The Impact Of The Development Of ICT In Several Hungarian Economic Sectors
As the author could not find a reassuring mathematical and
statistical method in the literature for studying the effect of
information communication technology on enterprises, the author
suggested a new research and analysis method that he also used to study the Hungarian economic sectors. The question of what
factors have an effect on their net income is vital for enterprises. At first, the author studied some potential indicators related to economic sectors, then those indicators were compared to the net income of the surveyed enterprises. The resulting data showed that the growing penetration of electronic marketplaces contributed to the change of the net income of enterprises to the greatest extent.
Furthermore, among all the potential indicators, it was the only indicator directly influencing the net income of enterprises.
With the help of the compound indicator and the financial data
of the studied economic sectors, the author made an attempt to find a connection between the development level of ICT and
profitability. Profitability and productivity are influenced by a lot of other factors as well. As the effect of the other factors could not be measured, the results – shown in a coordinate system - are not full but informative.
The highest increment of specific Gross Value Added was
produced by the fields of ‘Manufacturing’, ‘Electricity, gas and water supply’, ‘Transport, storage and communication’ and
‘Financial intermediation’. With the exception of ‘Electricity, gas and water supply’, the other economic sectors belong to the group of underdeveloped branches (below 50 percent).
On the other hand, ‘Construction’, ‘Health and social work’ and
‘Hotels and restaurants’ can be seen as laggards, so they got into the lower left part of the coordinate system.
‘Agriculture, hunting and forestry’ can also be classified as a
laggard economic sector, but as the effect of the compound
indicator on the increment of Gross Value Added was less
significant, it can be found in the upper left part of the coordinate system. Drawing a trend line on the points, it can be made clear that it shows a positive gradient, that is, the higher the usage of ICT devices, the higher improvement can be detected in the specific Gross Value Added

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Dr. Henning joined faculty in 2008 and is Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Environmental Studies. An award-winning author, Dr. Henning has written or edited more than 10 books and 35 articles and chapters, including Riders in the Storm: Ethics in an Age of Climate Change (Anselm 2015) and Climate Change Ethics and the Non-human World (Routledge 2020)
Who’s that Lady?
This article considers the valiant woman from Proverbs 31 and explores the context and original identity of that woman while also questioning how to reclaim that figure for the 21st century\u27s Christian community. Henning starts by acknowledging that this figure has come to intimidate women who look to the passage because it represents an impossible ideal. Henning, however, is also equally disappointed in the way many scholars have tried to reclaim this figure by ignoring the original context and using her to suit their own needs. The author comes to the conclusion that the woman of Proverb 31 represents Woman Wisdom she is representative of another metaphor for God, and all of her super human works represent God\u27s activity towards and relationship with humanity. This figure can then be reclaimed, Henning argues, by 21st century Christians as an example of God\u27s work in community and the manner in which Christians can aspire to interact with all of humanity

“In the Evening the Mayor Arrived from the Russian Camp”: The First 34 Years of the Life of Wilhelm Henning
The article was submitted on 12.12.2018.Статья являет собой первый опыт специального обозрения событий начального этапа биографии Вилима Геннина, признанного организатора металлургической промышленности России XVIII в., основателя Екатеринбурга. Рассмотрены вопросы о месте и времени рождения В. Геннина, о его родственном круге. Подтверждено мнение об идентичности В. Геннина с Георгом Вильгельмом Генниным (Georg Wilhelm Henning), рожденным в октябре 1676 г. в г. Зигене. На основе анализа выявленных сведений о юности В. Геннина мотивировано предположение об отсутствии у него не только высшего, но и законченного среднего образования. На основании архивных документов, впервые введенных в научный оборот, уточнены обстоятельства вступления Вилима Геннина в российскую службу, опровергнута устоявшаяся точка зрения о его личном знакомстве с Петром I в 1698 г. Высказано мнение, что мотивом перехода В. Геннина на службу русскому царю явилось очевидное отсутствие у него карьерных перспектив в Западной Европе. Выявлен факт искажения Вилимом Генниным в личной записке 1743 г. событий начала службы в России. Документально установлено, что на протяжении первых трех лет пребывания в Москве В. Геннин являлся мастером Оружейной палаты. Обоснованы предположения о том, что, перейдя в ведомство Приказа артиллерии, Вилим Геннин не участвовал ни в одной из кампаний Великой Северной войны 1702–1709 гг., а также о покровительстве ему со стороны братьев генералов Я. В. и Р. В. Брюсов. Показано, что непосредственное участие в боевых действиях В. Геннин принял лишь в 1710 г., отличившись в качестве артиллерийского офицера в ходе осад Выборга и Кексгольма. Мотивировано предположение о том, что перелом в карьере В. Геннина в России произошел в 1710 г. Этот перелом был связан с его первой личной встречей с Петром I, которая состоялась в связи с командированием В. Геннина к царю с сообщением о взятии Кексгольма. Сумев произвести на главу государства благоприятное впечатление, Вилим Геннин обеспечил себе дальнейший карьерный рост (первоначально в Санкт-Петербурге) в качестве военного инженера и организатора литейного производства.This article is the first attempt to make a special review of the events in the early life of Wilhelm Henning, a founding father of the metallurgical industry of 18th-century Russia and of Yekaterinburg. The article concerns some issues connected with Henning’s place and time of birth and his family. The author substantiates the fact that the person known as Vilim de Gennin was originally known as Georg Wilhelm Henning, born in October 1676 in Siegen. Referring to archival sources which have not been previously studied, the author clarifies the circumstances underlying the entry of Wilhelm Henning into Russian service, refuting the long-established opinion about his personal acquaintance with Peter I in 1698. He argues that the motive behind Henning’s transition to the service of the Russian tsar was obviously a lack of career prospects in Western Europe. Additionally, the article demonstrates that Wilhelm Henning distorted the events of his early life in Russia in his personal note (1743). It is documented that during the first three years of his stay in Moscow, Henning worked as a master in the State Armoury; this helps prove the assumption that, by transferring to the Artillery Prikaz, Henning did not participate in campaigns of the Great Northern War during 1702–1709 and received the patronage of the Bruce brothers, Jacob and Robert. It is shown that Henning took part in military actions only in 1710, having distinguished himself as an artillery officer during the sieges of Vyborg and Kexholm. The author thus argues that the turning point of Henning’s career in Russia was 1710. This was when he had his first personal meeting with Peter I, when Henning was sent to the tsar to notify him of the siege of Kexholm. Having managed to produce a favourable impression on the tsar, Henning secured further career growth (at first in St Petersburg) as a military engineer and organiser of the metallurgical industry

Structural insights obtained for homodimeric full-length LRRK2/LRRK1 protein complexes and liposomal preparation as a tool to study membrane proteins under buffer gradients by Cryo-EM
Parkinson’s (PD) is one the most common neurodegenerative movement disorder. The complex etiology of the disease makes treatment difficult and although the past decades of research have substantially increased our understanding of the disease, a completely cure is still missing. Originally considered a sporadic disease, extensive genome wide studies of PD patients has identified various genes which are now linked to PD. Out of all the genes, the most prevalent is the leucine rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2). Mutations in LRRK2 are now believed to cause the most common familial forms, and some sporadic forms, of Parkinson’s. LRRK2 gene encodes for a large multidomain protein complex LRRK2. Structurally LRRK2 is characterized by an unique modular architecture which contains a GTPase and a kinase domain in the same complex and further surrounded by several protein-protein interaction domains. Most of the pathologically important LRRK2 mutations are clustered in the catalytic core of the protein, hinting that altered GTPase and kinase activities play a crucial role in pathogenesis. There is a need to unravel the structural mechanism that drive and modulate LRRK2 GTPase and kinase activities for a better understanding of the disease mechanism and developing advanced therapeutic strategies.
Another related but less scrutinized protein is LRRK1, the closest paralogue of LRRK2. The domain organization of LRRK1 is very similar to LRRK2 and the expression profile and cellular organization of both the proteins are also overlapping. However, irrespective of these similarities, mutations in LRRK1 have not been genetically associated with PD. This difference has stimulated various studies to understand the functional roles of LRRK2 and LRRK1 and the link between the two. Structural and functional studies on LRRK1 are not yet fully explored as LRRK2.
So far, it has been a challenge to isolate a sufficient quantity of intact, full-length LRRK2 and LRRK1 protein for structure determination. The available structural insights for LRRK2 come indirectly from the study of related proteins from the same family in lower organisms. Crystal structures for the human LRRK2 ROC domain and bacterial ROC- COR and kinase domain have been published so far. Although, these structures have advanced our understanding of LRRK2 functions but are insufficient to fully address their physiological relevance. Similarly, structural information about LRRK1 is minimal with no 3D structures reported, neither of full-length protein nor of any of its domains. In addition to continued effort to solve atomic models of individual catalytic domains of LRRK2 and LRRK1 by X-ray crystallography, there is a need to elucidate structure of full-length protein complex to delve deeper into the molecular functioning of the whole protein, given that fact that surrounding the catalytic core, LRRK2 and LRRK1 has a number of protein-interaction domains which impart high degree of conformational flexibility in order to accommodate different substrate to carry out the diverse functions.
The goal of this thesis is to solve the three dimensional structures of the homodimeric complexes formed by full-length LRRK2 and LRRK1, respectively, analyzed by cryo- electron microscopy (cryo-EM) imaging and computational single particle image anal- ysis. This will enable for the first time to unveil the tertiary structure of the protein complex. To realise the aim, the primary goal was to standardise the expression and purification of full length LRRK2 and LRRK1 to produce adequate quantity and qual- ity of proteins for structural determination. Constructs for the mammalian expression of 3xflag tagged LRRK2 and 3flag tagged LRRK1 were expressed in human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells and subsequently used for affinity purification. Further, exten- sive optimization of the purified protein for cryo-EM sample preparation was carried out with the final aim to prepare homogenous sample for data collection by cryo-EM. Chapter 3 includes the methods used for the expression and purification of LRRK2, sample optimization for cryo-EM, data collection and single particle image processing. Chapter 2 gives a general introduction to Parkinson’s, its various aspects and the role of LRRK2 in Parkinson’s disease, followed by an introduction to LRRK2 and LRRK1.
In a second project, a novel method development is proposed to use liposomes as a tool to study membrane proteins under buffer gradients by cryo-EM. Methods are described on how to embed membrane proteins, such as voltage-gated potassium channels, into lipid vesicles (liposomes), while altering the buffer conditions inside and the outside of the buffer differently. This allows setting up a gradient such as pH, salt, ligands or membrane potential across the liposome bilayer membrane. Chapter 4, describes these methods to prepare liposomes, establish gradient, verify the presence of different buffers inside and outside of the liposomes. The goal of the project is the provide a proof of concept for the methods to be suitable for vitrification and image collection by cryo-EM. By optimising different lipid of protein ratios, well ordered 2D crystalline liposomes reconstituted with membrane protein were generated. These proteoliposomes can be processed by using a combination of electron crystallography and single particle processing routines. Al- ternatively, for larger membrane proteins, tomography and subtomogram averaging can also be utilised. Chapter 2 covers an introduction to electron microscopy, cryo-EM and image processing, which is the common methodological tool used in both the projects
