Development of straw bale house design concepts and construction systems based on principles of building ecology and building biology
No full textA szalmaházak alacsony beépített energiatartalommal és kivételes építésökológiai tulajdonságokkal, de kiváló hőszigetelőképességüknek köszönhetően, nagyon kedvező üzemeltetési potenciállal is rendelkeznek, mindeközben természetességüknek és könnyű hozzáférhetőségüknek köszönhetően építésbiológiai és gazdaságossági szempontból is ígéretesek.
Fentieknek megfelelően és a környezeti - fenntarthatósági szempontok különös figyelembevételével megalkottam a13 pontból álló ECOBIONOM tervezési koncepciót. Ezen koncepció elveit követve a hazai viszonyokra fejlesztettem és megvalósult példákon keresztül bemutattam szalmaház építési rendszereket, úgymint kisbálás szalmaház építési rendszer, előregyártott szalmaház építési rendszer és extrém vastag (nagy kockabálás vagy több sorban alkalmazott kisbálás) szalmaház építési rendszer. 12 projekten keresztül ismertettem ezen építési rendszereket és a legfontosabb csomóponti részletmegoldásaikat: az alap-lábazati csomópontokat, a fal-födém-tető kapcsolatokat és a nyílászárók beépítési lehetőségeit. A tervezési koncepciók, az építési rendszerek és a csomóponti részletmegoldások egymással együtt, egymásra hatva fejlődtek ki és további tökéletesítésük is ennek megfeleleően folytatható. A tapasztalatok függvényében megvizsgáltam előzőek előnyeit, továbbfejlesztési lehetőségeit, a javasolható kutatási irányokat és a jövőben várható tendenciákat.Straw bale houses, with their low embodied energy and exceptional ecological building characteristics, also offer highly favorable operational potential due to their excellent thermal insulation properties. At the same time, their natural quality and easy availability make them promising from both a building biology and economic perspective.
In line with these qualities—and with special regard to environmental and sustainability considerations—I have developed the ECOBIONOM design concept, consisting of 13 principles. Following the principles of this concept, I have adapted and presented straw bale construction systems tailored to Hungarian conditions, demonstrated through realized examples. These include:
- the small straw bale house construction system
- the prefabricated straw bale house construction system
- the extremely thick straw bale house construction system (using large cube bales or multiple rows of small bales)
Through 12 projects, I have presented these building systems and their most important structural solutions, including:
- foundation-plinth details
- wall-floor-roof connections
- installation possibilities for doors and windows
The design concepts, construction systems, and structural detailing have evolved together, influencing each other, and their further refinement can also proceed accordingly. Based on experience, I have examined their advantages, possibilities for further development, recommended research directions, and anticipated future trends

E tevékenység fontos része tudósaink, mérnökeink és szakembereink munkásságának díjazása. A kereskedelem és az ipar területén elérhető legrangosabb akadémiai elismerés az 1897-ben alapított Wahrmann-díj. A mecénás Wahrmann Mór a dualizmus korának egyik legjelentősebb nagykereskedője és politikusa volt. Végrendeletében nagy összeget hagyott közérdekű célokra, és ennek egy részét alapítvány formájában a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia kezelte. Az 1897 és 1933 között háromévente adományozott díjhoz pénzjutalom vagy az azzal egyenértékű, névre szóló, nagy méretű aranyérem járt jutalmul. Az érmet mindössze négy díjazott kérte, de ezek közül jelenleg csak a kiváló gépészmérnök, Bláthy Ottó Titusz számára 1909-ben adományozott példányt ismerjük. Az unikális érem 2021-ben, vásárlás útján került a Nemzeti Múzeum Éremtárába
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
