Herméneia de l’être et dialogue. Esquisse d’une herméneutique heideggérienne
Heidegger’s hermeneutic phenomenology is characterised by an ambiguous conception of hermeneia. This conception persists implicitly even in the transformation of the thought of finitude in a historial experience of the said of poets. I examine here the lot of hermeneia in Being and Time, after which I attempt to show that, in spite of the appearances, in «Wozu Dichter ?», which dates from 1946, we are also dealing with hermeneia, thought of as an experience of Being. In this Heideggerian hermeneutic, we find the beginning of a reflection which, if it had not been contradicted at the same time, but had on the contrary been completed, could have situated the question of dialogue in the heart of hermeneia. And what if the thought of Being, before a dialogue on the meaning of Being, could make room for a consideration of the meaning itself of Being as a dialogue ?
Tutkimuksemme tavoitteena on saamiemme tulosten perusteella kehittää varustamolle kehitysehdotuksia koskien m/aux Maritaa. Tutkimuksessa on perehdytty myös muiden m/aux Maritan kaltaisten kaljaasien toimintaan. Tutkimus on toteutettu syksyn 2012 aikana. Tutkimusotteemme on kvalitatiivinen tutkimus.
Kaljaasi m/aux Maritan on olennainen osa Porvoon jokimiljöötä ja tärkeä saaristokulttuurin säilymisen kannalta. Kaljaasi m/aux Marita on pelastettu takaisin kotiseudulleen Porvooseen Ruotsista 90-luvun alkupuolella, mutta on nyt vaarassa lopettaa toimintansa.
Teoreettisen viitekehyksen kokoamisen jälkeen aloitimme aineiston keruun tutkimustamme varten. Aineisto tutkimukseen on kerätty tekemällä asiantuntijahaastatteluja sekä vertailemalla muiden kaljaasien internet-sivuja kaljaasi m/aux Maritan internet-sivuihin. Asiantuntijahaastattelut saatiin m/aux Maritan toimintaan keskeisesti liittyviltä henkilöiltä.
Saatujen tulosten perusteella m/aux Maritan toivotaan ennen kaikkea säilyvän Porvoossa. Kaljaasi m/aux Maritalla on tällä hetkellä epävarma tulevaisuus ja pahimmassa tapauksessa se poistuu Porvoosta. Mikäli m/aux Marita säilyy Porvoossa, on sen toimintaa kehitettävä useilla eri sektoreilla.
Opinnäytetyömme viimeisessä luvussa on esitelty kehitysehdotukset. The objective of this thesis was to investigate galley m/aux Marita as a tourism product and to develop its operations. This study also examines other galleries, similar to m/aux Marita. This study was conducted during the fall of 2012 and it was commissioned by shipping company Marita Oy Rederi Ab and tour operator Porvoo Tours Oy. The methodical approach of this study was qualitative.
Galley m/aux Marita represents an important piece of Porvoo’s river milieu and plays a major role in preserving the culture in Porvoo archipelago. The galley was rehabilitated to Porvoo from Sweden in early 1990s, however it is currently in danger of terminating all operations in Porvoo.
After the theoretical framework of this study had been formed, the process of data collection was begun. The data were collected by conducting expert interviews and by benchmarking internet pages of other galleries and subsequently comparing these with the internet pages of m/aux Marita. Author Forsell’s work placement experiences were also beneficial for the study. Expert interviews were conducted with people deeply in-volved with m/aux Marita.
The data collected primarily suggest that m/aux Marita should stay in Porvoo. Yet, the future for m/aux Marita is currently uncertain and the worst case scenario is the galley leaving Porvoo. However, if m/aux Marita remains in Porvoo its operations should be developed in various different sectors.
Finally, the last chapter of this study presents development suggestions for m/aux Marita. The development suggestions are based on collected data as well as Forsell’s work placement experiences in Porvoo Tours Oy as well as on findings and ideas drawn from the research. Development suggestions include development in the following sectors: marketing, internet pages, partnership with HAAGA-HELIA university of applied sciences and public cruises

Marita Napier donated the valuable items pertaining to her life and impressive record of achievements to the University of Pretoria. After thorough processing, research and analysis of the information on Napier's professional career, this donation is beneficial to researchers nationally and internationally. Because of the author's involvement with the Marita Napier Collection and with Marita Napier personally she started this dissertation on Napier's life and career. The author visited her several times during the final months of her illness and as a consequence received invaluable hints and illuminating information covering her professional career. The research question for this study focuses on the main stages of Marita Napier's life and career and her contribution to the world of opera from 1963 until 2002. The aim of the study was to chronologically present her life and career until she received the Heritage Charter in 2002 from the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival in the recognition of her outstanding international singing career. To achieve these aims all available sources were chronologically structured to provide, as accurately as possible, an exposition of her life and career. In addition to these sources interviews were held with Napier and various acquantances. Every available publication pertaining to her life and professional career were duly scrutinized. This includes the curriculum vitas of Napier of all her appearances between 1968 and 1999 and of Robert Lombardo, Napier's agent in New York, from 1972 to 1988. In evaluating Napier's contributions to the world of opera overseas and in South Africa, the author came to the conclusion that her greatest contributions were her exceptional interpretations of the music of Wagner and Strauss worldwide.
Napier achieved great recognition and also gave exceptional interpretations of 'Lieder'. An equally great contribution was the presentation of Napier's master classes overseas. One of Napier's memorable contributions to opera in South Africa was the way in which she shared her wide experience while training potential opera singers.http://explore.up.ac.za/record=b1718104MMus (Musicology
The Fading of an Archimedean Point: Stage and audience reconsidered
Instead of a new “turn” of forms, the current landscape of performing arts is dominated by an immediate demand for political relevance, as well as by a correlative feeling of powerlessness. This can, however, no longer be grasped in terms of an opposition between autonomous and politically engaged art, because the framework of this opposition can no longer apply. Drawing on a distinction between renegotiation of power and desire, and transferring it into the field of performing arts, allows me to address epistemologically the shift we are currently facing. The emergence of new forms, as well as the way they are received, testify to the fading of an Archimedean point, the fading of a point from which to cast an eye on the artistic process of the emergence of forms. Hannah Arendt’s The Human Condition becomes then strangely relevant. She advocates the unconditional that comes to the fore with the human condition, while criticizing harshly the utilitarian consequences of the discovery of an Archimedean point in western cultural history. I argue that reconsidering “stage” and “audience” as space of appearance, we can take a stand for that which punctuates the emergence of forms, without considering it from an Archimedean point.
