarakat, peningkatan aksesibilitas kesehatan di pedesaan, serta pengintegrasian nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam kampanye imunisasi diidentifikasi sebagai langkah-langkah kunci untuk meningkatkan cakupan imunisasi ana
Determinant Factors Associated with Behavior of COVID-19 Vaccination Acceptance in Elderly in Manutapen Health Center, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara
Background: COVID-19 disease is a disease caused by a person novel corona virus. one Vaccination is an effort made by the government for forming herd immunity and protected or immune to certain diseases, causing an indirect impact, namely being protected. vulnerable community groupsThis study aims to analyze the determinants of factors that influence the behavior of the elderly towards the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination at the Manutapen Health Center, Kupang.Subjects and Method: This observational analytic study was conducted at Manutapen Health Center, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. A total of 88 subjects was selected by simple random sampling. The dependent variables were behavior of the elderly towards receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. The independent variables are education, knowledge, attitudes, personal experience, social support, availability of information. The data wer collected using questionnaire and analyzed using Chi Square test and logistic regression.Results: The behavior of the elderly towards receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, including the level of education (OR= 5.83; 95 % CI= 1.52 to 22.29; p= 0.001), knowledge (OR= 2.21; 95 % CI= 1.30 to 3.75; p= 0.001), attitude (OR= 2.61; 95 % CI= 1.51 to 4.51; p= 0.001), and information availability (OR= 2.42; 95 % CI= 1.43 to 4.11; p= 0.001).Conclusion: Factors associated with elderly towards receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, including the level of education, knowledge, attitude, and information availability.Keywords: determinant factors, behavior of the elderly, covid-19 vaccination.Correspondence:Pius Weraman. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
