No full textgPod est un outil de **G**estion des **P**r**O**duits **D**angereux développé par l’université de Tours à destination des personnels de laboratoire, du service hygiène et sécurité et du médecin de prévention. Son objectif principal est la gestion unifiée de tous les produits chimiques de l’université afin d’améliorer la sécurité, la traçabilité, l’exposition et le suivi du stock.Il intègre : * la gestion des équipes de recherche et des lieux de stockage ; * une base de produits avec propriétés chimiques, physiques, types de danger, références fournisseur, etc. ; * un outil de préparation de commande (panier virtuel) et de gestion des réceptions ; * des formulaires de recherche dans le stock avec saisie et de suivi des consommations ; * des exports au format PDF et XLS.Il permet en outre : * la localisation géographique des articles stockés (avec Google map) ; * l’utilisation d’étiquettes RFID pour faciliter la gestion du stock et des inventaires, mais également pour enregistrer les expositions aux produits à l’aide d’un terminal RFID nomade (Clickey) ; * la visualisation et la manipulation des molécules en 3D.Chaque utilisateur n’a la vision que du stock de produits lui appartenant. L’authentification des utilisateurs repose, au choix, sur des comptes utilisateurs locaux ou via SSO avec CAS.Développé en Java, HTML5 et Javascript, gPod s’exécute sur un serveur d’application Java EE 6 tel que Glassfish 3.1. No full textThe aim of the European Student Card (ESC) project is to create a student status at the European level. One of its objectives is the proliferation of the student status so that, upon presenting their card, students can assert their rights with the institutions that are members of the project.Part of the National Student Life Plan (PNVE), the project steering committee is made up of key stakeholders from French higher education, the National Student Card Committee (CNCE) and higher education representatives from Italy, Germany and Ireland. CNOUS (the French student services agency) has operational responsibility.The simplest version of the card only has a QR code, while the more elaborate version has an embedded memory chip that serves the same role as the QR code. The card technology must allow digital services to be added to a card that does not yet have them, and in particular to one for which nothing, or almost nothing, was planned to enable this. We will present, for example, adding the Izly service as well as using the QR code to check the status of a student when they present their card.Nothing would be possible without an application that manages the exchange of information between institutions. We will present how the ESC-R (European Student Card-Router) application will work. The project schedule anticipates development of the ESC-R platform in 2017 and setting up a use case for the proliferation of the student status via QR code.The use case for adding a service is scheduled for 2018.Le projet de carte étudiant européenne, ESC European Student Card, a pour objet de créer un statut d’étudiant à l’échelle européenne. Un de ses objectifs est la propagation du statut étudiant afin que sur simple présentation de sa carte, un étudiant, puisse faire valoir ses droits auprès des établissements adhérents au projet.Inscrit au Plan National de Vie Etudiante (PNVE), le comité de pilotage du projet est constitué des parties prenantes essentielles de l’enseignement supérieur français, du CNCE, Comité National Carte Étudiante, des représentants de l’enseignement supérieur d’Italie, d’Allemagne et d’Irlande. Le Cnous en assure la direction opérationnelle.Dans sa version la plus simple la carte comporte uniquement un QRcode, et dans sa version la plus élaborée un emplacement mémoire jouant le même rôle que le QRcode. La technologie de la carte doit alors permettre l’ajout de services numériques, sur une carte qui ne les possèdent pas déjà mais surtout pour laquelle rien, ou presque, n’a été anticipé pour le permettre. Nous présenterons, pour exemple, l'ajout du service Izly, ainsi que l'utilisation du QRcode pour contrôler le statut d'un étudiant lors de la présentation de sa carte. Rien ne serait possible sans une application qui organise les échanges d’informations entre les établissements. Nous présenterons le mode de fonctionnement de cette application: l' ESC-R pour Européan Student Card–Routeur"Le calendrier du projet prévoit en 2017 le développement de la plateforme ESC-R, et la mise en place d’un cas d’usage de propagation du statut étudiant via le QRcode. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
