Leading weight vectors in generalized verma modules
In this thesis, we systematically study the leading weight vectors in generalized Verma modules. As an application, we classify all the first order leading weight vectors and determine the corresponding Hom spaces between generalized Verma modules. Furthermore, in light of the correspondence between leading weight vectors and invariant differential operators, we obtain a practical criterion for the existence of first order invariant differential operators. This is an improvement of the result in [SS].</p
RDLS-SS-DWT v. 0.9
This fileset contains the implementation of RDLS-DWT and SS-DWT in JPEG 2000 (RDLS-SS-DWT v. 0.9), which was used in a research described in: R. Starosolski, “Application of reversible denoising and lifting steps to DWT in lossless JPEG 2000 for improved bitrates,” Signal Processing: Image Communication, Vol. 39, Part A, pp. 249-63, DOI: 10.1016/j.image.2015.09.013, 2015 and R. In-vitro studies of SS 316Â L biomedical implants prepared by FDM, vapor smoothing and investment casting
The function of biomedical implant is to replace the biological parts/limbs in body. Among various materials, metals and alloys like titanium, stainless steel (SS) are used as biomedical implants due to their superior mechanical properties, considerable bio-compatibility and easy manufacturing. In the present study, implants of SS 316L have been made with the combination of three processes namely fused deposition modelling, vapor smoothing and investment casting. Further, in-vitro test has been performed on the implants in order to analyze its corrosion behavior and bio-compatibility, to check its applicability and to verify the effect of manufacturing processes on its corrosion properties

RIC-HSCT for MF/SS
Advanced-stage mycosis fungoides and Sezary syndrome (MF/SS) have a poor prognosis. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), particularly using a reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC) regimen, is a promising treatment for advanced-stage MF/SS. We performed RIC-HSCT in nine patients with advanced MF/SS. With a median follow-up period of 954days after HSCT, the estimated 3-year overall survival was 85.7% (95% confidence interval, 33.4-97.9%) with no non-relapse mortality. Five patients relapsed after RIC-HSCT; however, in four patients whose relapse was detected only from the skin, persistent complete response was achieved in one patient, and the disease was manageable in other three patients by the tapering of immunosuppressants and donor lymphocyte infusion, suggesting that graft-versus-lymphoma effect and "down-staging" effect from advanced stage to early stage by HSCT improve the prognosis of advanced-stage MF/SS. These results suggest that RIC-HSCT is an effective treatment for advanced MF/SS

Recurrent bilaterally symmetrical bullous sweet′s syndrome: A rare and confusing entity
A rare presentation of Sweet′s syndrome (SS) (acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis) is being reported in a 28-year-old man from India. I report a rare presentation of SS that consisted of bilaterally symmetrical, bullous lesions on both forearms with a seasonal recurrence. A thorough work-up for the usual conditions predisposing to or leading to SS did not throw any light on the etiology. After failing treatment with prednisolone alone we added indomethacin, and he responded to the combination in a matter of days with complete clearance of lesions
Microstructure, Mechanical and Electrochemical Evaluation of Dissimilar low Ni SS and 304 SS using Different Filler Materials
This study investigates the effect of dissimilar metal welding of low nickel stainless steel (SS) and 304 SS employing tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding process by using three different filler materials (316L, 308L and 310 SS). Microstructural, mechanical properties and corrosion behavior in 3.5% NaCl solution was studied. The microstructural investigation revealed the formation of δ-ferrite and γ-austenite in the weld (welded by 316L and 308L filler). The Higher δ-ferrite content was found more in 316L weld zone. Whereas samples welded by 310 SS filler showed the columnar structure in the weld zone. Relatively wider heat affected zone (HAZ) was measured on Cr-Mn SS side as compared to 304 SS side. Impact fracture surface of all the welded samples exhibited dimple appearance. Corrosion studies showed better pitting corrosion resistance in 316L SS welded sample due to the beneficial effect of δ-ferrite and also the addition of molybdenum (Mo). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) revealed higher polarization resistance (Rp) in 316L SS as compared to other fillers. Galvanic current density was found to be higher in Cr-Mn SS as compared to 304 SS when coupled with different welded samples.</div
