Newer and older antiepileptic drug use in Southern Italy; a population-based study durino the years 2003-2005
No full textAIM: To analyse the prescribing pattern of newer and older antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) during the years 2003-2005.
METHODS:
From the Caserta-1 Local Health Service database, 93 general practitioners (GPs) were recruited. Among 127,389 individuals aged > or =15 years registered in the lists of these GPs, we selected patients who received at least one AED prescription during the study period. Use of newer and older AEDs was calculated as 1-year prevalence and incidence as well as defined daily dose (DDD) per 1000 inhabitants/day. Sub-analyses by gender, age and indication of use were performed.
RESULTS:
Overall, prevalence and incidence of use remained stable for older AEDs, while it strongly increased for newer AEDs. In particular, 25% increase of incident treatments with newer AED have been reported from 2004 to 2005. The total volume of AED use remained stable during the study years, despite the proportion of newer AEDs slightly increased (from 24.6% in 2003 to 30.1% in 2005). The main indication of use was epileptic disorders for older AEDs (56% of users), and neuropathic pain for newer AEDs (69%).
CONCLUSIONS:
Prevalence and incidence of use of newer AED strongly increased during the years 2003-2005 in a general practice of Southern Italy. Significant differences are shown in the prescribing pattern of newer and older medications: older AEDs are mainly used in the treatment of epileptic disorders, while newer compounds are preferred for conditions other than epilepsy, in particular neuropathic pain

No full textThe aim of this thesis is to determine how women are treated in selectedworks of Henry de Montherlant. This is explored by examining their relationshipswith other women as well as with men. Inevitably, this leads to an analysis ofthe multifaceted area of love. Part I researches Montherlant's prose work and included in this section is the investigation of the importance of 'l'ordre male' to the author and the influence this exerts over his early prose work in the areas of tauromachy, war and sport, and where the male adherence to this concept leaves women. The 'syncretisme et alternance' which is central to Montherlant's thinking is explored in this section.Part 2 is concerned with Montherlant's theatre in which the psychological development of the main characters is of great importance. It is in this section that a comparative study is made of the influence of Mme. Elisabeth Zehrfuss' written contribution to La Reine morte. Her unpublished notes are set out in full in the Appendix. The thesis also draws on the unpublished correspondence between Henry de Montherlant and Elisabeth Zehrfuss between the years 1934 and 1945. An investigation is made as to whether or not there are any differences between the way women are treated in Montherlant's prose and in his theatre and the conclusion is drawn that there are

No full textAnak tunarungu karena keterbatasan mendengarnya mengalami hambatan dalam menepatkan gerak tari dengan baik meskipun anak sudah menghafal sebuah gerakan tarian. Ketepatan gerak tari mengacu pada keselarasan antara ritmik musik dan ritmik gerak. Ketepatan dalam sebuah tarian adalah hal kecil namun penting dan harus ada pada komponen tarian supaya menghasilkan wirama, wiraga, dan wirasa. Ketepatan gerak tari akan ditandai oleh keselarasan ritmik gerak dan ritmik musik pada durasi tertentu. Data kapangan menunjukan bahwa anak belum mampu menepatkan ritmik gerak dan ritmik musik pada saat menari. Untuk meningkatkan ketepatan pada anak dalam sebuah tarian dibutuhkan sebuah media yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan anak. Salah satunya adalah media lampu ritmik, yaitu media yang mampu merubah ritme musik menjadi sebuah cahya sehingga anak tidak lagi terfokuskan pada seorang instruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode single subject research dengan desain A-B-A. dari data yang du peroleh menunjukan adanya peningkatan presentase ketepatan gerak tari setelah diberikan intervensi dari baseline-1 (A-1) ke baseline-2 (A-2) sebesar 38.12%. data tersebut menjelaskan bahwa media lampu ritmik dapat berpengaruh kepada ketepatan gerak tari anak tunarungu. Dengan demikian media lampu ritmik ini dapat di gunakan sebagai media yang dapat meningkatan ketepatan gerak tari anak tunarung
