    No full text
Walter V. Robinson, editor at large at the Boston Globe, led the newspaper\u27s Spotlight Team, overseeing its investigation of sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests. That coverage received the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service and was the subject of the movie Spotlight, which won the Academy Award for best picture this year. He led the Spotlight Team for seven years. Its investigation found that a decades-long cover-up had shielded nearly 250 priests in the Boston area and sparked similar disclosures around the world. Robinson returned to the newspaper in 2014 after seven years as distinguished professor of journalism at Northeastern University. He is a 1974 graduate of Northeastern and served for four years in the U.S. Army. Robinson is co-author of the 2002 book Betrayal: Crisis in the Catholic Church
