The novel Sekar Ratri by Rita Nugroho Dwi Krisnawati is a literary work in the form of a Javanese novel which tells about a woman who has an independent attitude in doing various things in her life. This study has the aim of research, namely to explain the form of women's independence in the field of work in the novel Sekar Ratri. The theory used in this study is the theory of liberal feminism where the theory fights for rights and equality for all women. The method used in this study is using qualitative methods. This research requires data using descriptive qualitative techniques. So, the data is in the form of words, sentences or phrases or paragraphs contained in the novel. The data source obtained in this study is from the Sekar Ratri novel itself. The form of women's independence can be answered through the formulation of the problem in this study, namely how is the form of women's independence in the novel Sekar Ratri by Rita Nugroho Dwi Krisnawati. The results of this study include women's independence which is divided into 3 areas, namely in the field of work which shows that the main female character is a hard worker and has a strong determination and a woman who never gives up, a form of women's independence in the family which shows that as a woman the work done not only outside the home but women also have to take care of the house independently as housewives and as a wife, the manifestation of women's independence in society shows that women must also be in the public sphere, as social beings women also have an important role in social life.

Abstrak
Novel Sekar Ratri karya Rita Nugroho Dwi Krisnawati adalah suatu karya sastra yang berwujud novel bahasa Jawa yang menceritakan tentang wanita yang mempunyai sikap mandiri dalam melakukan berbagai hal dikehidupannya. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan dari penelitian yaitu menjelaskan wujud kemandiran wanita pada bidang pekerjaan dalam novel Sekar Ratri. Teori yang digunakakn dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori feminisme liberal dimana teori tersebut memperjuangkan hak dan kesetaraan bagi seluruh wanita. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini data dijabarkan dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Jadi, data berupa kata, kalimat maupun frasa ataupun paragraph yang terdapat dalam novel. Sumber data yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dari novel SekarRatri ini sendiri. Wujud kemandirian wanita dapat dijawab melalui rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini, yaitu bagaimana wujud kemandirian wanita dalam novel Sekar Ratri karya Rita Nugroho Dwi Krisnawati. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu diantaranya kemandirian wanita yang dibagi menjadi 3 bidang yakni pada bidang pekerjaan yang menunjukan bahwa tokoh utama wanita merupakan sosok pekerja keras dan mempunyai tekad yang kuat serta wanita pantang menyerah, wujud kemandirian wanita dalam keluarga yang menunjukan bahwa sebagai wanita pekerjaan yang dilakukan tidak hanya di luar rumah namun wanita juga harus mengurus rumah sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan sebagai seorang istri, wujud kemandirian wanita dalam masyarakat menunjukan bahwa wanita juga harus mandiri di ranah public, sebagai makhluk sosial wanita juga memiliki peran yang penting dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
