Iran and the Global Financial Crisis

    No full text
The global financial crisis is set to depress oil producing economies. As the crisis is already pushing down oil prices, a firm response to the fallout of the crisis from governments and central banks is expected. Oil prices have tumbled more than 70% since their July peak and there are fears they could continue their plunge because of diminishing demand caused by the current financial meltdown. Though, the Iranian government does not seem to be greatly concerned about the ongoing global situation, although many Iranian economists believe that sanctions and the international financial crisis will soon be taking their toll on Iran’s economy by unfavorably affecting oil, trade, and trade financing. Even if the relative isolation from the world’s economy may seem to protect Iran from the negative impact of the global financial crisis to a certain extend at least for now, plunging oil prices and a massive credit deterioration suggest otherwise.Iran; Financial Crisis; Oil Revenue; Currency Exchange; Currency Crash

    Iran’s Banking and Monetary Problems

    No full text
Iran has had many self-imposed economic crises. Many of which relate to the poorly managed banking system as well as flawed monetary and fiscal policy. Inefficiency of the banking-monetary system in Iran is a well known fact. A complete overhaul of the current system should be one of the essential priorities of any economic reformation and development. The banking-monetary system of any country has a key role in its economic efficiency and strength, price stability, production, and economic growth. The main functions of a banking-monetary system are to provide fiscal resources, to prepare ground for optimal allocation of capital in the economy, to distribute the wealth in the best possible way, and to ease economic development. This is particularly important in Iran because capital markets are underdeveloped.Iran; Banking; Monetary Policy; Fiscal Policy

    No full text
Differential Global Navigation Satellites System (DGNSS) is GNSS augmentation system based on enhancement to the primary GNSS constellations information. DGNSS uses fixed terrestrial reference station coordinates to accurately correct the user position by providing differential correction. This research was conducted with aim to compare positioning using Atlas-L with different satellites combinations. This research was conducted to determine the continuity of data given by Atlas-L band, to analyse the accuracy of positioning data using differential satellites combinations of Atlas-L band. Data acquisition was conducted by using Hemisphere receiver VS330 and antenna A43 on 20th until 21nd July 2020. After that, data were filtered to classify data recorded. Statistical analysis was done to support the comparison of positioning data which is descriptive analysis, T Test analysis, horizontal error analysis, vector distance analysis and normal distribution graph. As the result of T Test analysis show that GPS only data recorded in 95% confidence level with the lower value of difference is 0.022 meter and the upper value is 0.863 meter while for combination of GPS and Beidou, the data recorded based on 95% confidence level with the lower value of difference is 0.004 meter and the upper value is 0.992 meter and combinations of GPS, Beidou, and Glonass is 0.160 meter and 0.632 meter. The final output of this research shows the comparison between positioning given different combinations compared to the known coordinates used. As a conclusion, the continuity of positioning data given by Atlas L-band in northern part of Malaysia are good and position given by Atlas L-band can be classify as Special Order based on classification table by International Hydrographic Organisation

The work of research and criticism demands honesty and sincerity. The ideas of a thinker are preserved by editing his literary works. Syed Muzaffar Hussain Barni compiled Iqbal's letters which are considered as an important literary achievement because such letters always help the researchers to know about the literary trends of a particular era as well as the style and diction of the writer. There are both positive and negative critical opinions on his work. Compiling these letters was not an easy task. The scope of Iqbal's letters is very wide. It was very difficult to get them together. Mr.  Barni completed this difficult compilation that made an easy access to Iqbal's letters. The work was lengthy, so there are some mistakes as well which have been identified. Barni's level of this effort builds new avenues of research and criticism. This has widened the scope of Iqbal Studies. Reference: Abdul haq, professor,Iqbal aur iqbaliyat, siri naga, mizan publications,2009,p 157.
