The issue of humaliation or insult towards prophet muhammad (pbuh): several commands on manners in the surah of al-hujurat

    No full text
Lately, cases of insults against the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) are quite common in our country, especially on the social media. Why is this happening when Muslims are the majority population in the country? Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to highlight issues of humiliation against the Prophet (PBUH) and to explain some of the commands of Allah in the form of manners of respect for him in the Quran. This study uses content analysis method with reference to thematic interpretations or tafsir mawdhu\u27i as method of analysis. The Muslim scholars have stated that Rasulullah (PBUH) is the most glorious being of Allah who should be honored based on what had been commanded by Quranic texts and hadiths. Therefore, in accordance with the height of his dignity and glory, Allah has set forth in this Surah al-Hujurat several manners and ethics toward the Prophet (PBUH) for the believers to obey and practice in life. If the ethics toward Prophet Muhammad were respected and practiced by all Muslims, then the incident of contempt against him would not have happened

Including material and photographs not included in most of the 100 other books about the champion, Ishmael Reed's The Complete Muhammad Ali is more than just a biography-it is a fascinating portrait of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. An honest, balanced portrayal of Ali, the book includes voices that have been omitted from other books. It charts Ali's evolution from Black Nationalism to a universalism, but does not discount the Nation of Islam and Black Nationalism's important influence on his intellectual development. Filipino American author Emil Guillermo speaks about how "The Thrilla' In Manila" brought the Philippines into the 20th century. Fans of Muhammad Ali, boxing fans, and those interested in modern African American history and the Nation of Islam will be fascinated by this biography by an accomplished American author.Intro -- DEDICATION -- INTRODUCTION -- The Curious History of an Icon -- CHAPTER 1 -- CHAPTER 2 -- CHAPTER 3 -- CHAPTER 4 -- CHAPTER 5 -- CHAPTER 6 -- CHAPTER 7 -- Did the Secret Government Fear a U.S. Muslim/Overseas Muslim Alliance? -- CHAPTER 8 -- CHAPTER 9 -- The Break Between the Prophet and his Disciple -- CHAPTER 10 -- CHAPTER 11 -- CHAPTER 12 -- The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time): Ali or Louis? -- CHAPTER 13 -- The Nation of Islam, the Mob, Showdowns in Canada and Sonny Liston -- CHAPTER 14 -- CHAPTER 15 -- The Taunts: Marketing or Racism? -- CHAPTER 16 -- CHAPTER 17 -- CHAPTER 18 -- CHAPTER 19 -- Boxing and the Brain -- CHAPTER 20 -- Ali's Feet -- CHAPTER 21 -- Mr. Dick -- CHAPTER 22 -- CHAPTER 23 -- The Opening Ceremonies, November 2005 -- CHAPTER 24 -- December 2005, Las Vegas -- CHAPTER 25 -- CHAPTER 26 -- June 16, 2004 -- CHAPTER 27 -- CHAPTER 28 -- CHAPTER 29 -- Aix-en-Provence -- CHAPTER 30 -- Ali as a Black Nationalist -- San Francisco, January 2004 Black Liberation Book Fair -- CHAPTER 31 -- January 31, 2004 -- CHAPTER 32 -- October 2005, Chicago -- CHAPTER 33 -- Why Ali remained with Elijah instead of following Malcolm -- CHAPTER 34 -- CHAPTER 35 -- February 4, 2006, Oakland, California -- CHAPTER 36 -- Like Zeus Descending from Mount Olympus -- CHAPTER 37 -- CHAPTER 38 -- Tuesday, February 28, 2006, New York -- CHAPTER 39 -- Bigger Than Boxing -- CHAPTER 40 -- Tribes Gallery, New York, April 2006 -- CHAPTER 41 -- June 2006, Louisville, Kentucky -- CHAPTER 42 -- CHAPTER 43 -- CHAPTER 45 -- Bad Company -- CHAPTER 46 -- Coxson, A Very Charming Rogue -- CHAPTER 47 -- Ali and the largest embezzlement scheme in Wells Fargo history -- CHAPTER 48 -- CHAPTER 49 -- "Lonnie is a stabilizing force."-Harry Belafonte -- October 29, 2006 -- CHAPTER 50 -- Abdul Rahman -- CHAPTER 51 -- CHAPTER 52 -- CHAPTER 53How Will Ali Be Remembered? Query proof structure caching for incremental evaluation of tabled prolog programs / Taher Muhammad Ali

PROLOG is the most well known, widely used programming language for logic programming. PROLOG is a programming language that uses a small set of basic mechanisms to create surprisingly powerful programs. These mechanisms are pattern-matching, treebased data structuring and backtracking. PROLOG is used for the development of scheduling systems, knowledge systems, expert systems and many other applications. However, being goal-driven (query driven) PROLOG’S query engine suffers from some well-known problems such as susceptibility to infinite looping, repeated subcomputation and unsatisfactory semantics of negation. These limitations have been addressed by the tabled extensions (TLP) to PROLOG evaluation. The main idea of tabling is to cache the answers for computations and then reuse them when a repeated computation appears. The TLP approach assumes that the database of facts/rules, of which the query results drawn from, remains constant through time and therefore the tabulated results are assumed to remain valid. This prohibits the use of TLP in non-monotonic logic where such an assumption cannot be guaranteed. To overcome this problem the idea of incremental tabulation has been introduced. An incrementally maintained table is one that continually contains the correct answers in the presence of updates to underlying predicates on which the tabled predicate depends. The critical challenges for incremental evaluation are how to detect and update the tabled answers due to the changes in the database of facts and rules associated with the tabled answers. ii This thesis presents an alternative approach to incremental tabulation that is capable of working in non-monotonic situations. The basic idea of our approach is that, as the PROLOG inference engine evaluates the query for the first time, the answers returned by the engine for the query are converted into a justification-based truth-maintenance system (JTMS) network. Every successful branch is translated into a JTMS network that links the facts used in the proof branch to the answer generated by that branch. When the same query is re-evaluated, the query engine collects the valid answers for the query at that moment and returns them by using the cached proof structure for the query. When the state of database is changed, the JTMS component propagates the effect of the change through its network to maintain the consistency of old proofs. At the same time, the database monitor keeps watching the addition of the new data (facts/rules) to the system and triggers the resumption of previously proven queries in order to update their proof structure. The outcome of this thesis is JLOG. JLOG is a sub-system integrated with PROLOG inference engine which supports incremental tabled extensions to PROLOG evaluation. The thesis presents the design, necessary data structures, algorithms and implementation details of JLOG. The results of comparing the performance of JLOG to regular PROLOG and Tabled PROLOG systems are also presented

The Validation of the Exegetical Views of al-Mizan and al-Manar about “Raising the Mountains” and “Metamorphosis of Bani Isra’il”

Despite the different and sometimes contradictory perceptions and interpretations of the Noble Qur’an within the past 14 centuries, the unprecedented developments in the realm of empirical science at the contemporary age have made the commentators to boost their scientific and rational look at the Qur’anic verses regardless of their different exegetical methods and principles. Muhammad Abduh as one of the founding figures of Neo-Mu’tazilism has attempted to adopt a moderate approach to the extraordinary events in the Qur’an. Therefore, although he has admitted those events he has also proposed some scientific probabilities and justifications for them. However, the author of Tafsir al-Mizan holds that bringing scientific justifications denotes the denial of the extraordinary events in the Qur’an. Allameh Tabatabaii believes that the appropriate perception is to accept the miracles as extraordinary events beyond scientific rules. He has also focused on the philosophical and rational interpretation of those extraordinary events that seems to be more logical in his view. The subject of the present study is the comparative study of “raising the mountain” and “metamorphosis of Bani Isra’il” as two extraordinary events in the Qur’an and the validation of the evidences for them. © Razawi, S.M; Taher, M; Nabavi, S.M.
