Stages for the More Sustainable Farm
Get PDFCurrently, agricultural farm units are faced with a double and most times contradictory challenge, in order to be successful: on the one hand the invested capital has to be profitable and the economic performance has to be maximised. On the other hand, given the socio-environmental situation, it is necessary to preserve and to protect the environment and natural resources. Given the potential conflict of the two aims, since the satisfaction of one implies the underperformance of the other (and vice versa), the question then is: which is the solution to choose? We intend, in this work, to formulate a farm plan with the purpose of reconciling the criteria of environmental sustainability with that of economic competitiveness. For this achievement we proceed to the comparative study of sustainability of different groups of farms identified in the study area (first evaluation cycle) through MESMIS (“Marco para la Evaluación de Sistemas de Manejo de Recursos Naturales Mediante Indicadores de Sustentabilidad” - Framework for Evaluation of Natural-Resource Systems Handling through Sustainability Indicators) methodology, that allowed to select the more sustainable group of farms. Based on the found potentialities and weakness on these production systems, we stepped to the planning of a production unit of bovine meat, which obeys simultaneously to economic and environmental objectives, using Multicriteria Decision. We finished the work with the sustainability evaluation between groups of farms identified previously and the planned farms (second evaluation cycle), based, again, in the MESMIS methodology, to confirm (or not) the greatest sustainability of the last ones. The use of crowdfunding in entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions
No full textRESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The goal of the paper is to present the possibilities of using crowdfunding in entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions and investigating the impact of this activity on the development or strengthening of entrepreneurial traits and attitudes of students.
THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The research problem concerns the use of crowdfunding in entrepreneurship education. The method applied to solve the research problem was a diagnostic survey. Questionnaires were completed by 314 full-time students and 34 academic teachers.
THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The process of reasoning starts with the presentation of the research method. Next, methods of the entrepreneurship education are described. Afterwards, research results are presented. The paper ends with conclusions and recommendations.
RESEARCH RESULTS: In the opinion of students and academic teachers developing a crowdfunding projects by students, with the special emphasis on the action plan, might be an important didactic method in entrepreneurial education. It also has significant impact on the development or strengthening students’ ability to take advantage of opportunities.
CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS: The conclusions allow for verifying the thesis that crowdfunding might be used in an effective entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions. It is recommended to consider its inclusion in a wide range of methods used in entrepreneurship education

These three texts are published in Resistenze femminili (Udine: Forum, 2019). In 2018 she created Il canto della caduta. Earthbound (2021) is her last devised show, which brings in the themes of ecofeminism, taking cues from the theories of Donna Haraway and Bruno Latour. In 2021 she became associate artist at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. In 2023, she is guest of honor at the 11th Biennale internationale des arts de la marionette in Paris. Sustainable development activities in chemical companies in Poland : links between SDGs and ESG
Get PDFPurpose: The main aim of the article is to explore sustainable development activities undertaken by the chemical companies in Poland. Three research objectives were established: (1) identification of key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for chemical companies, (2) identification of activities related to each of the three ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) elements in chemical companies, and (3) linking specific SDGs and ESG elements in the case of the chemical industry. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve the aim of the article, the content analysis was used. Documents of chemical companies regarding sustainable development were analyzed, i.e. strategies, policies and reports. Findings: Firstly, the analysis of strategies and policies allowed to identify 13 key SDGs for the Polish chemical companies. Secondly, analysis of the reports, allowed the discovery of numerous activities of the chemical companies in the environmental, social and governance areas. Finally, the links between specific SDGs and ESG elements in the chemical sector were presented. Practical implications: The paper contributes to the better understanding of the chemical companies’ sustainable development activities. In terms of practical implications, the results could guide chemical companies in the development of their ESG strategies. Originality/value: The review of the literature has shown that problems such as SDGs and ESG in the context of the chemical industry have rarely been addressed so far. The links between SDGs and ESG in the chemical industry have also not been studied. To the best knowledge of the author, this is one of the first known studies to investigate the SDGs and ESG issues in chemical companies in Poland. Jakość zarządzania w organizacjach (indywidualnie) jest także nieczęsto poddawana ocenie. W opracowaniu przedstawiono zarys modelu oceny jakości zarządzania w szkołach wyższych. Model powinien obejmować wiele kryteriów oceny poziomu jakości zarządzania, dotyczących wyników naukowych, edukacyjnych i ekonomicznych uczelni oraz jej potencjału w tych obszarach. Ponadto autorka dokonuje przeglądu definicji jakości zarządzania oraz przedstawia wybrane podejścia w ocenie jakości zarządzania.The issue of quality of management in organizations is rarely of interest to researchers, the more sporadically appears in publications in the field of quality of management in higher education. Quality of management in organizations (individually) is also rarely assessed. The study outlines the model for assessing the quality of management in higher education institutions. The model should include multiple criteria for assessing the level of quality of management on the scientific, educational and economic results and higher education institutions’ potential in these areas. Dynamics of internationalization of Polish universities

Se creó una Estrategia de comunicación del conocimiento que consistió en generar recursos audiovisuales basados en TIC para promover bienestar y salud mental positiva en estudiantes universitarios en tiempos de pandemia, vinculada al proyecto INV 2371 ESTUDIO DE LAS PROPIEDADES PSICOMÉTRICAS DE LAS ESCALAS DE BIENESTAR DE DIENER EN POBLACIÓN COLOMBIANA cuya autora principal es la Dra. Marta Martín. Los tipos de recursos audiovisuales generados fueron infografías, podCaps, videos, y poster, en total fueron 10 recursos, con un resultado en general de 423 vistas, 240 like y 10 opiniones. Por los resultados de la encuesta de opinión se concluyó que las tic juegan un papel fundamental en la promoción de salud mental, puesto que la mayoría de los estudiantes encuestados les pareció bueno el material expuesto.The objective of this project was to generate audiovisual resources based on ICT to promote well-being and positive mental health in university students in times of pandemic. A Knowledge Communication Strategy was created that consisted of generating ICT-based audiovisual resources to promote well-being and positive mental health in university students in times of pandemic, linked to the INV 2371 project STUDY OF THE PSYCHOMETRIC PROPERTIES OF THE WELL-BEING SCALES OF DIENER IN COLOMBIAN POPULATION whose main author is Dr. Marta Martín. The types of audiovisual resources generated were infographics, podCaps, videos, and posters, in total there were 10 resources, with an overall result of 423 views, 240 likes and 10 opinions.
