Replication Data for: A general method for identifying patch-bound radiance distributions from multi-channel irradiance measurement devices
This dataset contains:
- code: The Python code to analyze the given Honeybee result data, the incidence operator training data, integrated incidence operator data (F_tot) with interactive plotly figures is given. Additionally, the code contains the functions for identifying radiance values, applying radiance values to different scenes, optimizing half-angle vectors as well as reproducing the result data and figures.
- data: The result data, mainly as numpy array. The data are structured according to the subcaptions within the manuscript within which the procedure of data generation is introduced, subcaption 2.4 and 2.5. The folders subcap_3_1 and subcap_3_2 contain the raw data behind the figures 3-5, denoted with x and y data. Additionally, the weather data are given in csv and epw file format.
- figures: The figures within the publication. They are named according to the figure number in the manuscript.
- scenes: The Rhino3D-Grasshopper files of the identification and validation scenes. Use these files to analyze the geometries, material definitions of the surfaces and sensor placements. Additionally, you can reproduce the measurement data with the "AnnualIrradiance" Honeybee component. The basis for the incidence operator training data generation is the component Honeybee "ModelToRad"

Replication Data for: A Deep-Learning Based Incidence Operator for Adjustable and Solver-Agnostic Modelling of Adaptive Façades
This dataset contains the files:
- code: All Python files to replicate result data, figure and table generation.
- data/raw: The training data including all investigated feature sets as well as the target. The training data for the incidence operator (y) were generated using the Grasshopper file and the plugins presented in the study (https://doi.org/10.18419/opus-17170). For the feature matrix X1, a uniform grid of 11 tint states between [0% and 100%] was generated. The 10,000 zenith and azimuth angles per discrete tint state are determined using the Fibonacci distribution. The feature sets X2,X3,X4 are derived from X1 as described in the paper. Additionally, this folder contains the Grasshopper file with all information about the investigated parametric design.
- data/results: The Optuna study results for all feature sets.
- figures: The result figures within the paper.<br
Replication Data for: A parametric design integrated sampling and general training approach for optimal control oriented surrogate models of light-related quantities
This dataset contains the following data:
scenes-Folder: the Grasshopper files, the the project files created by ModelToRad-component as well as the epw-file of the location. The project files include all geometries, materials and sensor placements for both scenes.
figures-Folder: the figures of the publication in the original quality as well as the underlying data of the result figures.
tables-Folder: the data underlying the result tables 1 to 3.</ul
Tugend, Wissen und Macht bei Kant und Platon
This paper compares Kant’s and Plato’s views on the relationship between philosophy and politics. Our focus will be on the role that virtue and knowledge play in both theories. Our point of reference is Plato’s famous statement that philosophers should be kings or kings philosophers and Kant’s rejection of Plato’s demand (in Towards Perpetual Peace). As we will show, Kant believes that, because of our unsocial sociability, being in power is ethically perilous and impairs the free use of reason. While in earlier writings, such as the Idea, Kant entertains the ideal of enlightened, philosophical rulership, he later rejects it as absolutist propaganda in both Perpetual Peace and the Doctrine of Right. Kant’s later conception is that politics and philosophy should be separate and that politicians should consider what philosophers have to say about law and politics. As we will argue, his conception of a division of labor between philosophy and politics still presupposes certain competences and virtues on the side of political rulers

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
