El libro de Esteban Campos se enmarca en el campo de estudios de la historia reciente argentina abordando en profundidad una fuente poco trabajada: la revista Cristianismo y Revolución. El período de su análisis abarca los últimos años de la década de 1960 y primeros de la siguiente para reflexionar, a través de la revista, sobre los orígenes de Montoneros. Desde el primer trabajo fundante de Richard Gillespi sobre esta temática, y considerando también el de Lucas Lanusse, poco se ha escrito al respecto y en este sentido resulta un aporte sustancioso.
El trabajo aborda en términos generales el discurso elaborado por la revista Cristianismo y Revolución, dirigida por el ex seminarista Juan García Elorrio y su compañera Casiana Ahumada, desde su aparición en 1966 hasta su oclusión en 1971. Su estudio busca explicar el paso de la militancia política e intelectual al uso de las armas para la toma del poder. Según Campos, fue en Cristianismo y Revolución donde se encontraron, para luego seguir sus caminos, cuadros dirigentes de lo que sería Montoneros.
En términos generales, el análisis del discurso de la revista busca abordar los siguientes tópicos: a) el vínculo entre el catolicismo y las organizaciones armadas; b) la reelaboración del discurso católico en los años sesenta; c) la inclusión en ese discurso de los trabajadores como sujetos de la acción revolucionaria; d) el problema de la violencia y el binomio política-violencia; e) la construcción de la subjetividad política; y, por último, f) el lugar que ocupó la figura de Perón en el contexto previo de su llegada al país y la forma en que se vinculó la estrategia del líder al proyecto de hegemonía alternativa que, según Campos, presentó la revista.
El libro entonces afirma algunas cuestiones interesantes para entender el proceso previo a la formación de Montoneros y el cruce entre cristianismo, marxismo y peronismo. Campos entiende que la radicalización ideológica llevó a militantes del catolicismo renovador a la construcción de organizaciones armadas que tomaron posiciones anticapitalistas y socialistas y que este giro a la izquierda fue mediado por el nacionalismo, asumiendo la identidad peronista como clave argentina de la revolución latinoamericana.
Esto último lo explica afirmando que las formas del pensamiento político-teológico durante el período 1967-1968 fusionaron tradición y modernidad e incorporaron a la violencia dentro de aquel esquema de pensamiento. La violencia fue en el discurso militante, no sólo un medio para la lucha política sino también un fin en sí mismo: el ejercicio de la fuerza y la organización militar eran las claves para jaquear el monopolio de la violencia estatal y construir una hegemonía alternativa. Campos afirma que la violencia popular no era solamente una estrategia discursiva sino una realidad palpable que comenzó a ser justificada desde la ética cristiana al absorber la denominada “teología de la violencia”. Esta última mostró un deslizamiento de la teología conciliar hacia una teología de la violencia que intervino directamente en el debate político y que tendió a justificar cada vez más la violencia popular a través de la teología. La violencia se convirtió en redentora en la revista y sería el medio-fin que se opondría al terrorismo de la Triple A y al terrorismo de Estado luego de 1976. Esto último habría generado una preferencia por el valor de la acción.
La revista incorporó también en su discurso el lenguaje marxista a través de la figura de la clase obrera: si hasta 1968 ésta no constituía un actor central para Cristianismo y Revolución, a partir del “Cordobazo” se constituirá en el agente central del cambio revolucionario. Se advertía dentro de este esquema las potencialidades revolucionarias del peronismo: según Campos, para 1970 las representaciones religiosas de Cristianismo y Revolución sobre el mundo del trabajo comenzaron a ser eclipsadas por fenómenos inéditos como la aparición del clasismo y el Peronismo de Base.
Campos se esfuerza en demostrar que, a pesar de ciertas contradicciones aparentes (como por ejemplo, aquellas atribuibles a la convivencia armónica entre peronismo, cristianismo y marxismo) la revista elaboró una trama simbólicamente coherente. Ese discurso, representativo del proyecto hegemónico de Cristianismo y Revolución, trató en los últimos números de volcar la legitimidad de Perón del lado de las organizaciones armadas peronistas.
Estos son los tópicos que deja entrever el libro dividido en seis capítulos (1. El catolicismo renovador en Cristianismo y Revolución; 2. Teología y revolución; 3. Los trabajadores en Cristianismo y Revolución; 4. Reportaje a la guerrilla argentina; 5. Sujeto y vanguardia en Cristianismo y Revolución; 6. ¿Un proyecto de hegemonía alternativa?). Es el último capítulo el que presenta la apuesta principal de Campos: pensar la revista como la punta de lanza de un proyecto hegemónico que si bien nunca pudo realizarse, sigue siendo una experiencia indispensable para pensar las estrategias del campo popular en la historia reciente argentina. A pesar de todo, esa hegemonía alternativa no existió en el nivel de las prácticas concretas, y, según Campos, a partir de 1971, frente a una nueva correlación de fuerzas, el proyecto articulado en la revista fue herido de muerte.
En el análisis de Campos, el vínculo ente peronismo, marxismo y cristianismo presenta numerosas aristas que no encuentran su cierre en el texto, pero su intervención invita a seguir pensando.
Además de sus aportes, el trabajo también deja abiertos algunos problemas y tensiones. Primero, en cuanto a lo metodológico y la fuente utilizada: el trabajo se centra en el análisis de la producción escrita de Cristianismo y Revolución y lo enlaza con algunas entrevistas a algunos militantes. Aunque manifiesta su intención de abordar la llegada que tuvo la revista, no logra acercarse al lector.
Por otro lado, hay una idea presente en el texto de que el diálogo entre cristianos y marxistas es visto como un fenómeno de “importación”: ¿cuánto de este fenómeno es importado y cuanto es en realidad reflejo de algo que sucede en varios lugares al mismo tiempo?; ¿cuánto hay de apropiación, copia y cuánto de producción? El trabajo presenta una tensión constante entre lo que vino de afuera, lo que copió y/o apropió nuestra cultura política.
Por último: el trabajo muestra progresivamente un declive de lo religioso en la revista: ¿qué queda de la dimensión religiosa en esta experiencia?, ¿cuánto de la religión se expresa en el origen de estos grupos y continúa? Una última pregunta y siguiendo el punto anterior: el trabajo no ahonda (y quizás sea ese el desafío próximo de algún historiador) sobre cuáles fueron las características, las ideas y los rasgos presentes en Cristianismo y Revolución a fines de los ’60 que continuaron en Montoneros en los años ’70. El libro muestra cuáles fueron los militantes Montoneros que pasaron por allí pero no qué ideas de este período se mantuvieron en la organización. Quizás esto permitiría comprender mejor la afirmación de que en Cristianismo y Revolución se encuentra el origen de Montoneros.
El de Campos es un trabajo que vuelve la mirada a los sesenta para repensar el origen de las organizaciones armadas y resulta una introducción obligada para quienes busquen entender aquellos años en Argentina y Latinoamérica. Aporta al debate sobre el origen de Montoneros principalmente al demostrar que éste fue heterogéneo. La radicalización de los católicos aún no había recibido la atención necesaria y el libro demuestra el lugar decisivo que ocupó en la configuración de la cultura política de algunos integrantes de Montoneros.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
