Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Endang Prahastuti, M.Pd.Kata Kunci: Insentif Finansial, Insentif Non Finansial, Kinerja.Salah satu cara untuk mencapai tujuan suatu perusahaan, adalah perlu adanya motivasi, agar karyawan mampu bekerja dengan baik. Bentuk motivasi yang sering dilakukan perusahaan yaitu dengan cara memenuhi kebutuhan karyawanya, antara lain dengan mengupayakan insentif. Salah satu restoran di kota Malang yang memperhatikan kesejahteraan karyawan dengan memberikan insentif, yaitu Restoran Ikan Bakar 52. Sayangnya pelaksanaan pemberian insentif tersebut belum proporsional dan tidak bersifat progresif, sehingga membuat kualitas kinerja karyawan menurun. Adanya permasalahan insentif tersebut dianggap wajar, mengingat Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 baru beroperasi kurang lebih selama 2 tahun dan masih dalam tahap pembenahan manajemen. Hal inilah yang membuat peneliti tertarik ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut seberapa besar pengaruh insentif terhadap kinerja karyawan Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 Malang yang masih dalam tahap pembenahan manajemen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian insentif finansial dan insentif non finansial terhadap kinerja karyawan, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Peneliti menggunakan rancangan penelitian exsplanatori dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 52 karyawan Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan uji t dan F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Ada pengaruh pemberian insentif finansial terhadap kinerja karyawan Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 Malang; 2) Ada pengaruh pemberian insentif non finansial terhadap kinerja karyawan Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 Malang; 3) Ada pengaruh pemberian insentif finansial dan insentif non finansial secara simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 Malang. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, penulis memberikan saran kepada Restoran Ikan Bakar 52 Malang, agar lebih memperhatikan pelaksanaan pemberian insentif finansial, seperti bonus dan tunjangan yang lebih baik, karena dari hasil analisis data secara parsial, pelaksanaan pemberian insentif finansial memiliki pengaruh dengan persentase lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan insentif non finansial. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan acuan untuk penelitian yang serupa dengan indikator-indikator lain yang belum tercantum dalam penelitian ini.ABSTRACTSukardi, Giat. 2010. Unfortunately the implementation of incentives has not been proportional and not progressive, which makes the quality of employee performance decreases. The existence of these incentive problems are considered reasonable, given the new Grill Fish Restaurant operates approximately 52 during the second year and still under construction management. This is what makes researchers want to know more interested in how big influence on employee performance incentives Grill Fish Restaurant 52 Malang is still under construction management. The purpose of this study to investigate the influence of financial incentive and non-financial incentives to employee performance, either partially or simultaneously. Researcher exsplanatori research design was used with 52 study subjects were employees Grill Fish Restaurant 52 Malang. Data collection technique using a closed questionnaire. Analysis of data in this study using multiple linear regression analysis using t test and F. Results showed that 1) There is the influence of financial incentives partially to the employee's performance Grill Fish Restaurant 52 Malang; 2) There is the influence of non-financial incentives to employees performance Grill Fish Restaurant 52 Malang; 3) There is the influence of financial incentives and non financial incentives on performance simultaneously Grill Fish Restaurant 52 employees Malang. Based on research that has been done, the author provides advice to the leadership of Grill Fish Restaurant 52 Malang, so more attention to the implementation of financial incentives such as bonuses and better benefits, because of the partial results of data analysis, implementation, financial incentives to have more influence with the percentage small compared with the non-financial incentives. The results of this study can be used as reference for similar studies with other indicators that have not been included in this study
Modelagem de conhecimento estratégico nos processos de negócio: proposta de um modelo suportado pela metodologia CommonKADS

Esse conhecimento necessita ser mapeado de acordo com as diretrizes estratégicas da organização. Desta forma, este estudo pretende resolver, através da Engenharia do Conhecimento, o seguinte problema: Como modelar o conhecimento estratégico presente nos processos de negócio? O objetivo geral é propor um modelo organizacional que permita priorizar o conhecimento estratégico presente nos processos de negócio, representando-o de forma a obter diretrizes que orientem os software a suportar a gestão do conhecimento, ampliando a performance organizacional. Os objetivos específicos são: identificar e definir critérios para determinar o que é conhecimento estratégico nos processos de negócio; alinhar a visão estratégica à formalização do conhecimento estratégico presente nos processos de negócio; estabelecer indicadores para a avaliação da aderência da modelagem do conhecimento estratégico com os sistemas de apoio às práticas de GC; estabelecer a aplicação da metodologia CommonKADS para verificação do modelo proposto. Este estudo classifica-se como uma pesquisa exploratória, com a aplicação do modelo criado através de estudos de caso nas empresas Docol Metais Sanitários e Claris Portas e Janelas. Como resultados alcançados têm-se a formulação de um modelo com orientação estratégica, estruturado para modelagem de conhecimento nos processos de negócio; a aplicação do modelo através de estudo de caso e a contribuição para o desenvolvimento de propostas de modelos que auxiliem as organizações a sustentar suas estratégias de Gestão do Conhecimento através de técnicas de Engenharia do Conhecimento
O estereótipo em personagens femininas: Um estudo de caso do filme “Garota Exemplar”
The representation of female characters through stereotypes in films can be considered as old as cinema itself. This feature can be used to help introduce a character to the viewer, bring surprises to the plot or even act as a key factor within a narrative, as is the case of the film adaptation of the best-selling book "Gone Girl" by the author Gillian Flynn, which portrays the story of a couple (Nick and Amy), whose lives take a huge turn after the wife disappears under mysterious circumstances. In this sense, the present work aims, through a case study, to expose and understand how stereotypes are applied, reinforced and manipulated by the author to guide the public's opinion during the plot of 2014, in order to become an element of great importance. relevance throughout the events of the film.A representação de personagens femininas por meio de estereótipos em filmes pode ser considerada tão antiga quanto o próprio cinema. Este recurso pode ser empregado para auxiliar na apresentação de um personagem ao espectador, trazer surpresas ao enredo ou até mesmo atuar como um fator-chave dentro de uma narrativa, como é o caso da adaptação cinematográfica do best-seller "Garota Exemplar" da autora Gillian Flynn, que retrata a história de um casal (Nick e Amy), cuja vida tem uma grande reviravolta depois que a esposa desaparece em circunstâncias misteriosas. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho objetiva através de um estudo de caso expor e compreender como estereótipos são aplicados, reforçados e manipulados pela autora para conduzir a opinião do público no desenrolar da trama de 2014, de forma a tornarse um elemento de grande relevância ao longo dos acontecimentos do filme

Fernando Pessoa’s work constantly evokes authorship questions, mainly because it was assigned to different heteroryms and was left unpublished at the time of his death. The word “author” is seldom used in an explicit way by Pessoa, who often writes about the hero or the genius’s character. I will argue, in this article, that the Book of Disquietude was created in order to theorize and to prove what he could have defined as an exemplary author. I will thus try to justify the singularity of this book.A obra de Fernando Pessoa, atribuída a diversos heterónimos e deixada maioritariamente inédita à hora da sua morte, levanta frequentes questões de autoria. O termo “autor” é raramente utilizado de forma explícita por Pessoa, que prefere referir-se ao herói ou ao génio. Defenderei, neste artigo, que Pessoa concebe o Livro do Desassossego como teoria e prova daquilo que poderia ter definido como autor exemplar. Considerarei, com esse intuito, os aspectos que me parecem justificar a singularidade deste livro

Advisor: Dr. YazidBasthomi, M.A Keywords: author self-references, authorial voice, corpus study Establishing strong authorial voice can be achieved through authorial explicit presence in a text. A number of the previous research projects have argued that first person pronoun is the most pivotal way in projecting the author identity. Building upon theerstwhile research findings(see e.g. Hyland, 2001; 2002b), the present corpus based study aims at examining kinds of author self-referencesand how they are employed by EFL learners to establish authorialvoice in thesis writing. The corpus data were taken from 124 undergraduate theses submitted in the past three consecutive years (2013, 2012, and 2011) to the English Department, State University of Malang. I utilized digital corpus software, namely AntConc 3.2.4w, to analyze the corpus comprising of 1.587.059 words in total. This process is an attempt to find out self-references established in thesis writing. Referring to Hyland (2001: 212) who has found 28 expressions of self-mention, there are no less than 18 varieties of author self-referencefound in this study, attesting the notion that the academic writing of EFL students undeniably indicates the enactment of authorial voice. Concerning the next question, the rhetorical choice of EFL students in employing self-references, I made some classifications regarding the distributionofself-references in the selected thesis’ sections—main and parenthetic academic texts—and the writer’s point of views: first person singular pronouns, first person plural pronouns and third person singular pronouns.Since the analysis of the present study used inductive method, the emergence of any issues in further discussion is likely to happen; hence, the present study also can be referred to as qualitative research. Despite the ample studies focused on first person pronouns as author self-representation, this study is distinct in that it discloses some empirics regarding the use of author non-pronoun self-references which stands out as the most prevalent author self-referencesin EFL students’ academic texts. Having said this, I hypothetically believe that the rhetorical choice of author self-references is very much influenced by current issues in academic writing and predominantly by cultural norms (and inculcation) of the EFL students.
ADMINISTRAÇÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA: EM BUSCA DE UMA EPISTEMOLOGIA
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma análise epistemológica de alguns trabalhos relacionados à Administração Universitária. Para tanto, foram selecionados textos referentes às últimas cinco décadas, os quais foram analisados em ordem cronológica. Estes textos foram escolhidos de forma intencional, levando-se em consideração principalmente a abrangência e a importância nacional e internacional (fazer parte de um evento internacional ligado a um organismo internacional, por exemplo). A partir da leitura destes fez-se a análise, partindo-se do pressuposto que a epistemologia da Administração Universitária converge com a epistemologia da Administração, podendo ser considerada inclusive um sub-campo desta. Conclui-se que se faz necessário um repensar crítico das teorias administrativas que dê conta de toda complexidade inerente a todas as organizações, incluindo aí as universidades
Decay of turbulence at high Reynolds numbers
Using the unique capabilities of the Variable Density Turbulence Tunnel at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization, we investigated virtually homogeneous and isotropic grid turbulence over a wide range of Reynolds numbers, , between and . The choice of pressurizable Sulfur Hexafluoride as a working gas makes it possible to reach extremely high Reynolds numbers without changing boundary conditions. Indeed, the Reynolds number we reached were higher than any previous classical grid wind-tunnel experiment. In this talk, we focus on the fundamental question of how fast turbulent energy decays once it has been created, and show that the Reynolds number plays no important role in setting the decay rate if it is high enough
