Coloreando “proyectos hegemónicos”: la agenda política LGBTQIA+ en losgobiernos de FHC, Lula y Dilma
No full textThis article analyzes the incorporation of the LGBTQIA+ agenda by the Brazilian federal government between 1995 and 2016. It examines the Executive Branch’s central policies for the LGBTQIA+ population, situating them within the broader political-economic programs of each administration. It also investigates how shifts in the political-economic orientation of governments and in the correlation of social forces influenced both the formulation of demands and the organization of the LGBTQIA+ movement. The research is based on document analysis, interviews, a review of the specialized literature, and a theoretical approach grounded in the concepts of "hegemonic project" and “accumulation strategy” as proposed by Bob Jessop, as well as in Nicos Poulantzas’s conception of the state. This study concludes that LGBTQIA+ policies stem from the mobilization of the movement and its networks, while also being conditioned by changes in governmental orientations and the political alliances that underpin them.Este artigo analisa a incorporação da agenda LGBTQIA+ pelo governo federal brasileiro entre 1995 e 2016. O estudo examina as principais políticas voltadas à população LGBTQIA+ formuladas pelo Poder Executivo, situando-as no interior dos programas político-econômicos de cada gestão. Simultaneamente, investiga de que modo as transformações na orientação político-econômica dos governos e nas correlações de forças que os sustentavam influenciaram tanto a formulação das demandas quanto a organização do movimento LGBTQIA+. A pesquisa baseia-se em levantamento documental, entrevistas, revisão da bibliografia especializada e em uma abordagem teórica ancorada nos conceitos de “projeto hegemônico” e “estratégia de acumulação”, conforme propostos por Bob Jessop, e na concepção de Estado desenvolvida por Nicos Poulantzas. Conclui-se que as políticas LGBTQIA+ resultam da ação do movimento e suas redes, mas também são condicionadas pelas mudanças das orientações e alianças políticas que sustentam os governos. Este artículo analiza la incorporación de la agenda LGBTQIA+ por parte del gobierno federal brasileño entre 1995 y 2016. Examina las principales políticas dirigidas a la población LGBTQIA+ formuladas por el Poder Ejecutivo, situándolas dentro de los programas político-económicos más amplios de cada gestión. Al mismo tiempo, investiga cómo los cambios en la orientación político-económica de los gobiernos y en la correlación de fuerzas sociales influyeron tanto en la formulación de demandas como en la organización del movimiento LGBTQIA+. La investigación se basa en el análisis documental, entrevistas, revisión de la bibliografía especializada y un enfoque teórico fundamentado en los conceptos de “proyecto hegemónico” y “estrategia de acumulación” propuestos por Bob Jessop, así como en la concepción del Estado desarrollada por Nicos Poulantzas. Se concluye que las políticas LGBTQIA+ resultan de la acción del movimiento y sus redes, pero también están condicionadas por los cambios en las orientaciones y alianzas políticas que sustentan a los gobiernos.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
“Ideologia de gênero” e “marxismo cultural” nas taras presidenciais: Marxismo e feminismo na “cena” política brasileira
Get PDFO objetivo do artigo é, a partir da análise do recente processo político que possibilitou a emergência política do neofascismo no Brasil em contraponto com as lutas pela diversidade sexual e de gênero e feministas, refletir sobre o diálogo do marxismo com essas lutas. Para tanto, analisarei o termo “ideologia de gênero” com base na aproximação teórica entre Antonio Gramsci e Judith Butler, o me levou a investigar também Louis Althusser e Michel Foucault. Depois, apresentarei as principais ideias conservadoras que estão por trás da expressão “marxismo cultural”, para então analisar o próprio marxismo e a sua relação com outras lutas sociais. E concluo apontando a atualidade do marxismo, mas também a necessidade de democratizar o marxismo como teoria
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Para tanto, foi analisada a trajetória da Associação Brasileira de Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis e Transexuais (ABGLT), entre 1995 e 2015, bem como a relação da associação com os governos FHC, Lula e Dilma na construção de políticas sociais. Além disso, o estudo se voltou também para a análise das principais bandeiras de luta, as formas de organização, as ações coletivas e as formas de mobilização de recursos; as estratégias traçadas diante os limites e desafios de cada contexto; os principais aliados, como o governo federal e outros movimentos sociais, e inimigos, como o neoconservadorismo evangélico; bem como os discursos, concepções e posicionamentos da ABGLT. Na fundamentação teórica, a análise envolveu um diálogo entre os elementos teórico-metodológicos do marxismo com os de outros referenciais, como as contribuições de Michel Foucault, do feminismo e dos estudos sobre a "construção democrática". Além da pesquisa bibliográfica, também houve pesquisa documental, a realização de entrevista com militantes e gestores/as e a observação participante em eventos do movimento LGBTAbstract: This thesis investigates if neoliberalism had any influence on the collective action of the LGBT movement in Brazil. For that, the trajectory of the Brazilian Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trasvesti and Transsexual (ABGLT) between 1995 and 2015 was analyzed, as well as the associative relationship with the governments FHC, Lula and Dilma in the construction of social policies. In addition, the study also analyzed the main demands, forms of organization, collective actions and ways of mobilizing resources; the strategies outlined in each context; the main allies, such as the federal government and other social movements, and main enemies, such as evangelical neoconservatism; as well as the discourses, conceptions and positions of ABGLT. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
