Tamara Shaya Hoffmann is a peacebuilder and filmmaker currently living in Washington, DC. As a conflict specialist for the United States Agency for International Development, she supports peace programs in the Middle East, advises on gender and conflict issues, and delivers peace and conflict training for agency staff. Previously, Tamara served as a foreign affairs officer at the U.S Consulate in Dubai, UAE, where she promoted bi-lateral relations on behalf of the State Department. Prior to working for the U.S. government, Tamara served as a consultant for the ONE Campaign working on HIV/AIDS issues and worked for a non-profit promoting dialogue between Christians and Muslims. Tamara received her MA in Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame and her BA in Media Communications from Taylor University
