This study explores the linguistic aspects that underpin the expression and perception of smiling in English and Uzbek, as well as how the words “smile/tabassum” is linguistically and culturally actualized in these languages. This research paper clarifies how “smile/tabassum” represent different cultural values through a comparative cultural analysis. Although smiling is a positive social tool in both languages, the results show that its applications and social interpretations differ greatly, underscoring the impact of cultural norms on language use

No full textPoribohon-BD is a vehicle dataset of 15 native vehicles of Bangladesh. The vehicles are: i) Bicycle, ii) Boat, iii) Bus, iv) Car, v) CNG, vi) Easy-bike, vii) Horse-cart, viii) Launch, ix) Leguna, x) Motorbike, xi) Rickshaw, xii) Tractor, xiii) Truck, xiv) Van, xv) Wheelbarrow. The dataset contains a total of 9058 images with a high diversity of poses, angles, lighting conditions, weather conditions, backgrounds. All of the images are in JPG format. The dataset also contains 9058 image annotation files. These files state the exact positions of the objects with labels in the corresponding image. The annotation has been performed manually and the annotated values are stored in XML files. LabelImg tool by Tzuta Lin has been used to label the images. Moreover, data augmentation techniques have been applied to keep the number of images comparable to each type of vehicle. Human faces have also been blurred to maintain privacy and confidentiality. The data files are divided into 15 individual folders. Each folder contains images and annotation files of one vehicle type. The 16th folder titled ‘Multi-class Vehicles’ contains images and annotation files of more than one type of vehicle. al-lafdziyyah. Puisi Al-‘Ilaj bit Tabassum adalah puisi karya penyair arab yang
bernama Ahmad al-Kashif yang berasal dari Mesir. Setelah penulis cermati
langsumg dengan teliti setiap bait puisinya, penulis menemukan beberapa kata
yang memiliki unsur Al-muhassinat al-lafdziyyah, dari segi kuantitas, penulis
menemukan dalam setiap baris tercantum 1-2 unsur al-muhassinat allafdziyyahnya.
Dari data-data yang penulis jelaskan di atas, terjadi dua pertanyaan besar,
yang selanjutnya akan penulis kaji dalam skripsi ini, yaitu, 1.) apa saja jenis-jenis
al-muhassinat al-lafdziyyah dalam puisi al-‘Ilaj bit Tabassum?, 2.) apa tujuan almuhassinat
al-lafdziyyah dalam puisi al-‘Ilaj bit Tabassum?. Al-muhassinat allafdziyyah
itu sendiri adalah cara memperindah kalam yang menitikberatkan pada
memperindah lafadz. Memperindah kata di sini misalnya ada kata dengan huruf
yang sama, tapi berbeda susunannya, huruf qofiyah dan wazannya pada akhir bait
sama sehingga menjadikan susunannya indah dibaca. Untuk menganalisis
permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian
kepustakaan, yang diawali dengan pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kajian
pustaka, pemilihan dan pencatatan data (dilakukan dengan mencari bait-bait puisi
al-‘Ilaj bit Tabassum yang mengandung unsur-unsur al-muhassinat al-lafdziyyah)
yang kemudian dianalisis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis jenis al-muhassinat al-lafdziyyah dalam puisi tersebut dan menemukan tujuan

5G NR sidelink time domain based resource allocation in C-V2X
No full textThis study explores the need for efficient resource allocation in fifth generation (5G) New Radio (NR) sidelink communication for cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) applications. With the advent of 5G networks, C-V2X can enable direct connection between neighboring vehicles and infrastructure without relying on the cellular network. However, direct communication between devices in 5G NR sidelink makes resource allocation more challenging than in a cellular network. Efficient resource allocation is essential to maintain dependable communication, especially in crowded and interference-prone contexts. There are different type of resource allocation methods such as time-domain, frequency-domain, and power-domain resource allocation, which can be used separately or in combination to achieve efficient resource allocation. In this study, the authors discuss time domain based resource allocation method based on packet generation time and packet allocation time. The implications of efficient resource allocation in 5G NR sidelink in C-V2X include increased signal-to-noise ratio, reduced interference, lower latency, and increased network capacity. The proposed approach is demonstrated on a Network Simulator (NS3.34) along with the traffic scenarios generated using Simulated Urban Mobility (SUMO). Our results demonstrate that time allocation is a promising approach to achieve efficient resource allocation, enabling safer and more effective transportation systems for C-V2X applications
