Proceedings of International Workshop "Supersymmetries and Quantum Symmetries", Dubna, 2009International audienceThe Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra, considered as the quotient of the braid group algebra, possesses the commutative set of Jucys--Murphy elements. We show that the set of Jucys--Murphy elements is maximal commutative for the generic Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra and reconstruct the representation theory of the tower of Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebras

9 pagesWe show that to every local representation of the Birman-Murakami-Wenzl algebra defined by a skew-invertible R-matrix RAut(VV)R\in Aut(V\otimes V) one can associate pairings VVCV\otimes V\to C and VVCV^*\otimes V^*\to C, where V is the representation space. Further, we investigate conditions under which the corresponding quantum group is of SO or Sp type

AbstractLet l,n∈N. Let sp2l be the symplectic Lie algebra over the complex number field C. Let V be the natural representation of the quantized enveloping algebra Uq(sp2l) and Bn,q the specialized Birman–Murakami–Wenzl algebra with parameters −q2l+1,q. In this paper, we construct a certain element in the annihilator of V⊗n in Bn,q, which comes from some one-dimensional two-sided ideal of Birman–Murakami–Wenzl algebra and is explicitly characterized (modulo the determination of some constants). We prove that the two-sided ideal generated by this element is indeed the whole annihilator of V⊗n in Bn,q and conjecture that the same is true over arbitrary ground fields and for any specialization of the parameter q. The conjecture is verified in the case when q is specialized to 1 (i.e., the Brauer algebra case) and the case when n=l+1

The Brauer algebra and the Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra

Knowledge of finite dimensional representations and their morphisms is a useful tool in the study of classical semisimple Lie groups. Fundamental works in this field were done by R. Brauer [B] and H. Weyl [W] in the thirties. Investigations of q-deformed simple Lie groups lead to similar questions. The appearing algebras are closely related with representations of braid groups. They were extensively studied by V. Jones, J. Birman [BW] and H. Wenzl [We] in the eighties. In Sections 2 and 3 we recall the definition and the some properties of the Brauer algebra. In Sections 4 and 5 we discuss the q-deformed version of this algebra, the so-called Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra. In our discussion we restrict ourselves to the orthogonal groups. The results for the symplectic groups are completely similar. In Section 6 we show how the latter algebra occurs in classification of bicovariant bimodules and differential calculi on quantum groups

The participation of people with reading and learning difficulties is particularly important in this process. On the one hand, they are dependent on texts in plain language; on the other hand, they also review texts in plain language as experts in their own right. The draft of DIN SPEC 33429 contains recommendations for translating texts into German Easy-to-Read Language, writing texts in German Easy-to-Read , and designing content in Easy-to-Read . The document describes ways to improve the comprehensibility and readability of texts and content for people with learning disabilities and other people who benefit from plain language. Furthermore, the document contains linguistic recommendations on word, sentence and text level in Easy-to-Read texts as well as on how to embed these texts in usage situations. It also contains recommendations for the visual design of Easy-to-Read texts. Furthermore, recommendations are given on the use of Easy-to-Read in various media formats. The document describes the process of creating texts and content in plain language. Finally, there are recommendations on the necessary qualifications of text creators, reviewers, and designers. DIN SPEC 33429 is aimed at all persons involved in the creation of texts and content in Easy-to-Read , as well as at clients. The project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS), was launched in March 2020. It also serves to implement the legal requirements for the use of Easy-to-Read and thus supports, for example, public agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. In addition, it can also help other organizations to use plain language. Furthermore, the recommendations can serve as quality assurance and as criteria for tenders

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    No full text
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Application of flat-rate expenses for the self-employed

The work deals with flat-rate expenses in the Czech Republic, as one of the forms of applying expenses of natural persons doing business. The aim of this work was to analyze how selected factors lead to the decision of self-employed persons to apply flat-rate expenses. The first part is focused on the general characteristics of flat-rate expenses and an evaluation of their advantages and disadvantages. The following chapter describes the historical development of the application of flat-rate expenses. In the third part, based on the information obtained from the questionnaire survey, supplemented by the provided statistical data from the GFR, an analysis of selected factors that could influence self-employed persons in deciding on the possibility of applying flat-rate expenses was carried out. The factors supporting my initial hypothesis that lump-sum expenses are used very often, I chose the length of business, the type of business activity, the amount of gross income. The performed analysis confirmed my initial hypothesis, selected factors influence the self-employed in deciding whether to apply flat-rate expenses.
