Automorphism groups of combinatorial Hantzsche-Wendt groups

    No full text
Combinatorial Hantzsche-Wendt groups were introduced by W. Craig and P.A. Linnell. Every such a group GnG_n, where nn is a natural number, encodes the holonomy action of any n+1n+1-dimensional Hantzsche-Wendt manifold. G2G_2 is the fundamental group of the classical Hantzsche-Wendt manifold -- the only one 33-dimensional oriented flat manifold with non-cyclic holonomy group. In this article, we describe the structure of the automorphism and of the outer automorphism groups of combinatorial Hantzsche-Wendt groups

    Generalized Hantzsche-Wendt flat manifolds

We study the family of closed Riemannian n-manifolds with holonomy group isomorphic to Z2n-1, which we call generalized Hantzsche-Wendt manifolds. We prove results on their structure, compute some invariants, and find relations between them, illustrated in a graph connecting the family
