CONSUMER DECISION MAKING STYLE ON MYANMAR TRADITIONAL COSTUME
This study is about consumer decision making style on Myanmar traditional costume. The objectives of this study are to explore the consumer decision making styles such as perfectionism, value consciousness, brand consciousness, fashion consciousness, time consciousness and support-seeker on Myanmar traditional costume and to analyze the
relationship between the consumer decision making styles and consumer buying behavior of Myanmar traditional costume. Primary data for this study were collected the information of the structured questionnaires on consumers behavior for the purchase and wearing Myanmar traditional costume. Face to face interview for 185 customers from ten Myanmar traditional costume shops in Mandalay was applied in September, 2017. Descriptive statistics was applied to describe the profile of the respondents and the mean values of the variables of this study. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the consumer decision making styles and consumer buying behavior. According to the results of correlation coefficient, all decision making styles had the positive correlation with consumer buying behavior of Myanmar traditional costume. The multiple regression results revealed that among the six consumer decision making styles, the four decision making styles namely perfectionism, value consciousness, brand consciousness, fashion consciousness, time consciousness and support-seeker had the significant effect on consumer buying behavior of Myanmar traditional costume. Among them, perfectionism (quality consciousness) gained as the most important and significant factor to influence on consumer purchasing behavior. Two decision making styles (brand consciousness and time consciousness) were not the factors to influence on consumer purchase behavior of Myanmar traditional costume
Resilience of the mangrove ecosystem and its restoration perspectives in the mega delta of Myanmar
Numerical simulation on sedimentation in Yangon River and its navigation channel
A shallow area called, Inner Bar,near Yangon Port is a major obstacle for Yangon
Rivertraffic. In order to obtain basic information for these dimentation problem, characteristics offlow,
sediment transport and bedlevel changes were investigated for Yangon River and
its navigation channel by means of numerical simulation. 3D Princeton Ocean Model(POM)
with a wetting and drying scheme was used to cope with large tidal ranges for predicting the
river and tidal flows.Topographic data, upstream river discharges and tidal elevations at the
river mouth were given as the inputdata for the models.Computed depth-averaged velocity
was verified against field data of NELSON(2000).Bed shear stress was evaluated from bottom
velocity calculated by the 3Dflow model.Bed level change was simulated with a2D sediment
transport model for different seasonal and tidal conditions.Sediment diameter used in the calculation was obtained by sand sampling from material of Inner Bar.
The simulation clearly
showed large amount of sand deposition at Inner Bar and some other areas in the river.Estimated amount of sedimentation around Inner Bar was roughly equivalent to that of bottom
material dredged by Myanmar Port Authority to maintain the depth
Investigation of Vitamin C Content and Nutritional Values from the Fruits of Citrus aurantium L.
Assessing the status of three mangrove species restored by the local community in the cyclone-affected area of the Ayeyarwady Delta, Myanmar
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
