No full textDigitalEl presente proyecto tiene como objetivo principal fortalecer la imagen institucional de la Universidad de Santander, sede Valledupar, mediante el diseño de piezas gráficas reutilizables y contenido visual adaptado a sus diversos canales de comunicación. Se busca estandarizar la identidad visual de la institución, optimizar la producción de piezas comunicativas y reforzar su presencia digital, utilizando para ello principios de diseño y una metodología proyectual. Esta propuesta se concibe como un apoyo operativo al sistema de comunicación institucional, con el fin de permitir una respuesta más ágil, coherente y contextualizada a las necesidades de la comunidad universitaria local.
Actualmente, la producción de piezas gráficas en la sede Valledupar se gestiona a través de solicitudes dirigidas a la oficina de diseño en la sede principal en Bucaramanga. Aunque este modelo garantiza la coherencia visual, puede generar tiempos de espera que dificultan la atención inmediata de las necesidades comunicativas locales.
Reconociendo esta realidad, el trabajo de grado plantea una propuesta de fortalecimiento operativo orientada a diseñar soluciones visuales reutilizables y alineadas con la identidad institucional. El objetivo es complementar el modelo actual mediante herramientas gráficas adaptables, que permitan a la sede Valledupar atender con mayor agilidad las solicitudes frecuentes de su comunidad, sin comprometer la unidad gráfica de la institución.
La iniciativa busca contribuir constructivamente al flujo de trabajo de la oficina de comunicaciones local, optimizando tiempos de respuesta, ampliando la presencia visual en canales digitales y mejorando la interacción con públicos internos y externos desde una perspectiva territorial. En este contexto, las piezas institucionales no solo cumplen la función de informar, sino que también refuerzan la imagen corporativa y consolidan los mensajes que la institución desea proyectar a sus distintos públicos.The main objective of this project is to strengthen the institutional image of the University of Santander, Valledupar campus, through the design of reusable graphic elements and visual content adapted to its various communication channels. The goal is to standardize the institution's visual identity, optimize the production of communication elements, and strengthen its digital presence, utilizing design principles and a design methodology. This proposal is conceived as operational support for the institutional communication system, enabling a more agile, coherent, and contextualized response to the needs of the local university community.
Currently, the production of graphic pieces at the Valledupar campus is managed through requests addressed to the design office at the main campus in Bucaramanga. Although this model ensures visual consistency, it can generate wait times that hinder the immediate response to local communication needs. Recognizing this reality, the thesis presents a proposal for operational strengthening aimed at designing reusable visual solutions aligned with the institutional identity. The objective is to complement the current model with adaptable graphic tools that will allow the Valledupar campus to more quickly respond to frequent requests from its community without compromising the institution's graphic unity.
The initiative seeks to constructively contribute to the local communications office's workflow, optimizing response times, expanding the visual presence on digital channels, and improving interaction with internal and external audiences from a regional perspective. In this context, institutional pieces not only serve the purpose of providing information, but also reinforce the corporate image and consolidate the messages the institution wishes to project to its various audiences.Introducción 17

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
