The matter of Maria (Lupu) Radziwiłł’s will is one of little-known questions. In this article the author examines this question in several ways: 1) The property brought by Maria (Lupu) Radziwiłł, a daughter of Vasile Lupu, as a dowry; 2) Wiano and wedding gifts; 3) Awards of Polish kings for life ownership of real property; 4) The property of her husband. The amount of the dowry of Maria is not exactly known, but according to documentary evidence, it numbered from 600,000 to 2000,000 zlotys: 450 thousand in money and 150 thousand in jewels (gold and silver). In this study, the author presents some of the fragments of the private life of Princess Maria (Lupu) Radziwiłł on the basis of illustrative material. Of particular interest in this respect are various images of Maria (Lupu) Radziwiłł on frescos, engravings, and paintings of the 17th–18th centuries, which are preserved in the museums and churches of Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Romania, and Russia. For the first time in historical literature, the author attempted to chronologically follow the history of portraits and images of Maria. Zastosowanie aspektu ilustracyjnego w metodologii badań historycznych pozwala autorowi połączyć słowo i obraz, podnosząc wartość dokumentów rzeczowych – źródeł narracyjnych i dzieł sztuki – w celu stworzenia głębokiego i wielopłaszczyznowego obrazu epoki a także odwzorowania życia codziennego, kwestii duchowości i moralności tamtego okresu

A Norwegian grey zone: Knut Rød, Victor Lind and 'The crucial year, 1942'
This article uses Primo Levi’s concept of “the grey zone” to explore Knut Rød’s involvement in the transfer of 532 Norwegian Jews from Oslo to Auschwitz in 1942. Rød, the police chief in charge of the operation, was subsequently exonerated of any crime on the grounds that he had simultaneously used his position to help members of Milorg – the Norwegian Resistance. The legal and moral basis of this verdict has been questioned by the artist Victor Lind in a series of artworks, including his “countermonument” The Perpetrator (2005)

Respiratory Symptoms in Children with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
Address for coresspondence: Dr. Vasile Valeriu Lupu, MD, PhD, Pediatrics Department, University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Gr. T. Popa”, 16 Universitatii St., Iasi, 700115, Romania, [email protected] Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a frequent entity in pediatrics, which is still under-diagnosed (“the disease of the third millennium”). The polymorphic clinical symptoms are dominated not only by post-feeding vomiting, but in many cases also by
respiratory symptoms (from night cough to apnea episodes, recurrent wheezing, aspiration pneumonia and even sudden death syndrome).
The GERD therapy consists in: general measures, pharmacological and/or surgical therapy. The original drugs (prokinetic agents) have
been replaced lately by the proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs), as these are considered medication able to generate the disappearance of the reflux symptoms in most cases. When GERD is associated with respiratory manifestations, the PPIs therapy is controversial. Therefore,
the specialized literature is to be reviewed in order to highlight such cases of this complex disease

Author Obliged to Submit Paper before 4 July: Policies in an Enterprise Specification
Abstract Specifying policies doesn't occur in splendid isolation but as part of refining an enterprise specification. The roles, the tasks, and the business processes of an ODP community provide the basic alphabet over which we write our policies. We discuss how we might formulate policies and show how policies are refined alongside the refinement of the overall system specification, developing notions of sufficiency and necessity. Policy delegation is also discussed and we categorise different forms of delegating an obligation
